Hope everyone’s doing well. Looking forward to the next batch shipping soon (within the next week according to WinWing’s Facebook). Very excited to try out my new hotas! :joystick:

Hi guys, I'm building a DCS Bios/RS485 hornet cockpit more or less using the concept in . I bought a bunch of nanos from Ebay and all works well. These nanos use the old bootloader. I then needed & bought more nanos which use the new bootloader. Whenever I mix the new nanos with the old bootloader ones, I get panels that just won't work. Is there a way I can get the new ones to play nice with the old ones? thanks in advance! (Also, thanks to everyone that has shared their know-how on all things DCS Bios!)

Thanks for the reply Zhukov! But I'm not sure if that's my issue. I've never had the motion sickness that some people experience and have never had the cross eyed thing with the Rift. While I haven't used my Odyssey+ for much other than DCS, the few other games I have tried do not have this issue. It seems exclusive to DCS and maybe a few other games (I believe some iracing users are reporting similar things). Your point about marathon sessions is a good one but my sessions are very short right now- most of my time is spent building my hornet pit (not actually flying).

Any new developments on this? Like many people- I bought the O+ when it went on sale (coming from the Oculus). While the screen door effect is all but gone and gauges are easier to read, I can't completely get rid of the cross eyed feeling it gives me. It really takes me a minute to get my bearings when taking the headset off. Looking forward to a permanent fix!

Same here. Hoping for a fix. For me, if I lower the L_OUT and R_OUT about .02 it seems to help but its not perfect.
-
Mine measured 55cm from the outside left pedal to the outside right pedal, and about 27cm from the inside left pedal to the inside right pedal when mounted on the crosswinds.

This is so awesome guys. Printing the pedals now. Looking good so far. As someone who is trying to make my own hornet pit (I’m about half way done), I can really apreciate all the work you are putting in to this. Can’t wait to see your finished product!

Wow. I’ll be watching this closely. Very nice sir.

I’ll be watching this thread closely as I plan on starting my VR Hornet pit very soon! I have my Prusa i3 MK3 up and running, ordered a ton of buttons & switches, and a bunch of Arduino “stuff”. To say I’m interested is an understatement. Can’t wait to see where this goes. Good luck!

Unfortunately DCS crashed I'm getting regular crashes in 2.5.1 (Oculus). Old missions, new missions, it doesn't seem to matter. Everything runs fine for 5-15 minutes but eventually the game will freeze. These freezes eventually led to a bsod, which seems to have corrupted some files. Simshaker and Voice Attack both had corrupted files after the bsod. I seem to have them working again but DCS still freezes. I'm wondering if its time to reformat  Log file attached. Thanks! :pilotfly: dcs.log-20180509-034548.zip

[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
WARonWAR replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for the reply. No, unlimited ammo is off. I used the debugger tool and it looks like it is recognizing the ammo count. What makes no sense to me is the cannon rumble works in VR mode, but not in non-VR mode. All other sounds seem to work as they should in both modes. -

No cannon rumble I thought I had my issues sorted out but I’m still having problems with the cannon rumble not working (or working sporadically) in the A-10C and F15. I am using a buttkicker type setup. As of last night, all seems to work fine when in VR (oculus). When flying in non-VR is when I have problems. If there is anything I should try please let me know. I will deal with it for now because I usually fly in VR anyway but I wanted to bring it up. Thanks again for a great product- I can’t imagine flying without it! -
[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
WARonWAR replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It was a strange one. Other planes worked fine. I found that in the A-10C if I flew below 2500 ft the cannon rumble would work- above that would not. I decided to completely remove and reinstall DCS and SimShaker and all is well again. Not sure what I had goofed up but we are good now. Thank you! :joystick: -

I recently lost the cannon rumble in the A-10C. Everything else seems to work fine. I believe this happened after running DCS repair. My SimShaker license is good, unlimited ammo is off, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling SimShaker but no joy. Any ideas? This program is great btw.. I love having my teeth chatter when I BRRRRT!! Great work! -

