  1. Both puters have permit crash recover set to on. I crash before pressing escape and only get the option OK Cancel. In single player, I get recover option. Could it be because I am playing ver 1.02?

  3. I made a simple h2h mission with 2 fighters to plan on lan. This way we can get used to flying against real pilots instead of ai before trying it online. As soon as one of us is shot down or more often, flies into the ground, we have to restart the whole mission. Is there a way to make the mission so that you can just get back into the game quickly?
  4. It took me a lot of trial and error. This is how I did it. I used only rotation and movement. figure out the best way to attach parts and which parts will only look attached. Example, my front gear is not actually attached to the cylinder. The piston is attached to the cylinder. The cylinder is attached to the door. The door is rotated and the piston/cylinder move with it. Then do a separate event, Aas you move the slider a little at a time, the gear/door rotates and you can position the piston where you want it. I think you can do both a rotation and a movement in the same argument, but you can not have two rotations or two movements. You can have two with the same number but you need to have a different name. Event 1 Arg 0 Gear rotating up/down (rotate) Event 2 Arg 0 Door opening (rotate) Event 3 Arg 0 Piston moving (movement)
  5. I find it hard to believe that no one here knew the answer. I'm not that bright and I figured it out.

  7. No UVW "UVW Unwrap". Just applied UVW map, selected images from internet or other game's skins and moved map around to fit.

  9. Isn't that the stock F-14 from the Game? Anyway, you guys had me wondering all night about the poly count issue and why you would think it looked like a low poly model when it has so many. So I did some checking and you are right. All body surfaces parts, fusalage, wings canopy etc. are only 7K. Everything else, crew, landing gear is 60K. The pilot's face, just the little part between the visor and oxigen mask is 11K. The two back tires/wheels are 9K.
  10. Trainer mod. Unfortunately having the third person in game causes the instructor(back seat to not have any input). Still, it is fun to have my kid riding with me, lol.
  11. No problem, my friend. Actually it's all in the texture mapping that makes it look good or bad, I think. I have seen very low poly models that had such a great skin that they looked like they had a 100k polys.
  12. 2 or 3k? The pilot's face is 11k, lol. Total is over 50k.
  13. Ya, I see a hole along the wing edge too. I was so concerned with the animations that I missed those. So other than the crappy texture mapping, what would I change about the pilots? Thanks guys for the input.
  14. As far as I know, this mod will NOT work with FC. It is not really hard to run multiple versions of LockOn though. You can get the mod at Lockonfiles.com.

  16. Just wanted to say a Big Thank You. This is my favorite mod. My son and I spent the better part of Sunday just flying around, taking turns on the controls. I can not even imagine the work that went into this. I have seen many flight sim mods that at first someone was quick to say could not be done. Then another person spends the time and effort to figure out how it can be done. :) A few obsevations and by no means criticisms. The exterior underside view looks like a cockpit/canopy. I actually saw a photo online of a real fighter that was painted like that. It was supposed to mess with the enemy's mind. As can be seen in the second screen shot, it looks like a helmet is visiable. There was one time where the helmet was a bit larger and moved around, but it only happened once and we could not duplicate it. It was cool though. This mod has motivated me to want to make a US dual seater. Thank you much!
  17. When flying the AI planes, can you actually launch missiles or just fly around? Is it possible to take pylons and weapons from one plane to another?
  18. Exactly what must be done? I created a basic shape(box), uv and applied a texture. Then exported it as lom. Replaced Su-33.lom and made a su-33.skins file. But I still get the invisible plane in game.
  19. I can not get anything to show up in game. I made a basic box, with a texture bmp and replaced the su-33. All I get is an invisiable plane.
  20. Ok, try this. Rename the F-18c.lom to SU-33.lom and F-18a.skins to SU-33.skins. It worked for me. Different combinations give strange results. I even got one F-18 to show with a transparent skin.
