  1. S! @BucicYour frametime goes crazy with Vsync on at low altitudes, as seen in your picture above(white line). I have this same issue on my AMD RX9070XT since latest patches, if using IN GAME VSync the frame time goes crazy and stuttery at low altitude with trees etc. You run nVidia and why not try GSync without VSync enabled? Or use adaptive sync as nVidia should support it? At least on AMD side with FreeSync I did not need VSync ON for it to work as intended. For me to get rid of that "hacksaw effect" on frametime was to use advanced sync from Adrenalin software. That way the frametime did decrease, but the "hacksaw effect" was gone. Another issue for me is the green line aka Simulation thread spiking randomly causing a frametime drops accompanied with FPS drops. Frustrating as heck and made me stop flying DCS until finding a solution.
  2. S! One thing noted by some players on DCS Finland is that many stutters go away when disabling power saving on your USB ports and devices. Been away from computer a while so can not verify or test this. But one venue to check.
  3. S! Got the freezing and crashing cured, it was one setting in drivers that had slipped unnoticed. I run EVERYTHING on default/application controlled on my GPU to minimize any conflicts with the game. Still have not found the cure to the "spiking" on FPS and VSync anomaly though. All other games and sims run flawlessly.
  4. S! And this is how the spiking looks like.
  5. S! And last test with AMD Enhanced sync enabled from drivers, no in-game VSync and fps limiter set to 300. It looks like VSync is causing stutter issues with the game, without it the game is smoother but has some tearing.
  6. S! And last image with no VSync whatsoever, fps limiter still at 300fps. Always using same parameters: FW190A-8, Free Flight, The Channel map and fly low over the city at the coast.
  7. S! This with in-game VSync OFF, fps limiter at same 300. VSync ON through GPU drivers.
  8. S! This is how the in-game performance monitor looks when having NO forced VSync from GPU drivers. Only using in-game FPS limiter set to 300fps and DCS own VSync enabled.
  9. S! Was flying on The Channel map a Free Flight mission in the F4U Corsair. After a few minutes game froze and crashed. Files attached. dcs.log-20250710-161212.zip
  10. S! TAA is unusable on AMD cards. While it fixes the shimmering MSAA has, you will see ghosting, missing rendering of objects at certain disatnces, invisble parts on planes etc. Image is also way softer than with MSAA or no AA at all. No driver version has helped with this issue, have reported it as driver bug to AMD many times. Most striking example is how parts of planes are not drawn at all or only partially when a distance away from them. Followed a plane at around 900m and with TAA main wings were either see through or missing altogether. When coming in from a side angle parts of planes also are not drawn correctly, especially rudder etc.
  11. S! Some more data on the spiking. And this behaviour is only in DCS, all other games run rock solid. dcs.log LastMissionTrack.trk
  12. S! Spiking and FPS dips. LOG and Track attached. Nothing helps with them. dcs.log LastMissionTrack.trk
  13. S! Have tried everything found on forums etc. No help. Still spiking accompanied with FPS dip. Also the built in FPS meter shows main thread flashing red at times etc. I have given up and waiting for future patches.
  14. S! Issue not solved Started game and the stuttering and simulation graph spiking was back. Attached logs etc. DxDiag.txt dcs.log LastMissionTrack.trk
  15. S! @BIGNEWY I solved the issue by going Windowed instead of Fullscreen. I do not use MSAA or TAA. Particularly TAA is very problematic on AMD cards as it makes graphics too soft and there are graphical issues on planes, buildings etc. not drawing correctly + ghosting. I can live with a few jaggies and not use AA. As of Game mode and HAGS are both disabled. I do not force any settings thru GPU driver ie. using "Application controlled" for all. BIOS, chipset and GPU drivers are latest WHQL ones.
