  1. Yea just tested it a few posts ago.....also just ran a SA-15 test with zero changes as well with jammer on/off. TTR locked me up at 11.2 NM and missile launch 5.0 NM whether it was on or not, and also ran again employing maneuvers and CM with no effect.

  3. I just ran a test against an SA-8, two runs one with jammer on (SAM Mode 1) and one off. All parameters exactly the same otherwise. Got RWR Acquisition Radar indications at 13.3 NM, Target Tracking Radar indications at 10.6 NM, and missile launch at 4.2 NM. Both exactly the same whether the jammer was on or not.
  4. I don't believe there are any difference in game, and not sure you will find much for unclassified information on the real differences.
  5. I started playing on game mode and slowly incorporated avionics into it, learning on thing at a time. You can still use a good amount of the sim avionics in game mode if you choose to which allows you to learn the tough stuff while still in the forgiving easy mode with "tab targeting" and symbols for where AAA and SAMs are. This board and youtube vids are my goto, the DCS tutorials are horrible.
  6. Did you make sure it was selected in the DSMS? I know it sounds like a gimme but this has happened to me before. Everything works as it appears it should, get a lock, fire....nothing. **** I forgot to select it!
  7. Def not killing my own guys, I input the coords the jtac gives me in the cdu and easily ID the T-80's in the mission. Problem is my friendlies disappear from the F10 menu by the time I clear the first JTAC run.
  8. These units I am supposed to have take objectives always say awaiting orders but before I even get to the target. I figured I should not tell them to move until I clear the tanks out right? Once I take out my targets I go to "other" in the radio menu to get them to move to the obj but the selection is no longer there. So am I even completing these missions if I don't give them the order to move? Also an additional question....do I have to RTB and land to complete a mission? Or can I hit quit in midair? I like it sometimes but other times I rather just move on to the next mission than fly back to base.

  12. I was about to give up on the campaign forever until I tried these. Worked! Thank you! EDIT: Got further in and right back to slideshow again....worked for a bit anyway. Really pissed off how unplayable this is.
  13. Okay, I see the problem now....I am in fact going from 37T to 38T, my targets are in 38T but my system is still set to 37T. Found this link here on how to accomplish the change in the CDU for anyone else who has this problem http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=83178 I searched forever but found this immediately once I knew what to look for lol. Thanks for the help!
  14. I know about grid zone designators, but that's weird because I can see KM on that map but I don't have it on mine. This is the Georgian Hammer with CA campaign, if that matters.
  15. I'm a nub but I have never had to put those in before....and looking at the campaign map I don't even see a KM killbox lol.
  16. On about the 10th mission or so, have offensive CAS and two objectives, one to east the other to west. I have 2 JTACS, one east and one west, I assume to match the OBJs. I started west and killed a bunch of stuff then was cleared off so I contacted the east JTAC to help out there. This dude wanted me to engage 300 some NM away and it was a TIC as well. Is this a bug, is there some other front line I don't know about? Or am I doing something wrong? lol. I know how to input coords in the cdu and slue the pod, etc. Checked and rechecked the coords, they were some KM kill box when typically everything has been GG. Any clue?
  17. Sorry but I think I will stick to enjoying the realism in sim mode in flight and combat without having to flick switches for 5 minutes on the ground first. But rock on bro. :thumbup: Thanks for the support to the rest of you, took me a long time to sit down with this sim but lovin every minute of it.....after autostart.
  18. JDAM's are not the most accurate weapons in the world, not guaranteed to hit. I would only bother with them in bad weather or when you need a more stand-offish PGM than a Paveway.....but you need lots of speed and altitude for that. I don't recall any of my pilots lasing JDAMS in other than 54's. I would also add depending on your angle of attack you can get spillover from the laser due to beam divergence. Not sure if the game simulates that though.
  19. Well it appears the slider on my X52 was set as the throttle in sim mode and it was set forward, apparently the throttle must be at 0% to continue past the APU Gen/APU Off stage in startup lol. All is well now.....
  20. I switched to sim avionics mode, learning the sim better and wanting to take the training wheels off. The campaign in DCS World always makes me start parked on ramp and having to go through the entire startup procedure, (any way around this?) I have been using autostart prior to this and it was working, it was only when I switched avionics to sim in options that this started being an issue. So at this step when the master caution light comes on and typically goes right back off, it now stays on and everything shuts down....but the procedure continues as if everything is normal. I searched far and wide but no luck. I have restarted the game and reconfigured the settings but nothing is working. Also when it was in game mode avionics the left windows key plus home started, now it is right win+home, which was wierd. Any clue?
