I actually didn't realise you could take off without a ground alignment (or that it was safe to do so). So ignoring the test what could happen if I don't do an alignment?

I was told that you can shave around 20-30 seconds off the start-up procedure if you're using ground power. In theory you can align your CDU/EGI as soon as the battery and ground power is on before your APU has got to 100% to turn over the engine (which you'd need to align normally). The alignment takes the most amount of time so, yeh that basically the reason.

Hi all, I really wasn't sure where the best place to post was for this but as youtubers tend to focus here I figured this might be appropriate. I'm a streamer on twitch.tv and I've recently started streaming DCS World. Currently I have FC3 and A10c and at the moment I'm mainly focusing on the A10c on multi player servers when I stream. I just wanted to get your opinion on a few things. When I stream I also like to be on the TS servers if I can be. I normally pre-warn people I'm streaming too but how do people feel about their voice being potentially broadcast? Now I stream but I only get around 30-40 viewers concurrently so it's not like people's voices are being transmitted to a lot of people. I wanted to get your opinions though, is this a bad thing? Would you prefer it not to be streamed? I really welcome your opinion and I'd also like to ask, what would you like to see in live streams if they interest you? The other night I went methodically through what I was doing in the startup of the A10c and I'd like ot perhaps do some sort of live tutorials. I'm not an expert at the game and welcome people to explain how to do things either over TS or in teh chat (but the 30 second delay can make it tricky that way). Anyway as I say I'd love feedback in any form. Hi all, I'm new to the forums but not so new to flying the A10c. That said I'm probably relatively new compared to many of you I'm sure. I'm certain that I've got lazy in my start up procedure and especially bad to the ground crew as I always forget to tell them to turn off the ground power before taxiing away. This got me wondering, what bad habits do you have in the A10? I'm hoping people sharing might help stop me from developing other bad habits in the future! Thanks N1tch

As a Brit living in France and being a fan of the Red Arrows the BAE Hawk is so tempting... I promise my flying is better than my drawing though :/ Also I only had a ball point to hand!
