SweetFX 1.5.1: Nvidia card Compatable!
Rise Tragedy replied to Rise Tragedy's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I don't know much about 1.4 as I never got it working correctly. Once I saw something about 1.5.1 with Nvidia Card compatibility I decided to give it a shot and voila. It worked great. From what I've heard, it features some bug fixes and some extra settings. But, again, I may be wrong as I have not used version 1.4. -

AIM-54 Phoenix on F15C?

Hmm...how does one tell the distance from one target to another in an F15C? -

AIM-54 Phoenix on F15C?
Rise Tragedy replied to Rise Tragedy's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I know of that way, but I'm just wondering if there was a way to get the F-15C's radar to recognize the AIM-54 and let me know when it's the ideal time to shoot. -
AIM-54 Phoenix on F15C?
Rise Tragedy replied to Rise Tragedy's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I've gotten it working as of about 4 hours ago. Now I'm wondering if there's any way to have the F-15C's system to recognize the Aim-54 as an Aim-54 and not an Aim-120 or an Aim-7. I've found the AIM-54 part of the code in DCS World/Config/Weapons/missiles_data.lua on line 1920. I don't know if this is what I want, but I'm guessing it may at least be a start. EDIT: I've also found looked in the F-14A.lua file and thought that maybe if I copied the radar from the F-14A and put it in the F-15C.lua with the F-15C's current radar so that are joined in some sort of way. I'm going to keep looking to see if there is a file for the individual radars and maybe somehow add the AIM-54 to that radar. -
I saw a video on Youtube that made the AIM-54 Phoenix on the F15C, and I was wondering if it was possible to do this with the current version of DCS World just for fun on a private server for me and my friends. If you know how to do this, please PM me, and not post on this thread so that it doesn't get out into the community. Thank you! EDIT: I've got it working, but don't know quite yet if it works correctly. According to Google, the range of the weapon is over 100 nm (120 mi), but even when I'm 44 mi away, I still get no launch authorization. (The orange lights next to the mirrors.) I don't know if it thinks it's an Aim120, or what. But I kind of want to get it to work completely.

I'm a bit of a screamo fan, to be honest. One of the bands that I like did an acoustic version of one of their songs. It's actually worth a listen, if you ask me. There's a lot of meaning in the lyrics, as well. Lyrics: So sick of screaming my lungs out; we both lose. You're never making a damn sound; can't keep my cool (can’t keep my cool) And I'm thinking it's my time to crawl back inside my mind; am I wasting a second of air? It's getting hard at the nights grow darker I realized suffering is far from done; my dreams have won. What a waste of my precious time you've been. and I have to give up, and I have to give up. When the cards are down and the space finally clears, hopefully you know (hopefully you know), and hopefully you know (hopefully you know) When the cards are down the space finally clears, hopefully you know (hopefully you know), hopefully you know So sick of screaming my lungs out; we both lose. You're never making a damn sound; can't keep my cool (can't keep my cool) And I'm thinking it's bout time to crawl back inside my mind; am I wasting a second of air? (ohh, wasting a second of air?) what a waste of my precious time you've been hopefully you know, and hopefully you know I have to give up, and I have to give up. hopefully you know, hopefully you know what a waste of my precious time you’ve been hopefully you know, hopefully you know.

