  1. wow, you know lot of things of lock on. - missiles the missiles in lock on are slower than they are in RL. As i can see in your post the missiles are from flanker, but modified for lock on? hmm.. is there a way to change some of those edits? or do you need to rewrite the whole code only for increase missile speed? - Radar But to add an IFF shouldnt be so hard. if locked plane = hostile -> do nothing if locked plane = friendly -> paint a cross on the hud maybe you can take the code of the russian fighters for this (only exchange the F to the cross) the radarmodes of the F-15 arent so important, because you have something for BVR, for close air combats and something for more or less 'stealthattacks' - mod i cant figure what the russian speaking forum think, because i dont understand russian language and the cyrillic script. but im shure they want fixes too. so we need to agree on fixes. the number of modders depends on the things, which are to do, like on every mod ;)

  3. sorry, i wanted to say: if you lock a target, there is no IFF, to see if he is hostile or not. in BVR (TWS, RWS) you have IFF, but if you lock a target not. and this is very stupid first of all in close air combat (right, vertical can, bore). if both sides have same jets, there is no way to find out in a dogfight, if the Su is one of your guys, or the enemy i think this should be fixed very fast (with patch or external aplication)
  4. i think here are enough people who know lots of about jets, missiles and etc. shure, we must decide which things should be fixed, and how it should be done. and: they musn't give the whole code to the modders, no, only the parts they need (for example cloud parts, to fix the cloudbug, i think you know what i mean) and why the cant give it to those authorised programmer? k, it wont be a official patch, but a inofficial is enough... - thats nonrelevant - but not a CAC IFF, like the real F-15C ;) if you find a IFF for close air combat, plz tell me where i (and all others) can find it :P
  5. i wont buy DCS, because i see what happens to lock on: lots of bugs arent fixed and sometimes i think lock on is more a propaganda game than a real simulation (because they forget lots of things, which western jets have, for example IFF -.-). with BS it will happen same as here... Lock on has the potential to be the greatest simulation, but without fixes it wont be great... PS. does anyone know if there is a way for a CAC IFF for the F-15? I know, real F-15 have those... but in lock on there is no way to know if the locked jet is hostile or friendly --> its easy to make a teamkill! for example, is there a way to develop a small external application, which can help you with this? as i said: russion fighters have the "F", F-15 has nothing in lomac... thats right, but you neednt allow all people to midify it, only some selected modders, and i think here are some who understand programming very well. If ED has no time/money for a patch (and this can happen very fast), some authorised programmer can do this as good as ED :) It wont cost them anything, but it would help the pilots and show the commonity, that ED does something for the comsumer and their games ;)
  6. thx fudd! if i can help you, this things should be fixed Missiles (speed, range, seeker etc.) cloud shadows (this could make you crazy -.-) 'jumping' water a REAL IFF for the F-15. If you lock a friend in RL, there is a big cross over the ASE circle ( the cockpitbug in the F-15, its not importantat but should be fixed ) ( the awacs -> i dont want a contactinfo which is more than 200nm away, if i request a declare!!!) maybe the israel python missile (but i think without HMTD, because that is to much to do) the speed of the aircraft should affect the missile speed maybe im the only one, who wants this, but it would be nice if you could fire only one flare i dont know if its possible, but do something against this **** warping! k, additional some things of this list: ( http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=5658 )
  7. you are betatester, so im shure you must know it. i know its a stupid idea, but if we get no patch (and to 99% we wont get one), we could try to make a unofficial one / ask ED to let some people to this. (only for the most important fixes, like the missile, the shadow etc.)

  9. yes, i know that... :smilewink: you can fly with mach 2, this wont affect the missile speed. If you start 10.000m over NN, turn 90 degrees down (vertical) and fire a amraam 10.000m vertical into the ground, it wont reach more than 32xx kmh ;) Please tell, how i can get a aim-120 or r77 to fly with mach 4 :P
  10. one point, which should be fixed is the missile speed. for example the real aim-120's speed is Mach 4, in lock on the max. speed is 3037 kmh, which is less than Mach 2!!!. All versions of the amraam (A/B/C) fly up to mach 4 and not mach 2-. this would increase the range to 75km (aim-120A/B) and ~ 100 km for the C (C-5 has 105km) Same for the R-77: real speed: mach 4 (Lock on speed: 3321kmh) with a range of 90km. I dont know what happend to ED: there are 3 different speed's for those missile: Real speed (more than 2 times faster), in game speed, and the speed in the Encyclopedia ... ----------- (ive done all lock on speed tests from with speed 500kmh and 2000m over NN)
  11. And those fixes will never get into game ... you can be shure... and if there would fixes, none of them would fix the western jets, only the russian products ... i can wager something, ED wont fix anything :( -bm-
  12. a short storry: some time ago, i (f-15) was flying around, as i saw a mig-29s on my radar. ive looked down to see which weapons are left: 4 (of 6) Aim-120, 2x aim-9 and a full gun. Chaff & flares was full at all, so i was shure i would get this mig ... but everything should come else... After i was in a good range to fire, i launched one aim-120. Some seconds later, the mig did a barrel roll and my good amraam was gone, but ive got still 3 amraams and 2 sidewinder left, so it wasn't a problem. I was shure the next would get him, because i was less than 10 nm away so i fired 2 aim-120. 2nd/3rd amraam away and i couldnt imagine what happend: the amraam missed .. but the only thing he did was to turn some degrees away!!! Bloody SH*T, only 1 amramm and 2x aim-9 left. After he passed me ive turned around to get him now! but i was wondering: he didnt turn to me, no, he was running away with supersonic. i was closing up, he used full AB and the sidewinder is accidentally a IRS missile :thumbsup: could it be better? YES it could! the missile was to slow :lol:. I was 2.5 nm away, and the missile was to slow to hit the target :megalol::megalol::megalol: I was not shure if i should laugh or cry!!! Same with the next aim-9 :doh: --- intermediate result --- 5 of 6 missiles gone and enemy still alvie :mad: After a short fly over sea, the bandit dived down, short above the sea. after cutting his way off, i was in range, both lights was on and wohoo, last missile fired. :doh: ~ 4nm away and missile didnt hit :blink: nice! .. i couldnt belive it!!! The rest of the storry was: he turned around, fired one r-73 as i tried to get in a good gun position, and i was dead :ermm: err.. okay?!? something like repeatet from time to time, up to now.... why ED doesnt fix it???? Please release a patch, which fix this problem.. :( but i think ED wont fix it - why? i dont know - but they wontt fix it ... sometimes i think lock on is more a propaganda game than a simulation ... --------------------------------------------- - it's not me, but still bm
