    Hello dear pilots!

Our team is working hard on a new project, but since all restrictions have already been lifted, we have in development:

    • RamatDavidAirbase
    • TabukAirport
    • MezzehAirport
    • DamascusInternationalAirport
    • RaficHaririInternationalAirport

We are also discussing and making a scenario for the Israeli-Arab war campaign. It will be free (we haven't done it yet, and we will discuss it with the ED team)

PS: We are also making all military bases of Egypt and Israel (including the Golan Heights), we plan to mark them on the map in ME

Now yes! Now the fun will get serious! I loved the news! Thank you for this great news! May Sinai be one of the best maps of DCS! I bought the Sinai map just because of Israel and now I am very happy with this news.

  2.   It seems like everything is going to work out. I'm happy with this news!

  3. I've been closely following the development and announcements of improvements to all the maps and I noticed that the Syria map is getting a lot of airports in Israel. Simply put, it's being expanded. There was even a disagreement in the past about removing part of Israel. I even wrote something before the topic was locked. You can see it below and don't get me wrong this is very good for everyone! I'm glad this is happening.

The point of the thread is that I would love to make a request to OnReTech. I would love to see all of Israel made and parts of Jordan, Syria and Lebanon included in the development. I don't mean all of Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, but a part of the beginning of the country. If the Sinai map is not taken care of, it will attract few buyers. I want the Sinai map to grow every day and become something on the same level as Syria. Don't take this personally. I want only the best from OnReTech and its developers.

Of course I can't help but say that I appreciate the great improvements the map has received! Thank you!

    Sweet!

I‘m more concerned with inside cockpit sounds though. They were showcased very briefly only unfortunately. But definitely a welcomed improvement. I‘m excited for the full package.

    New sound (sample) for OH-58D:

Echo 19 Audio Production just posted an update on the Polychop Simulation's DCS: OH-58D Kiowa Warrior audio overhaul they have been working at. Check it out!

    Echo 19:

Over the last few months, we've been slowly working on re-tooling the audio for the amazing Kiowa by Polychop. The dev team has been super supportive of our requests. It has made developing the new sounds a lot easier than anticipated. This new audio package for the Kiowa features new rotor, turbine, tail-rotor, blade slap, and even some new weapon sounds for the M3P. Countless additions include new switches, buttons, and even some new tail-rotor linkage sounds as you move the pedals back and forth.
These new sounds would not have been possible without our friends at 45 North Aviation in Traverse City, Michigan, where I recorded their absolutely stunning Bell 407GXP with industry-leading microphones and recording equipment. We even went for a small flight, to get a feel for how a real OH-58D/Bell 407 feels (and sounds) in the skies. A massive thank you to the 45 North crew!
Another massive thank you belongs to the Polychop team themselves, for trusting our skills and abilities to not only record, but to help integrate these audio changes in the simulator. We love how passionate their team is for creating amazing products, and it shows!
I've attached a short video so you can hear the new improvements that we are wrapping up!

    Hello! 🙂

I have a question about this:

because there is no information in the newsletters. Theoretically 3 months have passed - July, August and September, so there should be another Region for the whole map. Is there any news if it will be in the October patch?

I have this doubt too! Another thing. ED should not release the Iraq map until Afghanistan is 99% finished. The right thing to do would be to focus on just one map and when it is finished, release another. If the Iraq map comes out this year, I will wait until the Afghanistan map is finished to buy the Iraq map.

Seems like you would be happier building scale models instead playing this game.

It's true! I fly admiring the 3D details and textures when I'm not in combat. I've gone back to flying the Mi24 because of this and have put the Kiowa aside until further updates. I hope the Kiowa gets the same love that the Mi24, Ka50v3, Apache and Chinook have received. Polychop is capable of making a 3D model and textures on par with modern modules, but only time will tell if that will happen.

  7. I hope that the Polychop team will add this level of detail when redoing the 3D and textures of the Kiowa. It would be fantastic to see something at this level! Currently only the Apache and the Ka-50 v3 have this, I think. I really like the Kiowa and I want to see it at this level of detail. I'm sure that Polychop is capable of doing something at this level, even with their small team.

Sound. I built my own seat shaker and fly with tunes cranked. I don’t fly in servers that allow external views. Sounds are fine.

3D. Cockpit looks fine to me.

    Textures. Its VR

Physics. I don’t recall anything in these 22 pages except something about full fuel and 4 boomsticks. Overgross doesn’t mean always impossible. It means always bad idea but you might get away with it. Been there, done that.

Seems to fly like a helo and the acknowledged SME gave it a thumbs up.

I did have a wild incident switching off the AI Pilot while he was following the route that resulted in a snap roll. Definitely ranked in the impossible category so there is that.

I'm glad you liked it! Have a good flight!!!

This wonderful thread inspired me to spend the money and take the plunge on the Kiowa.

I am not much of a rotorhead, preferring PvP WVR above all.

I do own the Huey and Hip but rarely fly them.

After 6 hours in the Kiowa, I will say it’s excellent.

I fly in VR so I don’t give a 💩 about eye candy especially crew faces.

Flying is fun. The potential for teamwork with this machine is exciting and the AI pilot is completely competent, terse and mature. I wish I could transition the guy to fixed wing.

Only bugginess I noticed is long distance MMS video is sometimes blanked in portions.

Money well spent, in my opinion.

I didn't see anyone saying that it's boring, but rather talking about the problems with sound, 3D, textures and physics. For those who fly in VR, graphics don't matter because most of the VR community flies with reduced graphics to have high FPS rates.

For production quality, another topic is audio:

    whispermode.jpg

Echo 19 just announced they started working on a real Bell 407 for audio recordings. Where i get question marks floating over my head is how this will end up. Do we need to install a mod to get those (obviously) better sounds? Or will they be integrated in the module? For DCS modules, developers usually already provide the whole finished audio production on release. The effort for sound production was made during production phase, not after release. And it's logically included in the price i've paid.

I've never seen the Echo 19 product, but I'm sure it should be integrated into the module in a future update.

I am impressed with the huge difference in a texture done correctly.

I think there might be a bit too much power or lift that is enabling much greater performance than possible. At certain conditions we might be able to do 100% and 4xAGM-114, but that's an incredibly limited envelope. I can get the aircraft to hover IGE at a gross weight of about 6200lbs from an altitude of ~7200lbs at FAT +4C. That exceeds even the 407's capabilities in the same conditions. On the other hand, bump up the FAT to +30C and you'll rapidly run into a wall with 100% + 4xAGM-114, settling in at about 3ft AGL. So some curves probably need to be tweaked in the parameters, if they haven't already and we're just waiting for an update.

Better to just cut gas in half because 4xAGM-114 was/is a valid loadout. It wasn't widely used for a variety of reasons, like not enough M272s available or Apaches were around to handle that heavy tasking, but it was certainly possible to do and was an authorized config. The M296 with a full load of ammo was heavier than a pair of 114s, so you could be overweight with 100% + 296 and 2xAGM-114. The M3 gets close but is a couple pounds lighter.

Thanks for the most accurate information! I loved your Nick. Very creative! 🤣
