  1. what helps a accurate turnrate, if they have no speed left? If a bandit make a turn, the amraam may turn very well, but it has no speed -> missile gone! PS. can you allocate your opinion with examples from lock on? (maybe tacview file or something else) My conclusion: a missile with a lowered drad index and speed is realy useless!
  2. yeah! the aim-120 in 1.02 is realy better than in 1.12. if you fire both missiles (R-77 and aim-120) you will see the big difference!

  4. - Idea how to fix the aim-120 a little bit - some minutes ago, i fired a missile in lock on 1.02. Maximal speed (fired from f-15, 500 kmh fast, 2000m high) 1.02 - Aim-120: ~ 3330 kmh 1.12 - Aim-120: ~ 3030 kmh ( in 1.02 the amraam is equal to the R-77 ) as you can see: the missile is 300 kmh faster (and burns longer!!) Is there a way to replace the newer '120 with the older one? -> not the shape, i mean the speed(file) etc

  6. that has nothing to do with your shooting skills: you can simply evade all SARH missiles with turning som degrees and launch some chaff.... if you dont belief that, try it ;)
  7. no: 1.12 and 1.12 (a is the same as b, but b version adds coyrightdrivers for vista) PS. missiles fixes are realy needed: ive fired all my R-27EM / ER, but the bandit could evade it simply by turning some degree and launching chaffs ... IFF for F-15: i was shot down 2 times by an friendly eagle today, only because there were all flyable jets on both side... i hope ED will fix this!

  9. if im right, the IFF can tell you if the Mig29 infront of you is a friend or not: The Interrogator in your jet (for example F-15) is sending an encrypted signalі to the mig29 infront of you. The transponder of the mig will send a signal back to your f15. now: - is the signal the right one ---> Mig-29 is friend (here: ukrainian) ==> IFF cue - is the signal not the right one -> Mig-29 is a bandit (here: maybe: russian) ==> none IFF cue would be a funny war, if both sides dont use iff, but same jets ^^ ---- і the cryptographic is loaded into your jet, before you start. but why have russian planes the iff 'cue' (the F), western fighters (f-15) has it not?!? :blink:

  13. im no programmer, but it will be diffucult to add a X (small or big, thats the same problem) in the game, because you have to add something to hud...
  14. i know (i wrote this some posts before). But i thought a sound or something else (external) would be easier than putting a cross in (ingame). if both are possible, i vote for the X too ;)
  15. none new things, first fix the 'old' But missile fixes include the R-27 too (because SARH are realy stupid :doh:) PS. there wont be a Su-27SM, simply because they entered service in russia ~ 2006. But Lock on is in the time of the cold war if i'm right, there is no way to enable it?
  16. :blink: right, there is realy a difference: R-27ER R-27EA please tell me, if im wrong, but: on the picture i can see a Su-35 but not a Su-27 (i know, the '35 is a improved '27). so you cant suggest - if the Flanker E can carry it, the Flanker B can it too on the other hand: if the su-27 is ready to use the 'EA, im not shure if this can realised (because of costs etc.)
  17. question: Is there a programmer who can make an aplication to add IFF for the f-15? for example a short tone or others. it only should tell you, if you are locking an enemy (so its not a cheat) because if there are 2 jets (and both sides have them) there is no way to find out, which one is your mate... would be nice, if someone could programm something...:helpsmilie:
  18. would be nice, but this takes lot of time. ED should fix the most important bugs in lock on, not to remake it. but the shapes are done by modders, watch the new f-15, a-10, f-5 etc :)

  20. something like this can happen. with lots of luck you also can kill hostile missiles (and maybe yours kill the one of you opponent, but is still flying -> so 1 missile can make 2 kills X-D)

F-15 pilots have a big disadvantage with their missiles in lock on :( @ yoda: no, im talking about lock on fc 1.12 o.O how do your missiles accelerate?!? if you have talk about lock on too, its the same. if done 3 or more tests for each missile, always the same conditions and same results
  24. if Su-27 gets R-27EA, the F-15 should get a aim-120-c4 (1999) or aim-120-c5 (2000) none .. A/B/C are faster, have a bigger range and so on.... a real aim-120a would be better than those "aim-120c" in lock on ;)
  25. there wont be a BS for lock on -> its a own game now and: you can fire a R77 earlier, because its flying faster. for example: (all launches at same conditions!) 10 seconds after the launch: the R77 is 7846,4 m away from launchposition the aim-120 is 7119,18 m away 20 seconds: R77: 14176,27m aim-120: 12751,77m 30 seconds: R77: 17784,31m aim-120: 16263,25m Here you can see it: the aim 120 reaches its max. speed of 3035 kmh after 7 seconds the R 77 reaches its max. speed of 3321 kmh after 8 seconds you can see it here (i know, the graph is not perfekt because 100% right calculations arent possible) as you can see, the amraam is ;)
