I may have watched the wrong YouTube video for getting the latest DLSS4 into DCS
. I used Nvidia inspector and DLSS Swapper. DLSS Swapper gives a “multiple DLLs” caution. In game, my regedit box shows that I only have DLSS patch C now, instead of J. Should I not use DLSS Swapper, assuming there is a better way to do it? Thanks for the help!

This may have been addressed, but I am confident that in the Hornet, the pilot can program the CM system on the ground. WoW system in DCS seems to prevent this.

Hi, the problem is as far as I know that the during the recording of the track, only the inputs you make are actually saved.
During the replay of the track the game is running as normal only with the inputs not read from your joystick but from the saved track file. That means of course if due to some timing problem (like you using time acceleration or HDD problems or so) one of the inputs you made is not properly read from the track file anything can happen. Is this understandable?
Okay, that makes sense. I was trying to view a mission from different camera angles, but I had accelerated through the beginning portion. Then my flight just descended into the drink.

I know this has been asked before, but is the issue of getting your A/I wingman/flight to turn on/off their lights? Flying the Harrier at night with a wingman is spooky, because he’s there, but you can’t see him. The Fence in/out command is gone, but would be nice.
It would at least be nice if they would have their formation lights on. Fix pls...

First off, I’m glad that we now have some missions for the Harrier! I tried the Night Carrier Protection mission and I would rename it the 'Enter the Black Hole';). I set the HUD to night mode, did the HUD reject; bringing the FLIR to the HUD, but still found myself using the sidewinder seeker as a radar!
Is their any way to get your wingmen to, at least, turn on their formation lights??:joystick:

Kinda my experience too, but I still carry a couple. It's fun to play cat & mouse with the SA-8's. After a lock, I fire, break, and then watch for the smoke. Then I come in real low with a gun run and really smoke it... I save the (2) Mav's for tanks... ;)
I know, right? I did the same mission today, and the SA hit the dish and blew the thing to bits... it was awesome! My issue is with the homing capability, I guess. Have you found a good formula for homing- like launch aspect or distance?

Hi all, I just downloaded the 2.5 map and went right to the Harrier. Preface: I did not do a lot of tweaking in the display settings yet. It seems that the MFD screens are significantly darker and harder to see, especially the TPOD and Maverick screens. Are any of you seeing this, and Is there a graphic setting adjustment that will help this?

I’ve had mixed luck with a SA 8 OSA that I set up for practice. 50% of the time it misses by several yards, or hits directly and nothing much happens, except for the driver spilling his vodka. The sidearms do seem kinda lame.

Wow
Runs fine for me, but every sim does. Good system, but I think it's because I use a single 1920x1080 monitor and no rift. Trackir is all I need.Buzz, good for you man! What kind of rig are you running? Any settings tips?
This looks like a really cool campaign, however, I realize that WWII campaigns will mostly operate closer to the ground, where GPU loads will be high. I’m hoping that DCS will figure out how to improve on this. :music_whistling:

I just sort of mastered it today. Auto throttle GOOD. Mapped increase/decrease to my hotas. I found that normal alt hold/roll hold is no good for refueling. The new feature, aerial refuel autopilot, is merely a dampener. The best way I can describe it, is that it trends the flight path to straight and level. I found it pretty easy to work with, after I stopped over controlling the stick. I would recommend engaging this mode at a slightly low aspect to the tanker, because it will raise you up some, when you engage it. Once again, relax your grip on the stick.
One caveat: if the tanker starts turning, this mode works against you. Kick it off, fall back and re engage after the tanker levels out.
One thing I found helpful, is to just fly behind the droge for a while. It’s free, and it will help you develop your sight picture.
Hope this helps. BTW, erjdriver, I’m an Airbus driver ;)

I just bought the Charnwood campaign DLC because the trailer and description looked really good. I tried to fly the first mission, but the frame rates were so bad, it was unplayable. I noticed that there is a radio/F10 option to reduce historical 'clutter', but I haven’t tried this yet. My rig is not super high end, but it does quite well with other modules. Has anyone else experienced this yet (I know it’s brand new)?:(

Simple question, simple discovery. I made the player slot part of the group of 4.
-
I've created a Normandy map mission with a group of B17s, an escort group of p51s (AI) and a player slot for a P51. The problem is that when flying the player P51, the comms menu doesn't offer the option to communicate with the other flights. I've uploaded a copy of the .miz file (NOTE: It contains the flakv3_4.lua file, which is working great!)
I'm guessing that this is a pretty simple thing that I have missed somewhere. :helpsmilie:

Phil, when I disabled the flak, the bombers stopped diving. Capt Orso suggested placing a waypoint command prior to have the bombers react passively to threats. I am now using the flak script, and it's awesome!
-
Set a task in you first waypoint to react to enemy attack to passive defense I believe it is.
I'll give that a try, thanks!

I've noticed that every now and then, the B17s will bomb, and then go into a mad dive after the waypoint.
I can't find any reason for this in my mission settings.
Anyone else observed this behaviour?
Any fixes?
Did you place a flak battery around the point where they dive? I found this out in my mission.

I have my waypoints set all at 12000 feet. Before my ingress waypoint, the formation dives down to about 1000 feet and completes the run. I changed the carpet bombing advanced waypoint altitude to 12000, so just before the formation reaches this waypoint, the formation breaks off and starts orbiting up to 12000 ft. I'm missing something here. Is there a maximum altitude at which you can perform carpet bombing, i.e., is this a function of spread?
UPDATE: I had a flak battery along the route prior to the bombing run. As soon as the formation flies over the flak, it begins a dive. I 'unarmed' the flak battery and now the formation maintains its altitude through the entire run. Huh.
So flak will cause the AI B 17s to dive...

Mine do this before the bombing run. I have all my altitudes set at 12000 ft. Haven't found an answer yet...

Have you guys noticed these funky jagged shadowing on the inside of the canopy frames? Glad to know it's not just me....

Thanks!

Guys, when I click on Mission Editor on the 2.1 home screen, this only brings up the Nevada map. The only way I can open the Normandy map, is to open a mission. Am I missing something?:(

Turns out, they are there. I have to hide and then unhide the serial numbers

I just updated DCS 2.1 and all my activations have disappeared. No keys. DCS 1.5 still has all activations. How do I fix this?
