  1. Have you guys tried against Player Pilots?

     

    AI Pilots can compensate damage far better than Player Pilots can. I literally shot a Su-27 with an AIM-9 and he lost all Ailerons and a Rudder and still manage to dogfight against me.

     

    Whereas in an Online Match - I've literally tapped a player with cannons on his elevator and he flipped and lost control almost instantly.

     

    Yes I have and it got the same results I shot a 1-2 sec burst on him he's still fine even tho all the bullets hit.

     

    It can still happen that they die in that burst but doesn't happen that often

  2. Be aware that firing in pursuit mode, the range decreases considerably. The missile burns all its fuel in 8 seconds, afterwards it is traveling by pure inertia and slows down due to atmospheric friction.

     

    Yes exactly and problem is that the "Pure inertia" and "atmospheric friction" values are way to high

     

    I fire off my missile and I see it going for couple of seconds and after it's 4 km in front of me the missile looks just like it stops in dead air and I overtake it.

     

    And after I overtake it, it explodes of to my sides

     

    I just don't believe that missile without engine going at 4 kph can slow down to 1 kph in couple of seconds and then fall from the sky

  3. Sustained & instantanous turn rate tested, both are way too low compared to real life values.

     

    Dunno how you managed to get too high figures GGTharos...

     

    Have you tried turing off the FBW spin switch?

     

    You can do some crazy turns with that

  4. Here is a fixed 'device_init.lua' file that will get the kneeboard working in the Mirage.

     

     

    For the OpenAlpha:

    Place it in your '...\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenAlpha\Mods\aircraft\M-2000C\Cockpit' directory and overwrite the original 'device_init.lua'. (Make a backup copy first).

     

    For the OpenAlpha:

    Place it in your '...\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World 2 OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\M-2000C\Cockpit' directory and overwrite the original 'device_init.lua'. (Make a backup copy first).

     

    It says "For the OpenAlpha" on both but you probably meant OpenBeta

  5. I agree guns seam weak for 30mm I've had couple of duels with the guns and while sometimes they can blow a wing off if hit in proper place most of the time it does singicifantly lower damage then expected.

     

    Maybe it shouldn't do the same damage as SU-27 30mm sure but not this weak they feel off and watching that mirage gun camera video it doesn't represent mirage guns in DCS

  6. Will the chaff susceptibility be modified by ED? Must it always be that releasing enough chaff will 100% spoof a SARH missile? I would hate for the 530D to be neutered as the (E)R has become.

     

    I think we gonna see some improvements down the road but I don't think they gonna come soon-ish.

     

    I do hope for that tho

  7. The "Police du Ciel" (Air Police) is an interception mode in which you do not have weapons but allows you to intercept a contact in order to make visual identification.

     

    It also works with the "Police Seachlight", a searchlight on the left of the airframe that allows you to identify aircrafts in the dark.

     

    It turns you into an air marshall. :)

  8. Missile FM are done by ED. We can request changes but they always asks for hard data before consideration. We had to dig a lot and do a lot of computing to get something they could work with.

     

    As you understand Matra remains quite silent when people ask them about their products. ;)

     

    I see, well I guess I'll get used to using S530's to make the enemy go defensive and kill it with a magic or guns I suppose

     

    For now or whatever guess we'll see : P

  9. I posted this in another thread a long time ago:

     

    The S530D speed/range changes with altitude.

     

    At sea level, it is slow and its max range is about 10 nautical miles.

    At 40,000 feet MSL (and above) it reaches it max stated range of 23 nautical miles and it is very fast.

     

    It was designed to hit slow high flying nuclear bombers like the Tu-96 Bear.

    If you like, you can consider it the French version of the AIM-7 Sparrow.

     

    If I remember correctly it should have about 40% kill ratio, meaning that you usually shoot two to hit a single target.

     

    In DCS, it is highly susceptible to chaff "flooding" (the target starts dispensing chaff like crazy, creating a cloud of the thing) due to the built-in ECM mechanics (each chaff bundle has a specific probability of spoofing the missile and they stack on top of each other with each bundle released until you get 100% spoof probability).

     

    Are there any plans in improving this missile because it looks like it has a huge airbrake on it's tail once the fuel is out

  10. Everything is perfectible. :book: I'll check and make corrections (in due time though, remember that I must prioritize). :smartass:

     

    Radar TDC controls may be little slow when going left and right but i think I can live with it for now.

     

    What's bugging me the most is that I can't use Throttle up/down on the keyboard I wouild solve this my self I knew how but I'm afraid I don't have the necessary knowledge yet = (

     

    Pls make it high priority.

     

    And on a side note If you don't mind answering a question ... I know it might be little iffy but when can we expect to see some of these fixes roll in?

     

    After new years or sooner/later or are you guys already hard at work?

  11. I mapped them as buttons

     

    On joystick axies it works too, but my axies is brocken, so i had to map them to buttons

     

    now my asigned or the default ones don't work

     

    Ah, I see well you're in problem bro

     

    ATM throttle up/down and steering the aircraft via keyboard is no go.

     

    It doesn't work atm until ether dev release a fix or someone else who knows how to do it

    Try using modifier + throttle/roll axies for rudder as a temp fix

  12. The roll rate was always 270 deg/sec and will keep on being that, what he's talking about is the actuation speed of the servos for the flight surfaces - i.e. the flight surfaces were moving too quickly, leading to a lack of inertia in rolls and an unrealistic feel to the FM.

     

    Smiley already knew about this and had it fixed long before the release internally, but a apparently a mistake was made for the release version with a wrongly placed decimal point resulting in servo speeds 10 times higher than normal :)

     

    Ya I understand it now I think this change will make the plane even more enjoyable to fly can't wait
