  1. Sorry, I have not expressed correctly in my first post. Sometimes the doors are removed because they need free way in order the soldiers or parachutists to jump off the aircraft (like the video I posted), but sometimes they are removed for weight reasons. Here is a better example about it: Allright then, I ignored this
  2. I mean those "boobies" right in front of the engine intakes: So it would look like this: Yea, but intake filters and rear cargo doors canot be configured :D
  3. Hi there. Last night I was wondering... it would be great to be able to remove the rear clamshell doors from Mi-8 since they are somewhat heavy and usually are removed. A quick example: I don't know the actual weight of both doors to be correctly simulated but I'm sure i'll know soon, if you don't before :D Sling load simulation would be also great, and you guys did a great job on the Huey so I believe it should not be so difficult to simulate on Mi-8. Also, would be really appreciated if the powerplant intake filters could also be uninstalled
  4. I don't think it's because the objects amount. I set them at minimum so most of the trees and buildings are not drawn. However I experience low FPS while ground is displayed (without objects). Just a quick test. You can check the graphic parameters by enlarging this full-res screenshots. FPS: 16 FPS: 29 Not a little difference I guess...
  5. Hi all. I've noticed that DCS runs pretty slower when it displays ground. When it displays mainly sky the FPS greatly increase. I remember on IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 it was possible to modify almost every aspect of the simulator with more range of options than those of the graphic settings menu with the config.ini file. It is possible to lower the terrain settings in DCS World that way? Greetings :smilewink:
  6. So... I've discovered what causes the tail rotor pitch not to be displayed. Since I have a somewhat old computer I configured some graphical settings to low values, like visibility range. After doing some tests I noticed that this setting set to medium or high makes the external model of the Huey to look different from that of the low setting value. You can notice the door bullet hole, the thermometer and some gray grating on the top of the engine to appear and dissapear as shown here: And the most important, finally I got an animated tail rotor pitch :D So, visibility range setting is affecting the external model of the aircraft, when it is supposed to only change how far out the buildings and other scenery stuff start popping up... I also would notice a new bug I discovered. The collective throttle twist grip of the Huey moves correctly but does not makes its funcion properly. As I increase the throttle from minimum to full, the engine power does not increase until the twist grip reaches the limit. When twisting it to minium power, the engine starts decreasing power inmediately as the twist grip is moved to the right. Also, the inability to remove the copilot from the cockpit is also an error reported by many DCS-friends since it limits visiblility to the left side. I think you guys should take care of this...
  7. Sure, and I cannot see the pitch changing all the ways...
  8. Oh really, I see. Thanks for the pics! Then, why my Huey hasn't got animated tail rotor pitch? From external view as I apply left and right pedal I can see them moving, but not the pitch of the blades...
  9. Could you show o screenshots?
  10. After tons of hours flying the Black Shark I decided to spend money for one of my favourite helicopters, the Huey. Well spent money, really like it, but DCS UH-1H Huey still has some easy-to-solve errors that I am not liking: First is the tail rotor pitch, wich is not animated whereas the product page says: Tail rotor pitch is animated and correctly translates anti-torque pedal input to the tail rotor. Secondly, the cockpit vibration, not implemented. The two bladed rotor of the huey makes it a trully flying earthquake, and I dont feel any vibration in the cockpit. Maybe there's an option like that of DCS Black Shark (first version) where pressing left shift + J enables cockpit vibration, but it seems it doesnt, or at least I don't know the assignment. Please try to add some vibration effect in the cockpit if not done yet. Is there any way to fly without copilot using the mission editor? If there isn't, it would be great to do so. Also, when breaking the tail rotor the chopper spins too slow! If you correct this, one of the greatest rotorcraft simulators will be yet so much better! :) I am the owner of a spanish helicopter blog. Let me spam the simulation article  http://helitrastorno.blogspot.com.es/2012/03/simulacion.html Greetings!
  11. Thats what i'm wondering  But I dont know from which version is just available for 64 bit OS.
  12. Well... LOL Any chance to download and install a 32 bit version?
  13. Affirm
  14. I deleted that file when reinstalling for so many times... Sure, i mean i want to fly the free Su-25T in DCS World but it crashes. BS1 works allright.
  15. Hi guys. Just posting here for the first time because my DCS World is crashing since some months ago. I installed for first time one year ago and to June it worked well, but then some 10 of each loading attempts was crashing. As for July or so it crashes always and there is no way to fly the Su25T (I dont have any other module). It crashes on the loading screen just before getting on the runway or whatever, displaying the DCS has stopped working and gets on the launcher again, then it says that "the mission debriefing file can not be open". By the way sometimes then also crashes the launcher... I have installed just DCS BS1 and no other module. I've read other topics with this or similar problems and i tried everything... Reinstalling both DCSW and BS, disconnecting hardware and reinstalling drivers, deleting DCS registry entries and saved files for so many times and still crashing... What else should I try?
