  1. wow that is really cool.. thank you so much for sharing. I'll look into this
  2. Not very good on how forums work but the Wish List section had no "new thread" button where I could find it. So I'm posting this here, sorry mods! But I keep wondering how difficult it would be to have an Integrated Radio system. So if pilots were on the same frequency in Multi they could communicate if they had a microphone. If somebody were not to have a mic they could listen in. Would it be impossible? Or just not worth the trouble? Thanks for anybody taking the time to read this. If this has been brought up before, I'm sorry for resurrecting a dead idea. Happy flying
  3. Could be a lot of variables if it's a human player. Also situation. Engine management, self awareness and/or usage of flaps. Speed and altitude. Victor goes to pilot with less mistakes. But who knows they could of tweaked the k-4 in 1.5. Was on multiplayer last night first time since 1.5 in hoping to find a 109 but no luck, shot down a 190 though. Loved how there was no jerk in FPS when the damage model would kick in.
  4. You must spot planes to dogfight. At any distance.
  5. I love it! I'm sure it's something that could be cleaned up. But it's a strong feature to have I think.
  6. DCS 1.5 Won't start when I have "ACG WW2 6.0" activated but it runs fine with "ACG WW2 6.1". The server you have running now is 6.0.
  7. This may be a poor reason but the high oil pressure bug on the 51 has turned me off from flying on multiplayer servers and just flying the stang in general. Maybe there is a reason why they have not released a patch for this yet? I've heard they've fixed it in the beta version. But with working all day I don't find much time to enjoy being a virtual pilot as much as i'd like to anyways. But DCS is by far my "go to" flight sim. I believe it can be the future. The wwii scene for flight sims has a population and once dcs have more content it will attract.
  8. Lately I just hold the prime for 4-5 seconds and then try turning the engine on. It's been working for me. Though it'll take about 5+ sec for it to want to "cough" but once it gets to that point it's good to set the mix to run.
  9. With different variables of manifold pressure, rpm and ever changing speed I always have to keep an eye on my trims. Most most notably my rudder to keep the Bank and Turn Indicator slip centered. Once I have the slip centered I usually find I'll need slight adjustments to the other two trims.
  10. I want to get better at making videos. In this one I use one of the filters in the youtube editing process and I like how it turned out. I want to do more of these because I enjoy doing so. This flight is nothing special but just an instant action dogfight I happen to have some fun doing. Though, because of some songs I chose to add into the video, it is not allowed in some countries. For this I'm considering using Vimeo because I don't think that is an issue with them. But anyways, I don't have anywhere else to share this video where anybody would give a hoot. So I hope you'll enjoy.
  11. It's too bad this has not been fixed yet
  12. Anything really. Maybe a word on a quick fix. I love flying the p-51.
  13. I'm a little surprised not many others have commented on the matter.
  14. Well, if a pilot were to be shot down and he did eject to survive the incident. Would he be assigned to a new aircraft? Or if the aircraft were heavily damaged and he managed to fly back home, would there be a new aircraft to be assigned to while it would go under repairs? If this is the case, then if there were "Persistent Engine/Aircraft Wear" I'd suppose you'd always have a new aircraft after every scratch. I'm not even sure what should happen in-game if the pilot were to die. Though, in the logbook in DCS they have a "vulnerable/invulnerable" option for your profile. So if you were to fatally crash, I think you'd have to create a new profile to keep tabs of your exploits. As I had said before, if "Persistent Engine/Aircraft Wear" were an option, it would appeal to those who enjoy anything to make the experience more.. challenging? I'm not sure what word to use there. But I think the "Persistent Engine/Aircraft Wear" feature would go hand in hand with the "vulnerable/invulnerable" option in the log book. Otherwise the "vulnerable/invulnerable" option is a little pointless really other than just a little role-playing. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
