I had the same problem with my warthog when I first got the l-39. Everything was fine in quick missions but could not get the throttle to move for ramp start.I fixed it by mapping this.
This worked - many thanks to both of you chaps!

Hi All,
I am having a funny issue - I go through the startup process however when I hit the engine starter button, nothing happens. Used to work (though not every time) before the latest update (3).
I've went through the startup guides and tried them all..
The throttle does not move when starting from the ramp and I can't get it to the idle position - tried changing the key bindings but to no avail - happens both single and multiplayer, if the plane is set to Player or Client.
If I do a start in the air, the throttle moves just fine.
I also tried the autostart - and it failed - see attachment.
Tried repairing the open beta install and also renaming the dcs.openbeta folder in saved games - no change.
I am using Saitek X-52 without the saitek software (using joy2key) on windows 10.
Other modules seem fine.
Any ideas?

I have the same 'dead cockpit' issue with the 1.2.12 OB. Did not have time to repair / re-install but will try that tonight.

Short answer is fly higher - 7-8-9-10000+ m and do not use the afterburner much.
There are some details in the manual describing best cruise speed/alt and also best endurance.

Now we are talking :) The Me-109 flew in my country's colors (E & G not K though) so I am super excited about it and feel it closer to my heart than the other modules available right now.. The months will pass quickly!

My X52 (non-pro) works just fine as well with no special tweaks regarding throttle and twist.

Love it so far:
Minor issues with Jester UI - not fully responsive at times or accepting the selection with a few seconds of a delay.
Also a bit confused with the stick behaviour while trimming on the ground - a couple of clicks for nose-down trim causes the stick to go full forward, but no issues trimming while flying. This could just be setup related or a thing to get used to.
