Same question as Midnightzulu, I try to use SimpleRadio, what frequency (I fly in F-5E) should I set to contact other human "blue" players ?

I think external views on friendlies is great. F2 on one's own aircraft too, for "beauty viewing" during ferry flying to combat zone.

Look at the online servers now: 99% of them have stupid mixed planesets, without real objectives and without correct tactical placement of ground units on the map. I would love to see this finish on a real Mirage, because on an artistic point of view, it's very talently done. If I was a Mirage2000 squadron leader, you would get immediately a mail from me. This aircraft would so be the best real Mirage 2000 with a special finish. But in DCS, nope. DCS is supposed to be a SIMULATION and so much talent (I repeat, the skin is artistically great) could be better used to make real world liveries.

All this will be forgotten when we get a Tempest and, why not, a P-47M.

In fact, I don't know much on WWII aviation history. I didn't know that the Mustangs never or only rarely met in combat Lufwaffe 109G's. Was the 109G a rare fighter or some kind of prototype ? I learnt also today that the P-40 was one of the main USAAF escort fighters over Europe.

Replace the late-war K-4 with a G-6. Case closed.

PS: I forgot, this excellent French DCS reviewer also praises your F-5E, except for the skins, which are not in his opinion at the level of the other aspects of your model: (on the contrary, he's wrong on the cockpit textures which are spot on, especially the yellow-green protective coat.

Hi, I've just bought your F-5E and it's amazing. I love the sens of speeed in it, its very convincing flight modeling, its cockpit (I feel immediately at home in it, I had the chance to make two flights in an F-5F long ago). Congrats, top job. But, I have a little "but" about the F-5E: its skins. Often, I take the DCS Su-25 or the Su-27 just to fly them with external views just to look at their amazing skins, especially to look how the light reflects itself on their matte finishes. Or I take your F-86F just to look too how the light reflect itself also on the natural metal surfaces of the Sabre. Just amazing, the Sabre metallic skins are one of the best things to look at in DCS. But I've not this sensation of reality with the F-5E when looked in external views. The F-5E standard two-tones grey camo is very matte, but it does not look almost real at all like for instance with the Su-25: externaly, the F-5E looks flat. Also, the grey painting of the F-5E can look very grey or to get somehow blue in real life according to the kind of sunlight it receives. Exactly like what happens on your DCS Sabre when the light changes on its natural-metal finish. No such thing with the F-5E, it looks flat too about this aspect. I've also the DCS Spit. Looking at its wing from the cockpit is amazing, because all the panels look almost real, no such thing with the F-5E wings, when seen from the cockpit, they look flat. In fact, it just seems that something is wrong with the skins shaders of the F-5E or that one or two shaders are missing. Could you have a look at the shading of the F-5E for a future update, so that it could look as beautiful as your Sabre ? It would be marvellous. PS: I know quite well the Tiger. I see them flying a few kilometers from my home almost every day and I even made long ago the Verlinden Lock On on the Tiger.

Installed the Mission Coalition mod with JGSME. Of course, it didn't work, don't see any new button at the bottom. Usual business. I just wanted to fly online fast with a Swiss skin. I ended to waste my evening through folders and additionnal softwares. Quick question: is it possible to choose my skin for online playing ?

Hé, hé, now I've found how to change the weapons configs, but in spite Switzerland is choosen, I've no more access to the Swiss skins. The missions configuration looks like a very funny thing ;-)

Ok, in this peculiar mission, the F-5E appears as a Swiss one, but on the other missions, not. How can I make this Swiss skins as defaut for all missions. Also online, I would like this skin as defaut, but I don't know how. Other problem, in the mission editor, I can only choose configurations with three tanks and two Siwas, configs which were almost never used. How can I choose another configuration, for instance two Siwas and only one belly tank ?

Ah nice, I've saved my mission with "Swizerland" on blue side on the "quick start mission" and now I've no more aircraft, I just appear over the base :-( Is it possible to get back this mission file somewhere ?

When I click "generate mission", I get a map full of Hornets, but impossible to find my F-5E. When I choose "new mission", I choose "modern" and I get Australia against Abkazia (God, why all these funky planesets), so I take "Swizerland" to the blue side, but I can only get a "group of aircrafts", but not my single aircraft. God, I may be dumb, but why make it so complicated. I remember the good old time of Il2, a copy-past in a folder and "voilà", done.

Hi all, Just bought the F-5E, very excited, immediately trying to put a Swiss skin on my F-5E in the mission editor, but I can get only strange arcadish options for Georgian (!) or Turkish F-5E's (!). So probably a stupid question, but how to put a Swiss skin on my F-5E by defaut, as Swizerland is not listed in the available countries ? Thanks for the infos.
