  1. Hi all, I just uploaded a new version with 2 new missions (see the first post for download). The first of the new missions is a twist on the classic "The Circus is Open", and the second is an original mission less intense. I'm still working through the mainline of the campaign and I'm very interested to have any feedback.
  2. Hi all, I've started reworking the Stillness in Time campaign. I've played the original a few times and I've also played through this edit of the campaign. I quite like the premise of the campaign, but some aspects of it I always found strange, so here's my chance to fix them! Consistent nationalities / equipment AWACS/GCI in metric, like the plane More gradual difficulty A more in-depth story line Relate missions to one another better More dire consequences to air-space transgressions I've only made the first two missions for now, the transit to Kutaisi followed by the usual recon aircraft intercept. I thought I'd start sharing it early to get some feedback. Some of the changes I've made from the original: Player camp equipment is Russian Northeria sports US equipment Moved campaign back in time to 1970s Cap Southeria tech to MiG-23, MiG-25 Cap Northeria tech to F-5, F-4 Here's some of what's left to do: Fix scoring (successful intercept only yielded 30 points instead of 100?) Implement mainline missions Implement second line missions (lower score for each stage) Edit 27th April 2020: New version of the campaign including 2 additional missions: The Circus is Open Coast Guard Stillness in time Reloaded.zip
  3. Hi all, I've started porting the Mig-21's campaign "Stillness in Time" to the F5. So far I've had to do quite a few changes as the F5 isn't the same type of aircraft as the MiG and I plan to make more changes. I've only ported the first 4 stages of the campaign and I'm still struggling to balance the campaign and try to get a story line through it all. I've attached a zip of the first 4 stages of the campaign and I'd like some feedback from better pilots than me as to the difficulty of the missions (too easy? too hard?). Thanks for the feedback and have fun! F5_STILLNESS_IN_TIME.zip
  4. Thanks for the ideas Proctoron. I think I'll use some of them. About the MiGs, I thought of using them as an overwhelming threat, to get the player to do certain things or play in certain ways (be sneaky, fly low etc.). I don't think the L-39 has much of a chance against them indeed. I like your idea of a wingman. I think there's potential to make a mission so you can actually find / rescue him. Yes you're quite right about having messages that make the missions feel more immersive. I'll try to do more of that in future missions.
  5. New mission in the Guerilla campaign Hi all, I'm pleased to release a new mission in this little campaign for the L-39 ZA. In this mission, your band of resistants have spotted a juicy supplies depot at a nearby airport setting it up into an airbase. So you go with a few bombs to soften up the invading bastards before your comrades can snatch up their weapons for the good cause. Let me know what you think! 6. Hi all, I'm slowly making a campaign for the L-39ZA. The campaign takes place on the Georgia map and the situation is as follows: You're a fighter pilot in training and have fled with some of your comrades to Beslan as a neighbouring country overran yours. From there, and with the help of the locals who are hostile to the invaders, you will go on a guerilla campaign to try and undermine the invader's hold on your motherland. The first mission is an "assassination"; intel that a high ranking official was flying nearby reached you and you decided to shoot him down. It's a very easy mission which should be beginner friendly and still serve to start the story. The context is interesting as you are strapped for resources and so only have guns to shoot him down. I plan to add some supply, escort, sabotage missions. I'm still not sure what I should pit against the L-39 considering that it isn't a match for most fighters, maybe the MiG-21. Let me know your thoughts! Thanks Assassination Supplies attack Guerilla - Mission 1 - Assassination.miz
  7. - your location: UK - your native language: French - other fluently spoken languages: English - have an accent, which one: French (north of France), probably some English accent too as I've lived in the UK for a long time. - experience as voice actor & recording equipment: No prior experience - kind of voice: medium, not great at articulating (but can make the effort) :)
  8. Hi Apache600, Thanks a lot for your feedback! I've used your suggestions to improve the mission and have attached an update. I added a little map and a picture of the objective to help the player spot them. I also added a description of the target's location in the briefing. I had no trouble spotting them, but then I know exactly where they are so it might still need improvement :D Although I've made the victory conditions a bit easier (only 3 out of 4 GRADs destroyed), I decided against displaying a "Good work" message, as I think a real pilot would need to assess whether the damage is sufficient by themselves. 9. Hi all, Attached is my very first mission made public. In this scenario, the Georgian ground forces have pushed through Adler during the early morning, taking advantage of bad weather to escape air attacks. The airfield has been evacuated since the attack started and you and your wingman are the last two aircraft to leave. Mobile artillery units have been spotted by our troops on the ground, and you need to take them out to buy time before making your way and land in Maykop. I think the mission is fairly easy, there's no enemy air units, and the enemy's mobile AA is quite limited. Please let me know what you think and how I can improve! 10. Thanks a lot MBot! I've udpated the debriefing script so that it outputs the next mission's weather and parameters around the top of the debriefing window. I've attached the resulting file if anyone is interested. DC_Guardians of the Caucasus.miz
  11. I'd like to edit the lua scripts to have the next mission's time and weather on the top of the debriefing screen, because that's what I care most about for the next run. However I don't know how to edit them and I can't see them in the mission editor. I'm quite new to this, can one of you guys tell me where I can find the lua files?
