  1. Don't worry, will do:smilewink: Still working on it, as soon as there'll be sthg new, I'll keep you updated.
  2. Many thanks to all of you, for all those kind words and excellent reviews. Glad to hear that you like them. Also thanks for suggestions, the on/off indicator was already mentioned few times and is on my list of upgrades for future version. Will be added for sure.
  3. Might be needed to use zip ties instead or modify a bit your headphones with some distance (hard foam maybe) that you could glue with eg. double side tape to ear cup, so you could achieve flat surface on one side and curved on other. As for headband mounting - should be possible. I'm not sure however how Track IR will react for such position of UTC. Just performed a quick test in Open Track with 45 degree rolled UTC, seems working same as vertical mounted. Maybe someone who use UTC with Track IR could perform such test, anyone? Any help would be appreciated. :helpsmilie:
  4. Hey Aviators, Details in PM.
  5. Time for some update and new photos... For some time already there's a new version - II+ Didn't have to much time lately to post this earlier, so fast forward now - same casing, same electronic but with slightly better and stronger LEDs. All UTC copies that were prepared lately were equipped with new LEDs, so if you noticed them in your clip - be sure it's UTC II+ I was also asked lately to prepare a wired version of UTC. Your ideas are always welcome, so here it is (here with 3m cable, but this can be adjusted). Already added to regular offer.
  6. There's not to much room to mount it on AKG 701, but I might have a solution for you. Here's an example on AKG K702 with a specially designed and 3d printed holder:
  7. Thanks for sharing. Nice idea, moreover easily affordable for everyone, as simply as that
  8. Thx for your kind words, hope UTC will serves you well :)
  9. There is no any ETA for Mk III. As for now, there are only few concept ideas what could be improved, mostly in production process to be easier and less annoying for me. Some small visual changes maybe. To be honest, you rather won't see much difference in tracking between Mk II and III as both are based on the same electronic.
  10. Today I'd like to share with you the first official review of UTC II, my personal project that started over a year ago... Few weeks ago, Mike from Sim UK asked me if I'd like to participate in review of TrackIR alternatives that he's preparing. As for now, there are three competitors: TrackHat, EdTracker and UTC II. You can see the review of UTC II below, together with two others, have fun :music_whistling:
  11. "Custom" tab is needed here, cause UTC has center LED moved 5mm side, so top LED won't interfere with it when you look straight down.
  12. Truly said, I personally am using FTNoIR as it works pretty well for me. I didn't saw any unwanted X, Y, Z movement here. Other thing is, I didn't have much time to play with OpenTrack config:music_whistling:
  13. I can send it in approximately 4-7 days. For now it's Mk II or rather informal Mk 2,5 - new electronic in same casing. When Mk III will be available is not yet known.
  14. Update of first post - UTC Mk II official premiere.
  15. PM or bedeviler@gmail.com
  16. UTC Mk II has piece of sticky velcro (3x4 cm) in box, so you don't need to find anything. Foam tape is rather permanent. If you'd like to separate them, you'll probably need new piece of tape (you need to cut it out, cause it's too strong). Some people use zip ties with foam tape attached, it all depends what headphones are you using.
  17. Hi doveman. I'm using mine with Superlux HD681 headphones which are almost the same as your Samson model. Mine UTC is mounted with double side foam tape and it's the biggest version - 1600 mAh, weights ~55g. Trully said, I barely feel any difference with or without UTC on my headphones. UTC with 650 mAh weights ~35g.
  18. Thanks for your kind words BaD CrC, I'm hoping it'll :music_whistling: As Bourrinopathe asked me before - did I use 3D printer for the case? Printed parts looks to messy for me, so no :smilewink: This is handmade stuff but done with care of details, every single time I'm making one. That's why it looks much better and neat :music_whistling:
  19. Goblin - PM me please with some details (which version you'll like etc.) :smilewink: Hopefully Bourrinopathe will receive his clip in a few days so he can give you some feedback. Counting on it, my friend :music_whistling:
  20. Nice idea with those boxes LynxDK, the're looking really fine :) As for the "big" price... for one it's big, for other not necessarily. Anyway, did you consider change of base material? Maybe resin instead of printing, it should be much cheaper, faster and easier for you ;)
  21. I just checked that shipping all over the world cost about the same for registered letter - $5
  22. Great to hear that you like it. @Bourrinopathe - actually it was the whole idea - do not mount any fancy system to fix UTC to headphones. If it has to be universal, let anyone install it as he wants. As you said, there're already so many headset models on market, that can't be done so easilly with one "universal" fix system, eg. Track Clip Pro.
  23. I've already stared:music_whistling: I've got one spare clip ready to shipping, more will come... if there will be interest.
  24. I saw trackhat products... few months after I finished my clip. So despite similar shape - these are 2 different products... plus my cost half the price and works 2x time longer. UTC is made by hand but but with care of details, so it won't break after few uses. Don't throw him everyday and it will works for many years. Shipping to US and Sweden are similar. About $15 via standard package, or... $5 if sent by registered letter, good enough? If package correctly and put in bubble envelope, there's now way it could be broken. I sent this way many electronic stuff over my country and never came broken. Both are sent via Polish Post.
  25. UTC - what is it? UTC is an active head tracking clip, a professional alternative for popular Track Clip Pro, yet offering everything that original design does not provide... Sturdier, more powerful and much better made... and will not break from just looking at it ;) And above all - wireless and with a battery that allows for several hours of fun per single charge. For whom? For all those who want to free themselves from the cables and enjoy perfect tracking signal throughout the entire work time. Tested by many, loved by everyone. If you're looking for a for professional solutions, value aesthetics and don't like compromise, you've come to the right place. Technicall specification: - Wireless head tracking clip based on 3 IR LED model (active tracking based on infrared diodes). - Fully compatible with TrackIR (all versions). - Fully compatible with OpenTrack, FaceTrackNoIR and Free Track. - Robust design. - Smooth flexible resin enclosure. - Same enclosure, 4 differnt variants (3 wireless and 1 cable) - choose the one that suits you best (see details below). - Guarantee real working time. - Universal design suitable for your needs - smooth surface on both sides of enclosure without any mounting catches allows you to adjust it to your own needs. - Compatible with almost every model of bigger headphones. Use a head strap instead (e.g. from a head lamp), mount it to your helmet or even borrow a hairband from your wife... whichever works best for you. - Left/right side mounting with sticky velcro, double-sided foam tape or sticky zip ties. Be default each UTC copy has a pair of sticky velcro in the box. - 3 high quality IR LEDs 120°.
