If only given one choice between the two, right now it would be the C101. Really looking forward to it! (Sorry if the equipment question has already been answered)

Hey Razbam team or ANYONE that may have some insight for that matter. I was just wondering how long it takes to convert a model from a platform like FSX to DCS? Do you have to recode EVERYTHING or are there some things that transfer. Also, I'm not really looking for exact times, just something like, "about a year and a half if all goes well". Something like that. Thanks for any information and looking forward to the Mirage!

I downloaded 1.2.8 yesterday and have been loving it! Congratulations to all the guys at ED that made it possible. I wish you success in all your future projects as well. My hats off to all those that made the Su-25t 6dof cockpit. I have been flying it like crazy and am surprised at how much it is an improvement over the other one. Great job guys and my best wishes!

Day 1 buy for me as well. I am really looking forward to fighting with it. Even though it'll be outlcassed, it will be fun to learn. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to humiliate some people in it.

The both of you have great insight. That's what I have been looking for as I have not yet done any kind of A to A combat in DCS. So lets just take the airframe of the Mig and talk about that. What do you guys think of the capabilities of the airframe itself facing teen series or eurofighters and mirages? Don't include missiles, ECM or anything like that, just the agility of the it. I know that one of the problems found when the US was testing the Mig was the complete lack of rear visibility....I think one of the guys said "If you see him flipping over and banking back and forth, he's not evading you, he's just trying to see you". And GO!

Hey Guys, really enjoyed seeing all this information come out. There is one thing that I'll mention, but I am not saying it to say that the Mig-21 stills holds a candle in modern warfare or anything like that, just something to discuss. All of the engagements that you guys mentioned from what I have been able to gather was a better trained pilot. I know that a lot of the smaller countries can't afford to send their fighters up every day to practice or to hold events like Red Flag in order to get better. Not saying it will make the 21 in DCS a competitor, just something to note and discuss. Thanks fellas!

Oh, I also meant to ask if there was a PFM of a drone that was done, would anyone even be interested in it. Thanks guys.

So here is a question. I have been thinking about this for a while, but have no modeling, C++ experience or anything like that. I flew drones in the military and have seen people talking about adding external models. So how hard would it be to have the pilot in a remote location flying the drone? I have always seen tutorials on how to build a piloted model, but never a remotely piloted model. Any way of doing that? Thinking about trying my hand at this using your guide to build it, but wasn't sure if it was possible.

Would you even consider loading the migs with a 2 g rockets or dumb bombs for a swift in and out attack in the off chance that the 25t's were able to clear a path through the sams?

Awsome, these are the tactics that I would like to know about. I know that the 1 on 1 situations are going to be really hard to win unless fighting like types. But I fly online quite a bit and try to use TS as much as possible. I do not have FC3 though so I don't know about those aircraft's capabilities. I know I'll probably be going out in support of ground attack or just as extra fighter support but nothing that will give a total air cover screen. So here is another scenario. Given 2 su-25t's loaded for SEAD and 2 Mig-21's for air cover....you are tasked attacking an enemy airfield. How would you set up the aircraft (weapons, fuel tanks, ect.) and what tactics would you use for the highest possible amount of destruction? If these scenarios are starting to bug anyone, let me know and I'll stop. :)

All are very good points. Here is another thing I would like your input on. Say it's not just the Mig 21 vs. F-15 situation. Let's say it is a multiplayer coalition flight where there is a Mig 21 and F-15 in one flight and a couple of su-27's on the opposing side. In what ways would you help the Mig 21 pilot if you were in the F-15?

Oh I know that, but still, I'll fly it against anything just to know what it can do better. I may only be a moving target for a while, but I'm sure I'll get the drop on someone sooner or later in a mig 21. It'll just be really neat to have all the different aircraft coming out fighting each other.

So I didn't want to make a thread about a poll, or what might or might not become feasible. This is mostly to discuss what missions that are played in multiplayer servers now (including the ground attack only missions) do you guys think the Mig will be added. Also, what mission scenarios do you guys think would make a fun "problem". I for one am interested in using the Bis for the ground attack role ever since I saw a Syrian Mig21 doing a rocket run on an FSA outpost. It made me wonder how accurate those strikes were. Anyways, if you guys are curious about some of the same things (Coordination between A-10C's and Ka-50's, mission objectives) then post em up and lets talk. I am really just looking for something to keep my mind occupied while waiting every moment for that final release day. Hope I didn't waste anyone's time with this and hopefully there will be some interesting ideas come from it.

Seems like we will have a bunch of new aircraft to play with soon....Mirages dueling it out with migs....c101's and Hawks making training passes across Georgia...a-10's scared to death of the new fast movers....gonna be interesting.

Yes, the A-4 would be great to have. If you ever have a chance, look up the documentary on youtube on the a-4. It's very interesting.

I am looking forward to seeing what is next in line. I love the Mig 21 and the way it looks...can't wait to fly it. I am REALLY interested in knowing what's next on the list. About when will we find that information out? Just curious. Good luck guys!
