DCS always showcase there aircraft and scenery updates with busy airfields and airspace. I would quite happily pay for a 1.5 and 2.0 Busy Airfields and Airspace Campaign. No combat missions just a busy environment to fly and train in would this be very difficult to create ?
-
I wish ED would charge us for DCS World as it is such a great product...then it could be funded, planned and staffed appropriately to meet targets on/near time along with all its other projects. The whole problem here for all the delays is that they give it away !
-
Product specification gets better and better.....release date slips further and further away.........
-
Thanks guys for clearing this one up.....great work, great update.
-
I assuming that the F10 Map view is aligned to True North.
-
Thanks for your reply...my problem was in 2.0.3 instant action take off mission.....lined up on runway 03 but HUD Heading tape is showing 167 degrees. pressing the HSI button gets me 40 degrees...ish. In 1.5 same mission all nicely aligned.
-
HUD Heading tape in the latest 2.0.3 is still not fixed seems to be 100 degrees out approx.
-
That seems like a lot of correction for a 5 Knot crosswind (2m/s).....not an expert by any means so will bow to your expertise. Plane handles superbly now when in the air.
-
Hey Cpt Smiley......still going left in default instant action take-off mission in 2.0 after today's update.
-
I can resolve this problem in the default 2.0.3 take off mission in the mission editor by changing the 10m crosswind to a direct head wind...but in reality I suspect the real plane would not be so sensitive to a mild cross wind. In the early 1.5 releases changing the load out to clean also had an effect.
-
Has Capt.Smiley got anything to say on this.....he spent a lot of time and effort resolving this in 1.5......does the relevant 1.5 code transfer directly over to 2.0.3 ?....at this point I would think it does not because they are very different beasts(for me) heading down the runway at the moment. As mentioned previously this problem could once be cured by simply changing to a clean configuration or changing wind direction and then it went straight as a die. would be nice to get this fixed to 1.5.4 standard.
-
Tried re-arming and and makes no difference it still wants to go left around 50 Knots down the runway. This was pretty much corrected on 1.5.4.
-
Have just flown instant action cold start and take-off missions in 2.0.3 and have noticed that the severe drift to the left is still there. Mirage feels and seems to fly differently than in 1.5.4. Anyone else observed this ?
-
Not supersonic...happens on the ground as well. Never been able to get the M2k supersonic anyway.
-
Have a fault where when I go to external view all is fine but then when I rotate round the plane I lose all engine sound until I get to the rear of the plane where it just switches on instantly...not gradually as expected. The as I continue to pan around it switches off again.
-
Would that be to 1.5 or 2.0 ? :music_whistling:
-
What....3 weeks in a row. I'm reading something into it alright.
-
I do realize that...and they still manage to put out updates nearly every week. But its nearly a month since 2.0 was updated by ED to reflect these changes.
-
I am the other way...hardly use 2.0 now because the M2000C is way out of date. Shame there is no new third party launch coming...they would make time and update it then...e.g Gazelle.
-
No I just have a standard X-55 HOTAS....which works fine on latest 2.0 and 1.5.3 stable.
-
Certainly is frustrating..and I do understand your dilemma.....just that 1.5.3 and 2.0 are just fine at the moment.
-
Clean new mission, no wind, no loadout and all is OK. Any kind of load out and it wants to go left.....hope this gets sorted one day. Thanks Rlaxoxo....
-
M2000c drifting left again in instant action take-off mission....and not easily corrected. I see that the wind direction has now been changed in this mission from crosswind into a headwind, Not an issue last week in update 5.

Thanks Guys...pretty neat feature.
