Yeah some people in MP assume their mighty war horses can't be shot down by those cheap mig 21. The next milestone in your Mig 21 career, make someone rage quit, always happened with F15 pilots for me lol

Not just because I'm French and I have been seeing those flying around quite a few time but this looks very promising. I only play the Mig 21 in MP but I'm definitely gonna play the hell outta this beautiful bird.

We go against F15 all the time in mp with the 21 with some success, the Mig 25 could be interesting. Would loove a mig 23 though.

Really depends on what one is looking for, I only fly the mig21 even though I have the worst KD ratio in history. But I'm having fun and shooting down modern jets in my old piece of communist technology is a wonderful feeling haha! I like to be challenged and flying the 21 I always have a run for my money. For me the frustration when I started flying the Mig evolved into being much more aware of my mistakes as a flyer and always wanting to do better than the previous time. But I am well aware that this is not for everyone, and I know people prefer a faster gratification when playing video games. Nothing wrong with it. We all have our lives and adding too much stress to it because of a game is not a good thing.

What do you mean? Yes, sure is. I'm to the point where I think that a lot of people fly F15s not because they like the aircraft but because it carries amraams... I'm also thinking RED should not be able to fly F15s, east vs west all the way!

Hope this is not off topic, but I'm kinda bugged by the fact that everyone (mostly) flies 30ft Agl in F15 su 27 and mig 29 and turns ecm right after gear up. Im all for realism, but I find it weird sometimes to be told on.server that I should never get a kill in my Mig 21 because it's not realistic as it's an old plane so inferior to modern fighters. Hell was even told to go play ACE combat if in was disagreeing lol I'm not targeting anyone here, but lots of.ppl ask for more realism aka F15 should destroy everything, (being sarcastic) while flying unrealistic (hugging the ground and shooting amraams even at very short ranges) kinda hypocritical I believe. Mp sometimes feels really like Call of duty, with a race to frag no matter what. Don't hate me, those are just my feelings, I'm on the 104th often if you need a target :) Bid

My new video: A kill on the 104th, played cat and mouse with 2 F-15 getting locked several times but got lucky and shot down a imprudent contrailer (with my engine flaming out in the middle of the fight!) Using the same stick, along with a track ir. I do trim, master mode button, tms up, counter measures, speed breaks, the rest is with keyboard or mouse. Doesn't prevent me from enjoying the A10 a lot Edit: I play mostly MP and never feels I am at a disadvantage.

Very nice fight Hadwell Got my weirdest kill the other day I guess : see a contrail so I start a pursuit it's enemy, I'm almost in range when...engine goes out...I shoot a R3r out of despair and try to keep the lock with my airspeed dropping. The missile hits I start to giggle and try to restart the engine, it works lol...best part didn't think to record. Lol

Nice kill Op fireshield is the most challenging for me in term of good mig 21 usage. Small hills and shallow valley makes it harder.

Ah the joys of loosing contacts. Lost a F15 as well today no idea what he did or where he went. But I did kill a 27 that was contrailing so it's nice. Met my very modest objective of 1 kill with the 21 each time I play DCS lol

I fly between 2000 and 4000 following rwr cues for targets, if locked, split s and runaway flying low. When threat is evaded pop.up and start again lol And lower altitude when following the rwr for better radar usage

Lol taking on F15s and Su27s with a F86, you sir are taking the fight against modern fighters to a whole new level!

This is the hard part sadly, because of the happy mix of airplanes between red and blue on most servers. I called off attacks when not sure to be honest it's frustrating but didn't wanted to shoot a friendly. The East vs West missions are great though because you can truly ID the other aircrafts.

A really fun session on the 104th saturday, got 3 kills (2.5 really), teamed up with an other Mig 21 pilot and between the 2 of us we shot down 7 F15/Mig 29/Su27s lol. I had a blast. The last kill in the vid is the result of some nice teamwork Forget to turn on my mic recording 1. F15 with R13 2. Su 27 with R3R 3. F15 with R13 those were actually my 2nd and 3rd kills with IR weapons ever on the 21. Edit : Another R13M1 kill during a East vs West Mission:

Uboats is right : By default trackir z axis is assigned to axis commands/zoom view. instead bind it to axis commands/ Abosulte longitude shift camera. Solved the problem for me.

Hello, I have this problem with the 29 and the 27 in FC3 : when using track ir the cockpit view is zoomed in a lot, and no way to zoom back (tried disabling track ir zoom out and enabling it again but no luck sadly) Anyone ever ecountered this? PS: no problem with any other modules.
