  1. Also, I must say, this is one of the best parts of communities in sim games, between ARMA and DCS if you have a question that you can't answer by searching google you can just pop on the forums and viola people are happy to help, and don't treat you like you must be clueless to ask. There's a lot of communities where that doesn't happen, I always try to figure things out for myself, but it's nice to know that you can always pop on and just ask. So thank you again for all the help.
  2. Aha, well I tried it with the HEMTT on the airfield and it works with canopy open or closed. Thanks guys!
  3. I'll try adding in a HEMMT Truck though, I was just doing quick missions at the time, so maybe it didn't spawn them in. The airfield is set to blue though, and I usually play on blue anyways.
  4. I tried with the canopy open and closed, by default when you spawn in it is open. So I keep trying but for the time being it seems I'm stuck with starting from the runway. The ground crew is not black on the list, I've even tried powering up my radio with the battery but literally the videos I've watched it was the very first thing they did. So something is off.
  5. I just got the F-86 Sabre expansion, and the first step of startup is to radio the ground crew to turn on the Ground Electric Power, I do so, and my character requests it, and then nothing happens. I've watched a few videos and they reply within ten seconds or so, but for me the ground crew never replies. I tried verifying my local content which found some files that it replaced and tried again with no luck. So at this point I really don't know what to do. Any suggestions? It's similar to when I got the P-51D and it wouldn't start but I fixed that by verifying the files. -JL
  6. I can turn it on no problem but it doesn't turn off. I tried changing the supercharger to low which doesn't do much. So to regulate it I keep the throttle so the pressure is normal, but can't seem to turn it off.
  7. After realizing that the four rotaries on the X55 Rhino HOTAS worked as Axis Commands to Dim/Brighten Lights on the P-51D and TF-51D I'd like to see those added to the other simulation craft. Namely the A-10C, UH-1H, and KA-50 since I use those three the most, but it would also be nice for other aircraft as well when I use them. It lets me adjust lighting quickly while in flight, especially in operations that start in the evening or early morning where at one point you may not need them at all, and another you may need them turned up quite a bit. I figure it's probably fairly simple since the scripting is already there on other aircraft, and would let me use them as actual rotaries instead of programming them for 0% 33% 66% and 100% individually to different keys that have to match in the game. I know it's not a huge deal, but it's a nice touch, and allows more utilization of what the X55 and similar controls have to offer. Keep up the amazing work, every new aircraft adds to the depth of the game, and brings in new people who want to experience perhaps the most advanced combat simulator running, in my opinion.:joystick: Thanks a bunch! -JL
  8. Also is the download link down for good lol? Edit, found another mirror that works.
  9. Is it possible to make the radio menu have a box around the text? Also, is it possible to at least make the fonts different colors for each F key to make it easier to distinguish in a hurry?
  10. I wish they had this one, it was very limited, but they also flew these out of Bradley Airbase. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:A-10As_118th_TFS_CT_ANG_in_flight_1979.JPEG
  11. I grew up near Bradley Airport in CT, I grew up around those A-10s because the my father was a Marine in Vietnam, after which he joined the Guard and was in vehicle maintenance. The airbase is across the street, we used to go over there all the time when I was little, it was pre 9-11 so security was a joke at the time, he used to let me sit in the cockpit as long as I didn't play with buttons. The pilots there were awesome, they took us for a ride in the Huey's a few times when they did practice flights. It was a really awesome time, so I love that I can use the same markings and paint that they used on those A-10s. I think the best part was for my father tbh, he had a love hate relationship with the Huey, he loved to hear the thump thump thump of them flying over, but after being in 3 crash landings in Vietnam, was not all that keen on being inside them, but at the same time, I think the memories good and bad kind of outweighed the fact of crash landing in them. After 9-11 they were much more strict, we were still allowed on base, but they weren't so keen on letting me sit in the A-10s anymore. But then again, the air museum around the corner used to let you sit in the decommissioned A-10c they had.
  12. I've had this issue too, I use TrackIR but in the F-15 the mouse tries to move the camera instead of the cursor, and I can't click any buttons, a problem when you can't put out an engine fire while trying to limp back to base. It only happens with certain aircraft and not all the time. I've checked my bindings they all appear to be th same, my keyboard isn't in AZERTY mode, so I'm pretty stumped as to why... Any help would be appreciated. -Jesse
  13. I've been using this profile for the A-10C and it works really well minus the slew control. It seems to have some issues, not sure if it's a mfg defect or what, but sometimes I just use the keyboard for slewing. But I'm wonder if you could make a profile for the Ka-50, I got the basic controls but for some reason the trim controls are the buttons to lock targets and weapon release changes the selected weapon so it's a tad strange. Any help would be appreciated, I was able to use it very well considering how simple locking on is, but would still like to know more about what does what in that chopper.
  14. When I try to do this, after he tells you to set the TAD as the SOI it tells you to press HOTAS DMS Down x3 to change the scale. But that key is actually called HOTAS DMS Aft now, and when you press it does nothing. I also tried the keyboard key of "End" and still had the same issue. So I'm not sure what to do as this is required to continue to mission. I searched high and low for another DMS Down command but there aren't any except the Forward and Aft in the HOTAS section. Oh I am in fact running the x55 Rhino, so I do have it bound the same as it would be on the Warthog stick. Thanks, Jesse
