I served on the U.S.S. Independence. We called her, Indy, Chicken of the Sea, Flat-top, Ship, and maybe a few other names, but we didn't call her a "boat". I just scanned through my 1961-61 cruise book (The Profile) and all references I found were "ship". Calling her a "boat" would have been as inappropriate as calling a "piece" a gun. Piece is the naval term for a rifle, for example. A"Gun" is that big old cannon that goes boom on a destroyer or similarly armed vessel. lol

Thanks for the response Marluk. Using the F6 command verified the weapon did detonate. Could be I also needed to leave the fuse option at N/T. Anyway, seems okay now.

Bombs not exploding. I've watched training videos, read the manual as well as other posts I could find, but no joy. I ensure the weapons are armed, tried changing fuse type, etc., etc.. I can deliver the ordinance, but just don't see any explosions, Tried at different altitudes up to 8 and 10 thousand feet...and much lower. Is there an issue with the A-10C? Perhaps a patch I need. Help appreciated.

Nellis....ever? Just finished a boring flight and wondering when Nellis will be released. I'll probably wait for it rather than continue in the present flying environment.

Waiting on Nellis NTTR and F-16. Will focus on A-10C and F-16 modules and maybe F-18 upon release.

Is there a general server address for DCS pilots on Teamspeak3 and if so, could someone guide me to the info or provide via PM. I may later join a squadron...I'm flying the A-10C and P-51D. I'm a real world pilot no longer punching holes in clouds above, but flying DCS and X-plane. Thx

I have the free version of the P-51D (and the Frogfoot) and trying out DCS at present. I haven't found a way to load weapons on the P-51D after many attempts with Training, Quick Missions, Mission Editor, and Campaigns. Wondering if the free version, perhaps does not allow loading and firing of weapons. Do I need to purchase the P-51D, then to have weapons feature?
