A simple search for "slew" in the F-16 topic will find this: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/318374-cursor-slewing-on-agm-65-weapon-page/#comment-5142835

Go into your Settings, Controls, choose Axis command from the scroll down menu just right of choosen type "FA-18C", then in the Axis commands, scroll down to where the joystick is shown (Roll and Bank Axis). Wobble your joystick back and forth to see in the Pitch (Y) axis the little white lines to extend left and right then retract to center when you let the joystick go. If you see even just a tiny bit of white line on either side off center, then the system feels your joystick being off center. Dunno what joystick do you have, but you either need to recalibrate it for the center to be really in center, and/or increase the dead zone setting until there is zero white line visible in neutral position. To adjust deadzone, RIGHT click on the cell in the joystick column and Pitch axis line, and choose "Tune combo axis". Find "dead zone" slider and increase it a bit with the mouse or with keypad left or right arrow after clicking on the slider button to highlight it.

Did you switch HMD on at all with the rheostat in a first place, on the right bottom corner of the instruent panel?
  4. Razor18's post in I can not assign APU start (or off) to the Warthog hotas throttle was marked as the answer
You should RIGHT click in the "APU 2-pos switch <ON> <OFF>" command row, AND in the Throttle column. After right click, select Add command, and switch the APU switch to ON on your physical throttle (it supposed to appear "Joystick button 20" in the cell). Then click OK.
