My friend and I are having this same issue. When lined up to do manual bombing the pipper "jumps" up and down the fall line randomly, making it very hard to hit anything. We have the problem with Mk-82s and Zuni rockets. We are playing in a MP server and have done alignment to min. for weapon release (if this makes a difference I don't know). I don't know how to record a track but I will see if my friend can. Mars

PointCTRL - Finger Mounted VR Controller

I just want to drop in here to say that I installed the new beta firmware and the finger tracking is fantastic. 100% matches my standard mouse tracking with no "shaking" or "jumping". Thanks Miles! Mars- 3416 replies

Wait - does this mean I can no longer get the pre-order discount if I use the Steam version of DCS? I was under the impression that the pre-order discount was valid until the release date - I hope this is still the case... Thanks, Mars

@ AKA - I baked the clay. I have not tried to sand it but it seems like this would work. Mars- 3416 replies

Quick update on my PointCTRL use. I made small orbs of translucent Sculpey and used white glue to carefully attach them to my FCUs. The tracking is more steady with these installed. They are admittedly not as nice looking as the 3D printed version but decidedly easier for one to implement if a 3D printer is not handy. I am happy with the results. Mars- 3416 replies

Thank You FoxDelta! I am trying Sculpey diffusers as I have to "borrow" 3D printing time from a friend. If Sculpey does not work I will print your diffusers. Mars- 3416 replies

FoxDelta - any way you can upload the file to print the diffuser? Would love to have an "easy" fix for this. Thanks, Mars- 3416 replies

First off - I received my unit last week and just had time last night to plug it in and do a quick calibration. One word - WOW!! GREAT JOB to all involved - especially Miles. This is 1000% better than the mouse/keyboard for cockpit input - a real game changer! Quick question - when I ordered PointCTRL I did not see the following: Recommended - USB Charge Monitor and and data logger $10.00 I did not purchase this. Will I need it to update the firmware or does it serve some other purpose? If it is something I should have I will reach out to Miles to see if I can get one shipped as a spare. Any clarification much appreciated. Thanks, Mars- 3416 replies

I ordered from Amazon about 1 week ago and have concluded that my unit is a "rev1" - it suffers flickering that is heat induced. I am hoping that I can start an RMA process with HP and get a "rev2" replacement without much downtime in between. Now that I have seen the amazing visual quality inside the 'verb it will be hard to go back to the O I was using before. Mars

ON RELEASE Please (#90) Hi Firecat, I did not get a PM but would like to be on the "at release" list. Thanks and can't wait to play with this little toy! It was great to hear Los say he can still easily use his physical panels with Point-Ctl. Mars- 3416 replies

Figured it out - will post to help others. For some reason my "run.exe" had been set to compatibility mode for Windows Vista - I do not remember doing this but I could have for some other troubleshooting reason long ago. When I turned this off DCS fired up in the DK2 first try! Thanks for all help! Mars

I did this but the only exe I have in the DCS folder inside Steam is run.exe... When I launch this as you instructed it still starts to the monitor. Thanks for your help - any further ideas? Mars Edit - this time I did not get the window that asks ifI want to run in VR or not... Edit 2 - I opened Steam VR and tried to run the game in VR from there and it gives me an error stating that there is no keyboard or mouse attached so it will not run the game...Is it possible that my wireless microsoft keyboard is not recognized inside vr - thus forcing DCS to run in monitor mode? Edit 3 - I plugged a wired mouse in and launched from Steam VR - DCS launched to the desktop yet again... Out of ideas!

Did a clean install and DCS still launches to the monitor. Oculus software is set to allow outside sources. I have no idea what to do next... Any ideas? I am on Steam and I erased all local files and then re-downloaded everything - 12.2GB. I am on Oculus 1.3.1 with a DK2. Thanks, Mars
