I'm just asking myself if we don't have such colors in our sims because of technical problems or if it is some kind of "artistic" choice of the dev teams (remember Oleg and his strange "greens", be sure).

In fact, I was talking of the "Spamrams" style modern missiles, not the Cold War missiles I would enjoy a lot, especially in a Vietnam war contest.

May you allow me to answer this question in the opposite way: what do I dislike in modern aircrafts over the older ones? The fact that the missiles do the job alone (ok, almost alone) making the air combat more an "intellectual" abstract thing than a physical direct contact.

I did recently a simple reinstall: one activation lost for all modules !

Isn't it too early to discuss combat tactics with the Spit IX, as now it is opposed to later aircrafts ? Of course, it will change when the G-6 and the A-5 are in the game.

Very nice, but the red ejection triangle is too small. The one of the PS Tiger has the perfect size. Btw, very nice work on the tail markings !!!

Another update on this subject ;-) Had a pc crash on W7. Reinstalled all with W10. And now even on medium settings, the Tiger is amazing outside even at medium settings, reflections, panels surfaces, everything ok !!! I should have been some graphic problem with my latest install ???

Update on this subject. Yesterday, I flew the Tiger offline with the Swiss skin and a nice light setting: amazing. I flew also on an online server which allows external views. I had the "Black 25" skin: amazing. In fact, I made the mistake, for my first flights with the F-5E, to load a non-official skin which was "so-so" and to look at it on a server blocked at 1200 in summer, what gives a rather crude light (all the landscape photographers know that light is just crude at 1200). Lesson to me: wait a few days before posting an opinion. To the moderation: you can even delete this thread, once everybody has seen that I was wrong. And congrats to the dev team: the F-5E is amazing on all points of views !

When this server is down, two consequences: 1: the only server with a realistic planeset is gone. 2: no more servers for the F-5E !

Once again. These skins are amazingly done. But there are so many REAL and AMAZING skins for the F-5E which are just waiting to be done. A question. For instance, do you want a flyable Starlifter in DCS, or do you want a flyable Starfighter in DCS ?