None that I can really notice. And another thing you may want to know, Ralfi. I know you use Dxtory to record your videos with and what not. When I try to run Dxtory and DCS with SweetFX activated, it will crash the game right away. So, sadly you can't run Dxtory while using Sweet FX. For those who want to see my mods, here they are. EDIT: If you can't read the mods, here they are: A-10A C Audio Production Mod - diveplane F-15C E Audio Production Mod - diveplane IL-78M IL-76MD A-50 Audio Production Mod - diveplane Mig 29 Audio Production Mod - diveplane Su27 33 Audio Production Mod - diveplane UH-1H Audio Production Mod - diveplane Ka-50 Audio Production Mod - diveplane GAU-8A 30mm cannon Audio Mod - diveplane SU-25A SU-25T Audio Mod - diveplane A-10C Worn Cockpit - RICARDO (Recommended) MoreVisibility - Harke (Recommended - Fair amount of FPS hit, not too bad, though.) Highwayman Ed's Villages mod - Foxbeard's Terrain Mod - Rocky's Trees RAE_MOD - Tetra (A-10C Only) New Cirrus and Sky - Mustang Mustangs Clouds (Recommended) PeterP's HDR Mod (Recommended) diveplane's Shadow mod (Recommended) SweetFX 1.5.1 - CeeJay.dk -

This is with the default settings file. No changes were made: I'll upload more screenshots with tweaked setting when I find the time to edit my settings. EDIT: I also have a couple other mods such as Highways Villages, Foxbeards Noise and roads, rockeys trees, PeterP's HDR, Mustangs clouds, and Diveplanes shadow mod. -
From between 1.5 to .5 miles and about 30 degrees. Maybe less.

I don't know who else agrees with me, but it seems as though the Gau8 is a bit under powered. I heard somewhere that the gun is supposed to be able to take out a T-90 in about 2 seconds.

Bump. ^.^ -
Indeed it is, shelt. Thank you so much for the help!

Well, I'm sure a lot of you have been looking for a WORKING 1.5.1 version of SweetFX that works with Nvidia cards. If you haven't found it yet, here it is! Big thanks to Shelt for the link to this working version, and all of the help along the way. First what you want to do is make sure you have a fresh install of DCS: World. It is recommended that you use JSGME to do this. Next, go to this link, and download that. (If you don't have JSGME installed, now would be the time to go download it. Here is a good tutorial on how to fully install it. It's crucial that you follow every step in the exact order or there's a chance that you may mess something up. Link: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607&highlight=jsgme . Once you've gotten that done, place the "DCS SweetFX 151" folder into your "_MODS" folding in your DCS: World directory. Now, here's where you may have a problem: If you use the default SweetFX_settings.txt file, you may crash upon start up, because the exact same thing happened to me. It is recommended that you use my SweetFX_settings file, because mine works fine. It's literally the original settings file with the split screen disabled. The file is attached below. Once you have that downloaded, place that in the \DCS World\_MODS\DCS SweetFX 151 folder, and replace the old one. After you've completed that, simply enable SweetFX via JSGME and launch your game! Again, thank you to Shelt and everyone else who helped me out with my problems. SweetFX_settings.txt

So....what you're saying is that I need to leave the split screen option at the bottom of the settings file alone, and just disable it at the top? Wow it actually works....and boooyyyy does it look like eye candy:

Rise Tragedy replied to Ryan Barnes's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
With Ricardo's Horse of War cockpit re-texture, and this weathered A-10C re-texture, the A-10C may be the ugliest most beautiful aircraft in DCS. I am highly anticipating this mod release. Hope it comes soon! -
And yes I do. I see one side that looks like normal DCS (left side) and then the other side looks tweaked (right side).

The latest crash log (when the game crashed when I hit'Fly') As far as the SMAA option in the options menu in game, I see no SMAA option anywhere. EDIT: I see a MSAA option but no SMAA option.
-
Okay. I've done that, and disabled split screen mode. but once I place an aircraft and hit fly, it crashes. But when this happens, the log.log says nothing but this: [23:20:21] Redirecting CreateDevice : successful (width: 1360, height: 768) [23:20:21] Initializing FXAA (width: 1360, height: 768)... [23:20:22] FXAA enabled Hope you don't mind me asking, but what video card do you have?
-
Okay. So I checked out the log.log file and this is what it says: [23:09:43] Redirecting CreateDevice : successful (width: 1360, height: 768) [23:09:43] Initializing SMAA (width: 1360, height: 768)...
