  1. So.. I want to use a joystick visualizer overlay in nVidia shadow play. Is it even possible?
  2. Anyone who can help??
  3. AMD FX8350, mobo ASUS Sabertooth 990fx rev 2.0 it supports only gen 2 PCIe
  4. seems to be only on pcie gen 2. is it ok?
  5. https://youtu.be/03P2hiWyPF4 so, I followed your advises and here are the results thus far: first, disabled over clocking of the gpu. this made the power draw and gpu usage fluctuations issues go away completely. game ran smooth at 99% usage and around 50 fps @1080P. I thought it was strabge, because I had this OC setting for the better part of a year without any issues. so I checked nVidia settings, to find out the gpu was on "optimal power" and not "prefer maximum performance", so I changed it. then, I wanted to see if the OC is an issue - I ran 2 hours of gpu stress testing on the highest OC I could get without frying the chip (higher than before). It was stable and smooth, no crashes and no fluctuations in gpu usage or power draw. Tried this with 6 other intense games, and no issue whatsoever. then booted with over 23 backround apps, and still everything ran smooth, even in DCS. I thought I nailed it... only to see that after some fiddling` in the game and several restarts later, the issue went beck up again!! cancelling OC did nothing in this instance. a day later, everything seems cool again. I can only conclude that this issue can be classified as INTERMITTENT for now... any thoughts?
  6. no go thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it a lot! I tried: DDU nvidia drivers uninstall, and reverted to version 332 from 441. no go. all background apps closed. no go. game on full\windowed screen. no go. v-sync. no go. gpu stock settings. no go. cleaned mods from install command. no go. tried other games - working great!!! there is this weird behavior where I can hear periodical and constant spikes in gpu usage - then the fan kicks in. it stops abruptly and then the fps drop and the stuttering occurs. just like the video shows. I'm kind of at a loss down here...
  7. what the actual F is going on? I can play for a month now... https://youtu.be/qL0Vf5sLQUI
  8. look at this: still stutters after the zoom issue was resolved https://youtu.be/Su9-zZHqAwg
  9. First off all, I did have an axis assigned to the zoom. But the fact it was 'dancing' like that is still weird. After unassigning it, there is still the awful stutter happening.
  10. so, as you can infer from the youtube link, I have a new stutter and zoom thingy issue in DCS. I tried to delete VIEWS.LUA but it didn't help. these stutters are without the use of track IR. anyone having the same issues maybe? any suggestions? https://youtu.be/sYW6grPOPKw
  11. thank you man. I'll put it to good use
  12. I see, but all I want is a nice jpg or pdf with the mappings for the warthog. the throttle is not identical to the f-16, so I want to make sense of it sooner rather than later
  13. I can't find the diagram for the default control schemes for all DCS modules, including the Viper. any links would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Total noob question: My TPR finally arrived, and with the T.M Warthog I have the controls I always wanted. But.. I can't seem to figure out how the TARGET software works or how to import profiles from the DCS site. Any link for a good YouTube tutorial?

  16. Not yet. I'm reluctant to buy it without any benchmark info. Do you have some information and fps + resolution details? Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
  17. This awful shimmering and flickering started put of nowhere. can anyone give feedback and\or a solution?
  18. looks good m8. do you have some fps and resolution benches to share maybe?
  19. I want to buy an optimized PC for the highest FPS in VR. I try to build a killer system, but budget smart as well: I currently can't decide between a pure gaming rig like the Z370 + Intel 8086K that will sacrifice scalability and expandability like more GPU's, extra USB ports, RAID CPU connected NVMe SSD's. The Z370 can support only X16 PCIe lanes and I'm afraid that X2 GTX 1080ti's will saturate the X8 connections then. And what will happen if I'll connect 2 M.2 drives in RAID? I could get the X299 chipset with a THREADRIPPER X1950 or a Core i9 with all the shebang and extra cores, but lose valuable FPS and paying a much higher price for this setup. P-L-E-A-S-E HELP ME FIGURE IT OUT...... some benchmarks maybe, some SLI performance and utilization data and pricing maybe. I'm at lost here guys :-\
  20. your rig seems really good 2 questions: 1. does the SLI with different cards work well together? 2. the Z37 chipset & CPU combo allow only X16 PCIe lanes, so do you experience bottlenecking due do X8 GPU PCIe saturation? 21. hey there Bad CrC, thank you very much for the detailed and elaborate response. I really appreciate it. I think of maybe opting for the aforementioned NUC because selling the thinkpad now is not an option. I use it for studying ant note taking with the built in pen + onenote. I was actually very interested to know what the thinkpad machine can turn out with a 1070 egpu. but I think you are right - it just not cut to the task unfortunately. what kind of fps\settings does your NUC put through?
  22. Play DCS on a laptop with eGPU or with Intel NUC? I need some help guys; I work at a night job (I'm a M'urse- male nurse ;-) with tons of hours to kill and I love DCS. I have a laptop that has X4 PCI lanes open and willing to connect to an external GPU with a Thunderbolt 3 port. Some questions: 1. I have heard that regardless of the GPU ability, there is a PCIe or CPU bottlenecking. 2. Therefore, given my specific specs, what kind of GPU should I opt for? 1060, 70, 80… etc.' 3. I can also buy for the same price (through an intel employee) the latest NUC - which one would do the work better? 4. Can DCS even run on these alleged setups anyway? Details: • My laptop: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2nd gen specs: [20JD004UUS] - 7th Gen Kaby Lake, 2 cores 4 threads, Intel Core i7 7500U @ 2.7 GHz, 4MB Cache, 15W - 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM @ 1866 MHz - SSD PCIe NVMe 512 GB Flash Memory - two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, both supporting Thunderbolt 3 with 4PCIe lanes • Possible eGPU's I can Buy: - Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080 Gaming Box for 700 USD - Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1070 Gaming Box for 650 USD • Possible Intel NUC I can Buy: - Hades Canyon NUC Premium VR Mini Desktop Gaming PC for about 700-800 USD from an Intel employee benefit (Intel i7-8809G, 16GB RAM, 2x500GB NVMe RAID, AMD Radeon RX Vega M GH, Windows 10 Home) Any help from personal experience and benchmarking data would be immensely appreciated. Thanks guys!
  23. Thanks m8!! It actually worked :-) bless you
