  1. I did find that dropping the AI traffic down to Low helped a lot. I normally pull > 120FPS so not really an issue for me but I have had a play around with the settings to see what’s what. I have run MSI afterburner in the background recording GPU & VRAM usage while running DCS world and was shocked at how much VRAM the sim was chewing up. I run at 2560 x 1600 on a single screen and with max AA the VRAM usage sits at nearly 3GB solid which is monstrous. If you’re maxing your VRAM then you will get frame drop so worth a check on usage. Im running an I7 3970X @ 4.6Ghz and two GTX Titans. No difference in performance with SLI disabled so it looks like SLI isn’t causing problems. I’ll do some more digging around and post back if I find any “golden” settings that work really well. I would drop the AI traffic down to LOW and disable Windows Aero compatibility (think that’s what it’s called) It’s in the graphics options in game. Is by the tick boxes for things like heat blur over at the right hand side of the screen.
  2. Where are my Swirly bits ? One thing I did notice with the new vapour trails is, as per the pics above they should be nice and long and look “swirly” at the end just like you would get on a real aircraft caused by the vortex that’s produced behind it. But actually (on the A10C at least) they are about this long --------------------------------------------------- and you don’t get the fancy swirly bit at the end. Also engine smoke?? where did that go, or is it coming at a later date ? Vid
  3. For me, updated graphics. I would love a multi-role jet like an F18 but I think the graphics in DCS world are falling behind. It just takes away from the emersion when everything looks….well…the same. As small fly in an otherwise perfect ointment though I love DCS world !!
  4. Very Impressed with the new MI-8 from BST A Job well done with this module that’s for sure. The sound set is fantastic! You Tube start-up of the real thing here
  5. What OS are you running ? With W7 if you hit start and punch in "DCS Update" you'll see the update.exe icon (looks like the DCS world icon) pop up at the top of the start menu. Give that a click and you're done. The update will run as per normal when ED releases a new version.
