  1. ED themselfs do missile FM and stuff. The 530 is just more difficult to use, but inly slightly worse than the AIM-7

     

    I defeat "excelent" AI MiG-29 A & S head on, SU-27 get tricky and is a 50/50 game. Human players tend to do different stuff for sure, but stop calling underperforming or prove with data.

     

    And yes, max. missile ranges are within perfect conditions against non-manouvering targets from very high altidudes and very fast launch plattforms

  2. I uninstalled FC3! It's only Mirage and MiG-21 for me when I want some TopGun feeling. For oldschool dogfight I still fly the Sabre and the MiG-15. I do not see the Mirage worse than those Modules! Lacking features will come as time goes, and for me as a single player guy the god damm IFF is no issue.

     

    I like it. I like it a lot!

  3. To operate the jammer you only need to turn it on (click the switch to the M position). That's it. The jammer is working,

     

    The switch priority is something that is not enabled and we've been debating amoung ourselves if we should.

     

    In the real aircraft the jammer is so powerful that it jams its own radar. So the priority switch is there to control that. If it is on radar priority, jamming signal is weak so you can use your radar. On jammer priority your own radar is useless.

     

    As I said, we can enabled that "problem" but some team member say don't because nobody else have that weakness (but they should have it) and it will give them an unfair advantage in MP (He was specifically talking about SU-27 and F-15).

     

    pls don't go for that reason. If the real M2000 has that "problem", so it should have it ingame :thumbup:

  4. no, it's the way it still works today. no AWACS no BVR clearance. This was the case duiring Desert Storm, Balkan wars and last Iraq war.

     

    IFF fails much to often to be called a reliable thing

  5. no IFF is here more realistic than FC3 IFF.

     

    Most BVR is and was forbidden by ROE because of very poor IFF, even today! BVR is only cleared if AWACS (or similar) gives clearance to do so = target is 100% not a friendly and not civilian.

     

    just don't go by FC3 IFF standard which couldn't be more far from RL

  6. A BETA is suppose to be feature complete. How come every other "Beta" module in DCS is working so well then?

     

    Because they actually released a Beta and not an Alpha product.

     

    Don't get me wrong. I enjoy flying the thing. But in it's current state you can't really use it in any serious missions or in PVP (unless it's only M2000 vs m2000).

    No other DCS release has been like that.

     

    For me the two biggest and most breaking things about this is the missing IFF and the poor performance of the 530D. You can barley take on a Mig-21 in a head on pass. Which should be no problem at all if the 530Ds acted like they should.

     

    go read about BVR in general, and the 530 works on my end very well. You need to "lock" the target twice to go from RWS to TWS to STT mode. Don't expect a AIM120!

     

    BTW, anything abouve 5nm is a BVR shot according to the USAF :smilewink:

    Hab jetzt meinen X-55 programiert, Luftkampf ist ja schon fast "easy mode" trotz (noch) fehlender features :joystick:

     

    FM find ich klasse, der FBW effekt lässt stark nach wenn man versucht bei asymetrischer Beladung zu landen. Einfach nur toll!

    strange, seems to work sometimes and not with the 530. I needed a STT lock and than I could use "v" key, not before?!?

    it works that way:

     

    # Radar EM

    # Master Arm on

    # Select Magic Missle (LCtrl + 2)

     

    -------------------------

     

    now you can cycle to the scan mode you like ("v")

     

    # selected scan mode stays even if you change to 530

    # every change to Radar setting (like range or something) will disengage all Scan modes and go back default

  9. sehr wendig, aber nur für sehr kurze Zeit. Deltaflügel verbrennt deine Energie schneller als du "halt stopp" sagen kannst. Nach nichtmal 360° turn wird die Mirage zum Backstein. Und in großen Höhen is auch nichtmehr viel mit Wendigkeit.

     

    unter 6000ft und mit genügend speed ein Hammer, sonst "nur" schnell und wahnsinns Rollrate.

     

    Flanker und Eagle behalten ihre Energie besser und sind bis in große Höhen sehr Leistungsfähig, bauen also nicht so schnell ab.

    1991

     

    Operation Desert Storm beginns. It is 0330h local time. A key mission in this night is a runway attack to eleminate the Iraqi Airforce on the ground.

     

    A 4-ship package of F-15E Strike Eagles will perform the runway bombing. A 2-ship SEAD of Torado GR.4 provided by the RAF will take care of ground based air defence.

     

    You and your 4-ship of F-15C will provide air cover duiring this night. The stike package should be over the target area when the first sunlight hits the desert.

     

    Strike Eagles and Tornados will wait for you at rendevouz point, so hurry up!

     

    it WILL be dark until the sun gomes up, so stick to your NAV points and listen what flight control has to tell you! Wait for taxi until all 6 strikers are airborne!

  11. Hi,

     

    all ground units I place simply do nothing.

    Arty is not firing (fire at point), not even moving.

    Tanks facing each other at only a few 100 meters choose to ignore eachother.

     

    When I play "ground attack" instand mission in the F-86F arty is actually firing, but when I create a mission by my self no ground unit ever fights.

     

     

    Do I miss something? :huh:
