  1. I am interested in finding out whether there are any pilots out there that still uses the Rhino X-55 Hotas. The reason I ask is that DCS World does not recognised my Rhino X-55 Hotas and I cannot afford to upgrade to the logitech X-56. I am currently working through the issue with support, but I am not having much luck. Windows 10 recognises its and I can test the it out ok. Any assistance will be much appreciated.
  2. Thanks BIGNEWY I have lodged a ticket with support. Hopefully they can come up with a solution other than uninstalling it and reinstalling it.
  3. Over the last couple of days, I have been trying to update DCS on Steam. I have set DCS World SE updates as high priority. It seems to continue validating and seems to not complete this stage. I get not network activity whatsoever and only disk usage data. Other game updates go through normally. However I have been waiting over 3 hours for the update to finish validating. I have done a file integrity check and that seems to complete very quickly and comes back as ok. For some unknown reason I cannot find the game logs on my computer, not sure why. I am just hoping I do not have to uninstall it and reinstall it again. I have been through steam support, that it only comes back to contact third party support. I tried to lodge a support ticket but it requires a screen shot of any errors and log file, which I cannot find on my computer. Can anyone suggest what What the issue would be. CPU: AMD Ryzen 2 2200G with Radeon Vega Graphics 3.y GHz RAM 8GB DDR 4 GPU: Geforce GTX 760 with 2 GB Video Ram Internal Harddrive: 1 1TB and 1 2TB Ext Drive 1 x 2 TB and 1x2.5GB I believe I need 16 GB Rams but only having 8GB ram should not affect the update for DCS World. Operating System is Windows 10 Pro Version 1903 OS Build 18362.356
  4. HI guy, Just had a look at the specificiation for the DLC for the F/A - 18c Hornet. Just need to find out whether my Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 graphics card will allow me to fly the Hornett. At this stage funding resources prevent me from upgrading my graphics card and I would love to fly the Hornet, in DCS World. Trevor
  5. I had an 28.3 GB update of DCS world openalpha, to version 2.2.0. steam version Are the campaigns in steam compatible with Version 2.2.O as I have purchased 3 campaigns prior to the update, and cannot access them in DCS World version 2.2.O Can someone advise me on this please. Campaign I have are: SU-27 The ultimate Argument Compaign A-10C The enemy Within Campaign Black Shark 2 Republican Campaign. Trevor
  6. I dont think dcs world allows default profile. Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk
  7. I have been doing a test mission, so that I can properly adjust my joystick settings, I had set up a briefing, and set objective, however when testing the mission the objectives dont show up on the briefing screen. I am using DCS World 1.5.1 (openBeta). Can anyone advise me on how to get the objective displayed on mission briefing pls.
  8. BigBadVuk, have you tried reinstalling the driver. Are you setting it up via the DCS World or via the HUD software. if you are setting it up through DCS World make sure that you have cleared your HUD profiles, just to make sure that it non of the profiles interferring with DCS World. In your task bar there should be an icon that allows you to select your x55 profiles, if it is green, then you need to right click it and select clear, to turn HUD profiles off and see if that help.
  9. I am just wondering whether or not this will be released on Steam. I am using the DCS World 1.5 (openbeta) in steam, and would love to get this DLC, or will I have to wait until the official release of DCS World 1.5.
  10. DaveRindner are you really having so much trouble with the X-55 Rhino. I have arthritis in my wrists and I am not having as much issues with that. Are you playing DCS World or the DCS World 1.5 beta. You can set the HAT to be 8 ways, but you will need to program it in the HUD software that comes with Saitek. Just need to remember that what is programmed in the HUD needs to be cleared in DCS World. I dont really think its overpriced compared to other similar brands which are a deal more expensive some are twice the cost. But I find it an ok, system for someone on a low budget. I will admit there are some design flaws, but generally I find it ok. The Warthog I find too expensive, especially for a weekend flyer. but I would advise that in the end you program the HOTAS to your physical abilities. In my opinion HOTAS systems are not designed for small hands, and I havent seen one that is build specifically for small hand, and as far as I am aware that the systems are designed from actual cockpit design, but with some modifications, so they are able to be programmed for different aircraft. If would cost alot of money to buy HOTAS systems for each aircraft you fly. F15C controls are different to the SU-27 controls, and it would cost well over $1000 to design a HOTAS system that can be interchangeable to match the type of aircraft flown in DCS World. Just one last issue, never have too high an expectation on gaming devices, because you will end up being disappointed if they dont match up to your expectation. Same they dont have a try before you buy system or get suppliers to set up these systems so that you can try them before ordering them. You will find that people will find fault with everything if there expectations are too high. Unless you are willing to pay thousands of dollars, you will never find a gaming device that will totally satisfy you, as developer with design a similator that wont be suitable for your gaming device, and they you will become unsatisfied with the device because you cannot play the new simulator. Just some things to think about before your frustrations take control.
  11. I havent had any issue with programming the X-55 Rhino, except when disconnecting them, from the usb hub. I have found that if you have Windows 10, then reinstalling the driver helps sometimes. And I agree with PowerShot-X, use a powered USB hub otherwise it wont work properly.
  12. Information only: The rotary switch are actually recognised by DCS World, only in the axis control menu in setup. So what this means is that the developer need to put more commands in the axis control for those who are rotary switches otherwise you will need to use the profiler software. I managed to get the black shark working now I have to work on not blowing up my engines.
  13. Thanks for your reply, I am using the ingame bindings, and Rudders are set to the rudder pedals, Rolls and pitch are set to the joystick and the collective is set to the throttle. giei, I think saitek have been focusing on their star citizen hotas system more than anything else, maybe that is why the new drivers havent come out yet. I have found that flying the planes alot smoother since Windows 10 came out, The black shark is the only issue I have had at present.
  14. I had a look and the diff.lua file, for both the X-55 Throttle and stick, and notice that for some unknown reason the controls come mixed, as some controls for the throttle appear in both the Throttle and Stick diff.lua files. So I think it could be a issue with DCS, save profile function on Black Shark 2 Sim profile. So confusing on how they were mixed, when each profile was save separately. And idea on how to fix it or should I put a ticket in.
