  1. FIX Yes, there is a fix for the Static ATC mod for DCS 1.5.5 in this thread. Read a few post back. Works great! Don't know about DCS 2.0

  3. Thanks Hollywood, I think the simplest thing for me to do is keep with version 1.5.12 for now. BTW, if you want to revert back, when you do the uninstall of version 1.6 you'll have to manually remove the voiceattack.exe file, as it was not done by un-install, at lest for me. If not you'll still have version 1.6 when you try to revert back.
  4. Profile Reset Hollywood, I believe this same fault is keeping the "Profile Reset" function from working. Once I use the Profile Reset after the mission is started, Voice Attack pauses and will not un-pause. Noticed Voice attack has a beta 1.6.1.8 out, I'll see if it corrects issues. Update: Voice Attack 1.6.1.8 is no help... Have you received any response from the creators of Voice Attack on this issue yet?
  5. VAC Static ATC Menu Mod This seems to work, I couldn't get the comms menu to come up at all with the VAC Static ATC Menu Mod activated, using VA/Viacom or even using the \ key. After replacing the above file, the comm menu comes up, and seems to work at this point. Need to do additional testing to verify selecting a specific airfield still functions though.   6. Temporary KMGU Fix This how I got the KMGU Submunition Dispenser to start operating in the Su-25T Training Mission. Added the "Action" value "STOP WAIT USER RESPONSE" as show below using the mission editor. Whether it's the correct way ? :unsure:

I would like to request that Eagle Dynamics would consider developing a equable process to provide it's end users with the ability to more easily build "home cockpits" of a "professional quality" for the DCS series of simulated aircraft, by developing a CAD file system, which of course, could be provided as an paid service or paid "optional add on product", and in such a manner could provide Eagle Dynamics with a reasonable DRM mechanism, that is, if such a concept is possible.
  9. ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero Motherboard reset switch. This connection can be confusing because of the way the diagram is presented. Reference page 1-41 of the manual. Basically the connections are made in a horizontal manner, 2 rows, left to right just as you would read a book. Ignore the vertical lines separating the connector into what appears to be pin pairs. So the reset switch connection is row 2, pins 3, 4, & 5. My reset switch is a 2 pin connector, therefore connecting to pin 3 (ground) & pin 4 (RSTCON#). Hope this helps!
  10. Performance Issues... Here is a repost plus addition info which may help others. If your Using the HTC Vive read this page, http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=139912&page=107 Basically it seems the Steam app, and also a background services presumably having to do with HTC's e-shop, and/or Steam VR do not seem play well with DCS World (go figure, as DCS is available on Steam...) I just turn them all off when activating DCS World. Also I basically disable every unnecessary app running in the task bar. Until I (and Holleywood_315 about the same time) figured this out. The stuttering was not sever, but noticeably annoying. Reading the below quote, this stutter was in the 2D monitor version also, it just was not as noticeable as it is in VR, in other words the stutter issue I was having did not have anything to do with fps (running at 180fps!!). The HTC Vive's equivalent to OR's ATW is "Allow Reprojection", and it works very well. It basically kick's in when the fps drops to 45fps. Another thing I've noticed, is cockpit shadows have a very hard hit on fps, as it keeps the fps in the Reprojection (or ATW) range most of the time, which is a shame as I really love the cockpit shadows. If you'd like a to see a good example of how the "Allow Reprojection" works, fly the "Flight Over Tbilisi" mission with the cockpit shadows on. These are my DCS option setting, and below that is my system hardware description, which I've got overclocked, both the CPU and GPU. Textures = Medium Terrain Textures = Low Civ. Traffic = Low (although I haven't seen any yet) Water = Low Heat Blur = OFF Shadows = OFF *N/A *N/A *N/A Res. of Cockpit Displays = 256 MSAA = 8x HDR = ON (don't know is it really does anything in VR) Depth of Field = OFF Lens Effects = NONE Clutter/Grass = 0 (haven't really played with it yet) Tress Visibility = 1500 (haven't really played with it yet) Preload Radius = 150 (played with it, but not quite understanding how it really works and effects DCS World in VR yet) Anisotropic Filtering = 4x Flat Terrain Shadows = OFF Disable Aero Interface = Checked My system is fairly up to date, and I personally consider it really the minimal for a good DCS World / HTC Vive experience. It just takes some beefy hardware for this VR thing. My system basics are, i7-6700 CPU, ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ALPHA motherboard, G.SKILL F4-3400C16Q-64GVK 64GB memory (maybe this is what's forcing me through issues others are having?) Zotac GeForce® GTX 980 Ti AMP! Extreme GPU Windows10 SSD Harddrive What I'm seeing in the HMD is mostly 90fps (about 92%-98% guess). While it's not possible for me to monitor the monitor while wearing the HMD to compare both, I do see and I am able to read the fps indication in the HMD very well as it's displayed a little lower in the HMD, closer the Vives sweet spot than the comms messages. I do get the occasional drop down to 45fps, but (and this is only just an observed subjective speculation) it seems to be certain object textures and at only certain altitudes or distances from the offending object, whatever it might be, I don't know. But I have the suspicion the ED team is already aware of the culprit(s) and it(they) are on a to do list for termination. And I haven't got to doing multiplayer yet, just not enough time :noexpression:. This is the best help I can give for those using the Vive, hope it helps some of those struggling with the stutter issues. Again, keep in mind all this is new, DCS World wasn't built from the keyboard up for VR, so it's gonna take some time and a lot of work by the Eagle Dynamics Team and the dedicated DCS World fans to get to where we'd all like DCS + VR to be.

