  1. Good news! Reopening these missions while contemplating making a similar generator myself, I found no fps lag in what was previously a completely useless mission. I'll encourage people to give these a try once more, as the concept is still awesome, although by now it would be great fun to actually have a generator and use it for some of the newer aircrafts.. back to flying!
  2. Recently got into this campaign, and since I'm on 7 now, I can provide a little further feedback. Like other here, I had my initial struggles with the precision required for missions 1 & 2, despite having flown the Albatros for some time.. The lessons however quickly taught me to control this little plane accurately, and I now find myself doing said procedures, even outside the campaign :D You'll learn a lot from this campaign, and I find the voice acting very decent and you are rarely left lost and without feedback when you deviate from the flightplan. Minor spoiler: My one caveat is that the attack parameters for the various weapons does not completely match the manual. Especially the initial bomb is significantly different as it calls for a low-level level-bombing setup, and the later dive-bombing also requires different sight setup and attitude compared to what is described in the manual. Not very different, but just enough to notice, if you've practiced the manuevers from the manual. 9/10 Would purchase again :pilotfly:
  3. I like this concept immensely, but in 2.5 I'm getting consistently horrible framerates. like 4-5. Usually in the various instant action missions and SP mode in generaly I rarely go below 50, which I only get in the interesting mission if I pause. So I figure AI planes mess it up, and I edit the mission and delete planegroups which I'm unlikely to encounter (say planes in russia during a georgia cross-country). This helps completely, but it takes away from the "interesting" bit, by having seen the mission in ME before flight... For me I tried both l-39 variants, TF-51 and F86, and fps is a problem on all. I hope you can make a few new sets with less AI flights, or maybe there is some other solution to the problem :)
  4. I looked deeper into it, and you are sadly not wrong. And even worse , after figuring this out, I see Lino has already implemented the 4 map-based RSBN beacons (small box on the airfields) and PRMG (as blue hex icons), and the yellow hexed nurmber are Mig21bis only rsbn stations. I suppose you should disregard my messages entirely, if only the description in the map legend could be improved to note on which planes the different RSBN codes apply. This would be Mig21 for the yellow hex, which denotes RSBN and PRMG. And for l-39c/za (others ? ) use the map beacons which has seperate notation for RSBN and PRMG.
  5. This is the case for l-39, However it seems the "old" rsbn stations are still active for the Mig 21  These are the only two rsbn capable aircraft I have, but this needs a little looking in to..
  6. I noticed a changed in RSBN/PRMG station with 2.5 cacasus.. However I haven't seen any changelog or notice of this. I fact, only 4 airports remain with RSBN stations, and the PRMG station is now offset from the RSBN. For help I extracted from beacons.yml: Mozdok rsbn:20 prmg:22 Krymsk rsbn:28 prmg:26 Maykop rsbn:34 prmg:36 Krasnodar-C rsbn:40 prgm:38 I hope this helps with updating, certainly make navigating russian aircraft rely more on ARC/Beacon radio.
  7. This has been fixed with 1.5.3 update 5 :-) Sadly a new map bug has taken its place, but there was a few good weeks where everything worked ..
  8. This works for me aswell, however this puts the radio and other messages in the far corners, and not in the corners of the center monitor. This is bad for me, since I have different resolutions and "blind" corners where the text go... Resolutions aside, the error is such that if you define UIMainView as a subsection of your screen, it produces a visual error on the menus (and map). Its not really related to multimonitor setups, its just rare to see a single monitor setup with this need :)
