The key here is "advanced comms", which likely works fine. Try with "easy comms".

A good JTAC tutorial video;

Firstly, you may want to try the game out in sim mode.. It only gets better that way, and it's not that much more complicated than game mode. That way others might be able to help you out, as most of us see "game mode" as a form of sacriledge. Secondly, try checking out the Wiki for tutorial info; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=75982

The Rockwell ov-10 Bronco CAS Aircraft please.

Short answer is; No, there isn't a Campaign tutorial/walkthrough. The reason for this is that the campaign itself is semi-dynamic in that the missions are linked together based on your performance. http://www.giantbomb.com/digital-combat-simulator-a-10c-warthog/3030-31895/ My advice is to learn what you can from the tutorial missions in game, then learn about jtac & creating nav points from the wiki, then jump in and give the campaign a go, refer back to the tutorials and the wiki when specific hurdles arrise, and if you get realy stuck with something in particular, chime in on the forum and ask.

Might be something on that here; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=75982

You know when it's time to take a break from DCS A10-C when..

When you start altering the structural integrity of your computer niche with after-market spares from Fairchild, Rockwell, and NG . When your xmass letter to santa reads "Dear SATL Claus, for Dizzmass this year I'd like to requisition..." -
Here is a thread I found on MANPAD; http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=72813 I think your on the right track with the CM programs. Not sure Id call it cheating to go high altitude though, It seems to be the done thing as far as how the AI likes to attack with it's GBU's. EDIT; NOE flight is usually performed by aircraft with either the ability to stop dead (attack helicopters, etc ) or go really really fast (f111, b1b, etc) using sophisticated terrain following radar. Because of the relative slow speed of the a10 and the lack of VTOL, your most likely going to get shot dead by a farmer with an antique rifle (like Lieutenant Morgan "Morg" McPhearson did in "Flight of the Intruder").

Your going to need the premiere CAS aircraft of the era.. the Rockwell OV-10 Bronco . http://www.volanteaircraft.com/ov-10.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Rockwell_OV-10_Bronco

Thanks, that narrows things down some, we are using easy comms. -
I thought the comments were quite interesting. Particularly this link http://www.volanteaircraft.com/ov-10.htm , a fascinating story on the development of the ov-10 CAS Aircraft.

What was your learning process for this aircraft?
Drunken_Skull replied to Pajeezy's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I reccommend reading "Stuka Pilot" as mentioned in the a10c manual. Great read and really gives you a "feel" for CAS flying as well as an appreciation of the A10's potential and how it all came about. The following link feels as though it takes off from where Hans Ulrich Rudel leaves off and fills the gap between wwII and sitting in your a10 office. http://www.volanteaircraft.com/ov-10.htm -

Bug Observed in 1.2.8 (beta) Comms in the a10c campaign (using easy comms) appears to be broken Tested in DCS Version 1.2.7 (Stable) ; Could not re-create the error (all comms with jtac and wingman work) Tested in DCS Version 1.2.8 (Beta) ; Error re-created easily. (radio appears to be broken, no response from AI assets). To re-create the fault Using the mission editor; load up "Push - 2-3.miz". Fly mission and attempt to use the radio to communicate with AI assets (wingman, jtac, etc). AI units will fail to respond to commands (fault condition achieved). Temporary Workaround A good temporary solution would be to use the 1.2.7 stable release until the beta is debugged further. Alternatively, txmtb reports being able to get around this bug by not using easy comms in the options menu. Fault Status Flagged under " » Digital Combat Simulator » DCS World » DCS Open Beta 1.2.8 Test Reports » a10c Radio broken in Campaign » " ( http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2046973#post2046973 ) __________________ -
