Check your devices in Oculus. If no red ! then re-run the sensor setup. This is what the simracing forum suggested for same issue.

Most likely because you're talking about CRT monitors that didn't have pixels.

Thanks for taking the time to post your feedback. Now I know I'm not crazy :joystick:. It's great there's more headsets coming out. Really want VR to prosper despite the naysayers.

Well supersampling will make it look better regardless. However, if you can get away with 1.0 PD that's going to be better performance for sure.

Be interesting to see some FPS counters to see how the extra resolution x 1.5 PD will hurt performance.

There's also the LG VR headset coming out. The WMR experience really led me to want to stick with SteamVR or Oculus home headsets. Pimax 4k wasn't what was promised, but I'm hoping the 8k delivers.

I'm kicking myself for not jumping on the KS for Pimax. I opted for the Odyssey but felt those funds were better used elsewhere for a bigger jump in tech and returned it. Oh well. :doh:

You can open performance in Task Manager and see if you're pegging out CPU or Video. That and check your temperature of the cpu/mem/video card. I started having the same problem but in another game. Where you move your head left to right it ghosts and judders. I ran full fans which alleviated the issue. I had this start happening only about a week ago.

I had Steam Beta key from MS. I wouldn't do a comparison that was "worthless" and post about it. Like I've said previously people should try it. I'm sharing my experience. I wouldn't be so quick to attack others because they don't fit your narrative.

Yeah I think the Lenovo is a fantastic deal. If the Lenovo had the same screen I'd order one to try. For me it was the whole package. I'm really hoping Primax 5k is good or the LG headset.

Perhaps it was my IPD. I was extremely frustrated and DCS was my last test while I was already sure I was going to return it. I used my measured IPD but I would give them a second visit. Now if only the Lenovo had the same screen as the Odyssey I'd order it to try.

The lenses is what makes the biggest difference. Look at the Vive and the Rift. The rift has less SDE/better sweet spot but less FOV because of the lenses. Look I'm advocating people try the Odyssey but I didn't find it much better so I returned it. I didn't like the bulk of the Odyssey it's really heavy and I didn't find it comfortable. Plus I really didn't like the Microsoft MR software. I had ordered it from MS and when I saw it wasn't better for what it cost I returned it. The screens do look better (colors, fov less binocular) but I couldn't make out the gauges as good as the rift. What it did do is convince me to just get a SteamVR headset and do away with the additional stores/platforms. Hopefully LG's is around the corner. I'm not looking to get into flame wars here over cheap hardware so if this goes south like the other thread I'm not replying.

Usually SteamVR interprets the resolution of the headset and pumps it out directly to the hardware. I've never seen the ability to downscale resolution in the headset. There's the ability to supersample but not the reverse. Look I'd love for the Odyssey to look better because VR really bums me out with the low fidelity.

SDE is same as the Rift I have. I had the Odyssey and returned it as it didn't feel like an upgrade for the extra $. Plus the thing was too big/bulky and the audio was not so great. It works fine in DCS, but I couldn't read the text as clearly as I could in the Rift. (yes I adjusted IPD)

I had the Odyssey for a few days and returned it. I couldn't read gauges as clearly as i could with the rift in DCS. The perceived FOV seemed better though. I set the IPD as well. I was overly frustrated with the quality of the odyssey and my Rift works fine. So I'd love to hear maybe I should have fiddled with it more and that YMMV.

They're going to change the name of the game to DTS soon with all the Trainer aircraft we have.

I'd love the Mig-23 over the Viggen/Tornado suggestions. I'll take the Blue pill.

My issue is I am holding off until they announce to get the Mirage as RAZBAM is unqualified and Leatherneck has shown themselves with the Mig to be AAA quality modules. For me I don't need a trailer or fancy screen shots. Just a post on the forum.