WARonWAR replied to WARonWAR's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software

Capt Zeen Helios (radio fix) with iPad CDU app?
WARonWAR replied to WARonWAR's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I've attached the 2 Export files I'm trying to combine in case anyone has time to take a look. Thanks everyone, War HeliosRadioFix_Export.lua CDUipad_Export.lua -
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has successfully combined the Export.lua files for Capt Zeen's Helios profile (radio fix) with this CDU app for the A-10C. The CDU app works great with Helios but it doesn't include the radio fix Capt Zeen came up with. I've tried a few times to combine export files and I'm afraid it's a bit over my head. Any help would be most appreciated! CDU app: http://www.apppicker.com/apps/956722244/dcs-a10c-cduaap

Helios ILS Volume and Khz frequency knob issues
WARonWAR replied to WARonWAR's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hey Ragtop (or anyone else that can help)- Could you kindly point me to the download you are talking about? I just want to make sure you are not talking about the "CaptZeen radio-fix for A10C" as seen in this video. I did this fix already and it certainly fixed my AM & FM radio! The problem I am having is with the ILS. I appreciate your help (and your patience). Most of this stuff is just slightly over my head.. [ame=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqvxUva_K6s] video[/ame] -
Helios ILS Volume and Khz frequency knob issues
WARonWAR replied to WARonWAR's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for the help Ragtop! -
Hey guys, I'm running the "Loz SM V2.1" A10-C profile in Helios 1.3. Works good! The issue I am having is that when I adjust the ILS frequency knob in helios, the ILS volume knob goes crazy. I believe this was an issue that was fixed in Helios 1.2 but I seem to still be having the problem. Can anyone point me to the lua file / line of txt that I should be looking at? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
WARonWAR replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Yes, this is definitely along the lines of what I am trying to do! In game looks the same as before (good!) and I can re-size the GUI so that I can see all of my menu items! Awesome. My problem now is that any resolution I use for the GUI that is less than full screen (for me 5760 x 1980) makes it so that my mouse pointer does not actually click where I am pointing it on screen. So, while I can actually see all of my menu items now, actually clicking and navigating the menu items is near impossible. Is there any work around for this problem? Thanks much hansangb and klem for helping -war -
Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
WARonWAR replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
I've futzed with this for hours and am making no progress. 5760 x 1980 looks perfect in game to me with my 4 monitor setup. The only problem it is causing is that my main menu items get cut off. ie I can't choose "mission editor" and "campaign builder" because they are not visible! I've tried editing my monitor.lua file. I choose it as my monitor configuration in the options menu, yet I notice no difference between my new lua file and the "1 screen" lua file I was using before. Main menu items are still cut off. I am probably not editing the lua file correctly, but I'm not sure. Here's my lua file I don't have touch screens, but if a helios setup is a better option to run 4 monitors in a "T-shape" then maybe I will try that route. It just seems to be way more than what I am trying to do. Thanks again for trying to help! -
Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
WARonWAR replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Thanks for the quick reply, No I mean "1980". The top 3 monitors are Asus vg248qe's running at 1920 x 1080 the bottom monitor is a Samsung B1940W running at 1440 x 900. So I added 1080 + 900 to get my height. I'm using the single monitor setup in game. No helios. I will probably mess with bezel correction after I get this sorted out. -
Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
WARonWAR replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
4 Monitors T setup Hi all, I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction.. I haven't played in a while but recently updated to 1.5 and want to start playing again. I have a 4 monitor "T-Shaped" setup that I run at 5760 x 1980 in game- and it is pretty much the way I like it. The main problem I have is the main menu of the game. Some of the menu items get cut off. My Nvidia setup (gtx 680)http://www.fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/UmX In game pic of my Rig http://www.fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/Umv Menu items cut off http://www.fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/UyN Which lua files do I want to edit in DCS 1.5 so that I can change the position of the menu items? Or is there a better way to go about a "T-shaped" setup than the way I am doing it? I appreciate any advice you may have, -war
