Control surface checks during startup question
jasonstory44 replied to jasonstory44's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Thank you Pacoo. I bet you ate right and I’m making the mistake of hitting the T/O trim before checking. I’ll report back again when I get a chance to jump back in the pit. Knew I must be doing something out of order. Cheers -

Question I am hoping someone can help me out with. I am running the FCS-Bit at startup and get the ok on the FCS page. I then press takeoff trim and do my flight surfaces checks. I’m finding that my flight surfaces don’t always show full deflection on the FCS page. I guess most noticeably when I do full forward stick my stabilators will only deflect to 3 degrees nose up. Shouldn’t they get to 20 degrees ND? My other control surfaces get closer to the deflections in the check list but not perfect. Not sure what I’m doing wrong here Thanks in advance, Jason

Hey guys…is there a way to get the paid version of SSA to work with mods? More specifically trying to get it to work with the F-18E Superhornet mod. It works fine when I’m in the official Charlie jet but I get nothing with the modded jet. Even when I switch to generic jet. Thanks in advance, Jason -
Been running into a hell of a problem both in single and MP. All started after I reset my export lua due to flashing comms menu. That problem resolved but now whenever I transmit on a radio it adds an additional radio transmit in the voice attack window. One for each time I make a call out. It also seems to want to keep initializing chatter even though I don’t use it. Attached a screenshot in a separate post in this forum to better demonstrate (struggling to get pic in here)

Hmm. So you suggest resetting everything huh? Is there a way to backup profile so I don’t lose custom commands and added keywords?
-
this would be the fourth time I have tried to talk on TX1 in this example

Please help with the errors of n these logs
jasonstory44 replied to jasonstory44's topic in Mission Editor
Hmm…I don’t believe I have anything setup in the DCS editor for patrol zone. All my CAP flights are MOOSE driven and that script doesn’t seem to be throwing any errors but I will try and look through again -
If anyone can help or point me in the direction of how to track down and trouble shoot these errors greatly appreciated. The errors in my moose scripts seem fairly easy to track down as they tell you what line and script so these errors seem different and I’m at a loss of where to begin. any help greatly appreciated. thanks, Jason 2022-03-30 23:04:01.841 INFO SCRIPTING: Error in SCHEDULER function:[string "C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta\/~mis00005C9E.lua"]:126604: attempt to index field 'PatrolZone' (a nil value) 2022-03-30 23:04:01.841 INFO SCRIPTING: stack traceback: [string "C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta\/~mis00005C9E.lua"]:28323: in function <[string "C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta\/~mis00005C9E.lua"]:28319> [string "C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta\/~mis00005C9E.lua"]:126604: in function 'onafterPatrolRoute' [string "C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta\/~mis00005C9E.lua"]:131264: in function <[string "C:\Users\Jason\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta\/~mis00005C9E.lua"]:131261> (tail call): ? [ALL MODULES][SP/CO-OP] Liberation Dynamic Campaign
jasonstory44 replied to shdwp's topic in User Created Missions General
Just dipping my toes into the liberation waters. Two quick things I am hung up on. How can I change my AI SEAD package target waypoint to not be 0 AGL? I can’t seem to edit the waypoint or I’m missing something. Also they roll in and never launch any harms. Therefore they end up being quite useless. I must be missing something. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jason -

Just a quick bump to my previous question regarding afterburner for the F-18. I can’t seem to get the afterburner effect to be more dramatic than normal military power even if I crank afterburner effect way up. any thoughts on where I may be going wrong??? thanks, Jason