Stutters If your Using the HTC Vive read this page, http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=139912&page=107 Basically it seems the Steam app, and also a background services presumably having to do with HTC's e-shop, and/or Steam VR do not seem play well with DCS World (go figure, as DCS is available on Steam...:noexpression:) I just turn them all off when activating DCS World. The HTC Vive's equivalent to OR's ATW is "Allow Reprojection", and it works very well. It basically kick's in when the fps drops to 45fps. One thing I've noticed, is cockpit shadows have a very hard hit on fps, as it keeps the fps in the Reprojection (or ATW) range most of the time, which is a shame as I really love the cockpit shadows. If you'd like a to see a good example of how the "Allow Reprojection" works, fly the "Flight Over Tbilisi" mission with the cockpit shadows on. I'm flying with 1.5.3 Stable using these setting and getting good results, mostly 90fps and I'd say 98% to 100% jutter/stutter free. and that's over cities. Textures = Medium Terrain Textures = Low Civ. Traffic = Low (although I haven't seen any yet) Water = Low Heat Blur = OFF Shadows = OFF *N/A *N/A *N/A Res. of Cockpit Displays = 256 MSAA = 8x HDR = ON (don't know is it really does anything in VR) Depth of Field = OFF Lens Effects = NONE Clutter/Grass = 0 (haven't really played with it yet) Tress Visibility = 1500 (haven't really played with it yet) Preload Radius = 150 (played with it, but not quite understanding how it really works and effects DCS World in VR yet) Anisotropic Filtering = 4x Flat Terrain Shadows = OFF Disable Aero Interface = Checked

  13. Another tip I've noticed, sometimes a short pause between the recipient class and the command, for example, ATC Options. If I just stay "ATC Option", I'll get the main comm options menu, but if I say "ATC" (then about a 1.5 second pause or so) and then "options" then I'll successfully get the ATC Options menu. Also, if you can have your Voice Attack widow up and viewable, you can see how Voice Attack/Windows is interpreting your words real time. And you can train Windows10 to interpret certain individual words you and Windows10 maybe having difficulty with. For me the word "Chief" Windows10 just couldn't get until I did this. All Apps>Windows Ease of Access>Windows Speech Recognition>Right Click on the Windows Speech Recognition Tool>Select "Open the Speech Dictionary">Change existing words> Select ether "Add a new word" or "Edit a word" as appropriate, and follow the directions. VoiceAttack problem [solved] Just a heads up, If your wanting to use Vaicom, which uses VoiceAttack, and your having a problem with VoiceAttack not seeing your recording device in the VoiceAttack voice "level bar", and your sure your recording device is configured and working, several others have had this problem also. I, and several other have solved it by exiting a program called Sonic Suite 2, in the Windows task bar (the lower right windows task bar).
