  1. Is the AN/ALQ-164 jamming pod on the AV8 operational in the DCS game? If so, what SAM's does it work against, and at what range? I tried it against the SA-6 (the pocket guide said the jammer is effective against the SA 6) and it did not appear to prevent the SAM from guiding on me at any range.
  2. Thank you! Indeed a very cool ending as is the whole mission concept and development. Well done!
  3. Well, regardless, the mission is still fun as is. Now that the rest of the mission appears permanently broken due to the new AI driving responses I'm still interested in knowing what would have happened next on the mission if the AI had performed according to previous editions. I'm guessing the GBU 38's would have been used in some manner.
  4. Hi Ranger, Just finished playing the revised version of the online A10C only mission and experienced the same situation only at a slightly different location. It appeared that the trail AI vehicle got off the road and maybe got stuck with a building in front of it. But I'm just guessing. They both just stopped with apparently more road to travel. I killed the blocking building with guns and the two jeeps moved but only a short distance. No further orders. Also seems to be some glitch in the radio commands. When the ATC menu is called up the selection are in black lettering and there is no response to F1 etc. Also once the menu is called up it stays up until touch down at the alternate airport. The menu stays up despite hitting F12 to exit.
  5. It was getting late and dark outside the cockpit, and I didn't notice a dead end in the road. However, both trucks stopped next to a rather large building. Without further orders and getting no response from the F10 tasking que, I bombed the building and killed the trucks after waiting a reasonable period of time. I'm "happy" to hear you're working on an A10C version of "Happy Bus"! I downloaded the PDF briefing on that mission and was awed by the amount of work and professional touch to the whole enterprise. It would be great if the lone single player, or just a couple of friends could take a ride on that bus. Again, thank you for building such outstanding missions. They are simply awesome!
  6. I attempted "Welcome to Suse" twice so far. I tried the A10C Single Player version and the A10C only multiplayer version. I wish to congratulate you on your outstanding work. It is one of the most immersive gaming experiences I've had so far with DCS. I'm playing with version 1.27 and my missions have all come to a stop when the two terrorist jeeps leave the FOB and park in front of a building in the rural section of town. I presume that the mission is no longer compatible with the newer version of DCS and therefore accept this as a personal mission complete. However, I would like to know what was suppose to happen next? I'm just curious what was the next tasking. Is there a possible fix for this planned in the future. I'm also wondering if it's possible to create a single player version for your other production "Happy Bus"? I was wondering if by substituting AI aircraft for the Client Helo's if the mission would perform as designed for the single A10C player? Thank you for producing such fun missions.
  7. Thanks again for your help. All works as it is suppose to. My problem was incorrect radio settings. I failed to have my radio switches in the correct position.
  8. I've checked the mapping and it's as it's suppose to be. And I've looked for other conflicts but still no joy. I did have success contacting JTAC in one of the Campaign mission but still no luck with Dragon's training mission. Thank you for your help
  9. I initially only used the backslash key to bring up the menu, but just now did a test using the Lshift plus Num minus to bring up the menu but had no luck with that either. I get a radio menu, and am able to broadcast my request, but I do not receive a reply. For some reason the Lshift + NUM + key doesn't bring up an AM radio menu.
  10. Thank you for your effort. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong because I still did not receive any radio response from JTAC on any of the assigned frequencies for either the day or night missions. I tried all the difficulty levels to test and see if it might work on the other radio frequencies but no joy. Also, there are no responses from the tower regarding taxi and take off clearance. It is possible that I may be missing something here. I'm new to this game and just learning the A10C, but aside from turning on the radios and setting the FM and AM freqs, I don't know what else to do. I would work on this if I had a clue what is required. I've looked into the editor but cannot discern how the radios are set up, or what I need to do to get them operational. Is this a relatively simple fix that you could briefly explain so that I might be more informed when looking at the editior? Thank you, and sorry it didn't work for me despite your efforts.
  11. DRAGONs_JTAC_Training_v40.miz DRAGONs_JTAC_Training_Night_v40.miz Thank you for your kind offer to fix these. I looked at them in the editor but don't have the know how of what is needed to fix them. Thanks again!
  12. I just tried the JTAC training mission and also don't get any response from the ground control on any of the channels. I have the latest version of DCS. Please tell me how I can fix this in the editor in order to get this mission to work Thank you..
  13. Yes Sven, I was aware of the F10 function but I only ordered them ONCE and perhaps that is the problem. Also, I was playing it on DCS version 1.2.6 which may also be a problem. Because the strike packages just orbited, and didn't move on toward their target my cpu experienced a slow down when I got near the large orbiting group of bombers. Other than that, it seemed pretty stable considering how much action is going on. The "KILLED a building" notification was not an error per say, it was the normal kill notification one gets when one destroys a plane, only instead of stating what was destroyed, it says 'building". Yes, we do on occasion fly the helo's, but for now we've been learning the FC3 aircraft Thanks again
  14. Wombat and I had a go with this on his server flying first F15's and then Su-27's Great fun with a lot of air to air action. The only issue I had with it was when I shot down a plane, the script said I "killed a building". And when flying the Su-27 and tasked with ordering the Carrier strike, the Su34's didn't appear to know where the carrier was located. They appeared to be heading for targets on the coast instead of out to sea. Thank you for making a fun mission!
  15. Thank you.
  16. Is there a way to change the color of the script in mulitplayer chat? I find that the blue color difficult to read on a black background. And the red isn't much better.
  17. OK, thanks for your help
  18. Mine does. Here is a quote from the mission tasking: "Two flights of Su-25 have been tasked to destroy the Georgian artillery and MRL units that are pounding Tkvarcheli. You will provide top cover and defend them against any American response." Is there some method to override the mission complete requirement in order to move on to the next mission?
  19. Just flew the third mission and for some reason the Su-25's just orbit the redbull's eye and don't proceed with the attack portion of the mission. The F-16's have been shot down but the attack planes don't attack. I can't get a mission complete. Can anyone tell me how to move on to the next mission?
  20. Yes, it's the startup airfield in the online server
  21. I've been at both a FARP and Airfield All my other planes refuel and rearm OK. I added the "English" cockpit MOD and thought that may have been a problem, but when I went back to the Russian one, I still had problems.
  22. My Mi8 won't refuel or rearm. I get the crew chief to acknowledge request both online and off, but nothing happens. Every Mi8 I tried to fly online seems to be out of gas. Does anyone else have this problem, or can anyone offer suggestions to fix it?
  23. Thank you. I tried looking for the NVG on the rearm and refuel menu but never thought to look into the COMMS menu!
  24. I don't fully understand how night vision is implemented in this sim. On some missions I get night vision simply using the helmet mounted sight. But on some I don't get night vision when I use the HMS, I just end up with the yellow reticule and a dark night and no night vision. On some mission briefings I recall reading a note to ask for night vision goggles before the fight. What's that about, and how is that done? I've search the forum and have only come up with the statement that NVG is automatic with the HMS, but I haven't had that experience on all night missions. Can someone please tell me how NVG works in this sim, and how to get it work at will?
