    FYI, VoiceAttack places the cursor over the SP then Left Clicks to acquire SP focus.

    As noted in the last paragraph of the ReadMe, you can relocate your SP window to line up with the cursor position rendered by the SCRATCHPAD, FOCUS SCRATCHPAD, CLEAR SCRATCHPAD commands. That would be Center Screen with the default setting for the profile. Alternatively, you can edit those 3 commands so that the cursor finds the SP at your preferred location.

    Hi,

     

    I'm using Chic's profile with Occulus rift. I'm struggling to get the cursor to focus on the pad. The cursor appears in the centre of the screen and I can manually move it sometimes but not very often. I have my scratch pad top left, how would I make my cursor appear there?

    After 5 min of looking it turns out it's all very simple, but I'll leave this here in case anyone's looking.

     

    Run DCS and jump in cockpit and open scratch pad. (do this out of VR)

     

    In VAttack open profile, edit scratch pad focus.

    Enter new mouse position using the Mouse Tab to the left, click application window coordinates button and set position (top right), Press F8 and save.

     

    All simple.

    I'm setting up an Obutto cockpit with a 55inch 4k OLED TV. Can I still use this device to activate switches, or does it need a HMD for the sensor mount?

     

    As long as you can work out a means to rigidly mount the Sensor above your head, PtCtrl is currently work nicely in 2D (on my 65” 4K).

    Updated 2.5.6 version for latest OB!

    Not tested yet though, but it was small changes so unless something like cargo view have been removed completely without possibility to enable it again, or something similar, this MOD should still work as intended.

    No joy reverting them to default, unfortunately. R CTRL+numpad 0 sticks the view bound to LWIN + numpad 0 now, pressing any other snapview beyond that is only momentary.

     

    I’ve had same issue for years now. Worked around it with VoiceAttack which holds momentary snap till i release it with another command.

     

    If you want to try that route, let me know and I’ll give you my profile. There are some tricks to it.

    Hi, I used to delete most of the sling loading voice assist files to prevent aneurysms, but I can't seem to find the .wavs anymore to delete them. Does anyone know where the sound files are hiding?

     

     

    Same problem here.

    I did find C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Scripts\Speech\common_events (lines 718-767).

    Not the .wav files but might be modifiable to selectively cancel out the voice assists. I haven't had a chance to play around with it yet. Let me know.

    making your fellow crewmen scream is not a good idea.

    it means you are doing stuff wrong.

    try learning to not scare them :)

     

    you can achieve everything without hearing him shout once.

     

    even quick drop offs under fire.

     

    just take the voice as another cockpit warning sound. and avoid the conditions that set it off.

     

    if you are entering VRS often enough that you need to delete the sound then you need to change your entire approach. because its dangerous and wrong. even if it works in the game.

    its a bad habit. and bad habits always kill you in the end.

     

    That’s the point. Take care, use your instruments, and situational clues to avoid VRS and don’t depend on an audible clue that often times will not be available anyways.

    Same problem for me - the screen in the middle doesn't show anything.

     

    I know I also had a mod for the cockpit (russian colors) but I'm not sure if it was Ricardo's or not. However, it seems like it was not installed with OvgME. So where are the folder locations to check for remnants? I checked the obvious stuff like saved games\mods\aircraft and dcs\mods\aircraft\ but there were no old files.

     

    Advice given by sora 061 in post 4 solves the problem.

    It appears to be a VAICOM issue. When it starts up it replaces/modifies files in your DCS installation. Some of the file structure has changed in 2.5.6 and some of the files VAICOM modifies were moved. As others have said, don't run VAICOM with 2.5.6 and it will launch normally. Of course, that means no more voice until it's fixed. The VAICOM folks are aware and looking into it.

    Yeah repair helps unless you use VoiceAttack. If you run Voice Attack again when starting up DCS, it will hang again at 10%. And you need to do a repair again to fix it.

     

     

    I want run DCS with VoiceAttack again.

     

    ED, please fix this!

     

    Need to clarify if this is a VA or VAICOM issue. Or both.
