  1. The problems in DCS are arising out of the inability to get more feedback than the visual when trying to trim out the aircraft. In real life (or with FFB of course) you can, as you just wrote trim away the control forces. This is incidently also the same reason why trying to trim out a modern Airbus (if autotrim has failed) is really annoying - no feedback other than in instrumentation and the ergonomically poor placement of the trim switches doesn't help either. And yeah, you really get used to a good HUD and all the information it brings you - which makes for quite a difference once it is not available.
  2. you might have to manually force a check for updates if you played the game recently
  3. Nah, I am not gone too long (just until after the end of the release window) and I can only take my rather slow laptop anyway...
  4. Well, my money is on it releasing mid January, just in time for me to read about it from my deployment to Africa :( - just like with the Hornet
  5. Nice video, but you really have to be careful with the glidepath. You just kept happily descending even after the command bar hit the top of the instrument. If you want to fly IFR, you have to stay vigilant :joystick:
  6. Add me to the list of people being excited about the Viggen. Always thought it was a beautiful and perfectly interesting aircraft.
  7. Zotac (nVidia) GTX780 OC
