  1. Recon helicopter will be found and they (enemy) will dispatch interceptor, very difficult to destroy target IR seeker, Ground Attack can do good, but always badly
  2. how to kill SAM IR seeker or SACLOS (eg Strela 10, Roland) ? SEAD Fighter (Su-24, Raven) is not working with this target !
  3. Russia Air Force vs Big 6 EU Air Force (France, UK, German, Italy, Spain, Sweden). I think with the number of Su-27P/SM/SM3/30SM/35S in Russia (270 aircraft in WorldAirForces2013) + Sukhoi quality is also likely to beat Big 6 EUAF, 4 in 6 EUAF powers based on backbone EF-2k with 214 aircraft (as WorldAirForces2013) then with 261 Tornado IDS (version attack aircraft similar A-10, F-15E, F-111 or Su-24, Su-25, JH-7. A2A only limited capacity, and are being replaced by EF2kT3 also by WAF2013, the ADV for purposes A2A was not provided), in the history of the Iraqi MiG-29B Iraq had shot down Tornado IDS (Tornado GR1), enough to show the ability of A2A and it is pretty poor machine allied aircraft shot down many of the first Gulf War. That's not to mention the huge number MiG-29S/29SMT/31BM. Next 135 aircraft Mirage 2000C/5 and Rafale B/C France's air force. Jas-39 155 aircraft sweden's air force, I think this will be a force against the Russian Air Force match Advantages of Russian aircraft, attack large Russia Air Force vs Big 6 EU Air Force (France, UK, German, Italy, Spain, Sweden). 4. How IRIAF F-14 Tomcats could be (effectively) used in combat against Israeli or U.S. planes or drones Mar 16 2012 - 13 Comments A previous article about the theoretical Israeli strike on Iran with the rendering of an F-15I dropping bombs on Tehran got a lot of attention and sparked debate. Someone criticized it for not being enough realistic, even if I had explained that the image had to be taken as such even if contained one (or more) wrong details. It was not supposed to be accurate that’s why I didn’t ask Al Clark, who designed it, to correct some elements of artist freedom. In this article, a new Al’s artwork below gives me the opportunity to write something about one of the most famous aircraft in IRIAF inventory: the F-14 Tomcat. According to “IRIAF 2010“, the book published by Harpia Publishing and written by Tom Cooper, Babak Taghvace and Liam F. Devlin, that I consider one of the most detailed sources about Iran’s Air Force, due to the lack of some spare parts, the fleet of more than 40 Tomcats is roughly divided into “airworthy” and “fully mission capable aircraft”. The first fly without primary weapon systems and/or no AWG-9 radar; the second can perform QRA (Quick Reaction Alert) and air defense missions. These aircraft are based at TFB.8 (Tactical Fighter Base 8) Baba’i near Eshahan, in central Iran. Hence, although IRIAF officials have described the current fleet of F-14s as “completely overhauled” and “improved”, and referred to it a a “new generation of bombers” in the recent past, only a small amount of Tomcats can be used for air defense purposes in spite of the large amount of spare parts that Iran was able to clandestinely collect after the type was retired by the U.S. Navy and the efforts of various domestic companies to produce some specific parts and subsystems. What is the role the Tomcat could play in a hypothetical war against Israel? As already explained in the blog post about the possible long range strike on Iran’s nuclear program, IRIAF interceptors, should play “hide and seek” with the enemy forces: they could hide from the incoming packages and try to achieve some kills during the egress phase. They could be effective by simply disturbing the strike packages to let them “feel” the threat and waste some gas. The Tomcats could somehow be effective against isolated targets, like drones, mainly before or after the first waves of air strikes: even a UAV kill could play a role in the psychological war against Israel. For sure, radar activation would be reduced to a minimum: during the most intense part of the air campaign their AWG-9 radar would be either jammed (although it was domestically modified or locally upgraded to make it more jamming-resistant) or detected as soon as switched on, with the latter hypothesis implying the risk of interception by enemy fighters. Obviously, just in case: before the whole thing starts the planes should be dispersed on one of the several Iranian airbases to prevent them from being destroyed on the ground at TFB.8. http://theaviationist.com/2012/03/16/how-iriaf-f-14-tomcats-could-be-effectively-used-in-combat-against-israeli-or-u-s-planes-or-drones/#.UiydFz9my2o
  5. Oh thank for help :smilewink:
  6. Iran has missiles, the Russian R-27 missiles and surface-to-air Hawk for F-14, I think they probably also add ECM jamming pod for the F-14A F-15I has an advantage in maneuverability (I heard that the model F-15A / C up to 9G), however F-14A will have 50% wins with Phoenix AIM-54A. In Iran-Iraq wars, an F-14 scored while shot down 3 MiG-23 when they are close together. Radar AN/AWG-9 for AIM-54 & F14A's Iran (the status of the Iranian systems is unknown, but it is believed that they are still in service. AN/AWG-9 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) F-14D with AWG-9 (F-14A radar also uses the same type, because it's for Phoenix) Click here to view the original image of 712x554px. AWG-9 Radar So with a range to compete with Zaslo,.AWG-9 radar will be the trump card with the AIM-54. F-15I final answer remains no chance of survival (RCS = 15m2). Because TWS (Track-While-Scan for Phoenix missile targeting of up to 24 targets simultaneously within a 2-bar, 40-deg or 4-bar, 20-deg pattern, which yields a 2-sec scan rate) range of AWG-9 is 90 nm (104 miles; 167 km) with target 5-sq m. Thus we have the formula for calculating the distance from the radar to detect the location and scope of the F-15I: 167 * (15/5) ^ (1/4) = 219 km Information on the ability to detect targets by how many m2 of radar APG-70 (F-15I) is not specific. So we hardly confirm victory in BVR for F-15I and it is just a PESA radar. Thus F-14's Iran will have two wins in BVR and WVR (with F-15I do not have ECM pod and RWR)
  7. Hello comrades Iran, I have a question as we all know. The present time only about possible conflicts between Israel and Iran, so as far as I know, the F-14A is still the backbone of the Iranian army, but old electronic system (which may haveupgraded by Russia), but maneuverability almost Su-27 (ie more than the F-15I) and long-range missiles AIM-54 phoenix.Sure would be a real threat to the F-15I of the Israel ! IAI Phalcon AEW + F-15I and the AIM-120 will also be a threat. But AIM-120 as far as I know the lower range of the phoenix. We are talking about BVR, and Dogfight, depending on the level of the pilot, I do not know F15I the maneuver with specific numbers?
