Thanks for the tip to use the ME to fix the crosswind. The Mirage still needs to be sorted as it should not need max rudder all the way down the runway to correct this little bit of crosswind.
-
I have added a small dead zone and it makes no difference. This problem existed, for some, in 1.5 and 2.0 when you first released the M2000C. You fixed it in code by 1.5.3 update 3. Do 1.5.3 and 2.0.2 share identical flight model code because the instant action missions in 1.5.3 work fine and 2.0.2 do not. I posted the parameters that you said you changed to solve this problem in 1.5.3 in my previous post in this thread.
-
It does seem crosswinds are the issue....I set a clean mission MP with no winds and flys fine. So it cant cope with a crosswind on landing or take off....as you say something is not right.
-
1.5.3 beta works fine with no DB so why should it be different in 2.0.2 ? Extract from CS regarding the fix for 1.5.2 Here are the relevant items from the change list: -Update fuselage drag calculations -Update landing gear mass -Update NWS gain calculations -Update control authority of rudder -Fix NWS system pressure logic -Fix flight model shuddering on ground -Fix incorrect flight model tail airfoil shape Updated and increased braking power to correct values Updated anti-skid logic for much better landing, takeoff, and taxi control

Hi Cpt....sorry to be flippant but the issues here are identical to the ones that you already addressed over several updates on 1.5.3. and several threads already exist on this topic. On take off there is a violent pull ( 50k +) to the left that cannot properly addressed with opposite rudder....resulting in leaving the runway. On landing again going anywhere near the brakes results in a violent swerve to the r....again resolved in 1.5.3....before the brake chute arrived. I am using an X55 and all other modules work fine....apologies for the flippancy but been waiting to fly in 2.0 for over a month now and just about un-flyable. Also I cannot get the gear to map to joystick or work on the G key....only works clicking in the cockpit.
-
i understand cross winds but no issue in other modules....this problem has been fixed over several updates in 1.5......but does'nt look like its been addressed here....landing is just as funky. Will 1.5.3 settings not port over to 2.0 ?
-
Quick action take off.......gear up down mapping is porked as well.
-
Just updated to 2.0.2 and the Mirage STILL pulls violently to the left going down the runway. Waited for this update for a month now and this problem is STILL not fixed !!!...great progress in all other areas but please lets get the basics sorted....what use is it that I have to go down the runway with full right rudder and just manage to avoid going off the runway before lifting off....very disappointing.
-
So no update to 2.0 today then.
-
Hi....just noticed in latest 1.5.3 version that the plane will fly itself off the runway when I don't touch the stick....is this a realistic characteristic ?
-
Easter Update It would be very nice if 2.0 could be updated tomorrow for Easter....4 days of un-interrupted flying planned. 2.0 has not had any love for a while now.
-
Hey Captain Smiley...while you are looking at the landing issues in 1.5.3 update 1 please can you also look at the take off in 2.0.....plane still has this tendency to veer left. To be honest no matter what you do on the runway taking off, landing, braking, in all versions, the plane naturally wants to veer left for some reason. This issue was made much better, but not quite resolved, in 1.5.3 Stable...but the mods never seemed to make it to the last release of 2.0. Thanks for all your support.
-
Hi CE....not sure if you can update the 1.5.3 safe version with the open beta update...i dont think so. I have all 3 versions happily running side by side now as only way I could get the 1.5.3 update 1....pretty ridiculous situation but from what I have read it is the only way....good luck.
-
You have to go to the DCS download page and download and install a whole new version of DCS. DCS World 1.5 Open Beta is what you need. To keep up with the latest updates as soon as they are available you need to have 3 separate versions installed....crazy and confusing I know.
-
Hi thanks for the reply. I have the 1.5.3 stable and 2.0 installed. Latest mods for m2000 will probably not arrive in 2.0 for another 2 weeks assuming 1.5.3 stable is next for an update...as ED seem to go weekly. Frustration of this situation is easily remedied if they had put beta in the email. It seems that there is a core of us that eagerly await and make time on Friday evenings to break in the update...and ED are well aware of this.
-
So does anyone actually know if 1.5.3 stable version will be updated this weekend ? I got an email from ED telling me that it would be yesterday. Personally I am only interested in the aircraft mods, M2000 in particular. As mentioned before it would be pretty good if someone from ED could let us know WTF is going on. Have been following the Razbam team over the past few weeks breaking there necks to debug and add functionality to the Mirage....and most of us cannot get their fruits because of an ED bottle neck...must frustrate the hell out of those guys at Razbam. I fail to see why independent plane developers cant update their own code as long as it does not overwrite any of the base DCS source code and screw others up....FSX has allowed this to happen for decades!
-
At this moment No... Stable 1.5 has not been updated yet. Only the hardly used and not many people know about Open Beta version has been updated so far.
-
Touching the brakes at any speed usually spells disaster...I wish they would sort this...been too long now and not realistic...especially bad in 2.0
-
Take off in version 1.5.3 is now really stable with no dangerous tendency to swerve off the runway to the left...thanks for fixing CS. However after the latest patch to 2.0.1 it still swerves to the left on my set up during take off so please can you apply the 1.5.3 mods/characteristics to 2.0.1 update 2. Regarding landing....after touch down it is still a bit of a nightmare in both versions if you go anywhere near the brakes at any speed....normally resulting in a slide or a gear collapse off the runway. I can't believe this is any where near realistic and does not happen on any of the other planes.....so I would appreciate any tweeks to even up and stabilise the braking when landing. I know this may be trivial to most but I spend a lot of time and enjoy just practising touch and go's and very frustrating that you can't do the basic's on the Mirage without a struggle. Great product and great support....cheers.

Just updated to the latest 2.0.1 update 1 and the plane is still veering off to the left of the runway on take off. This was resolved on the 1.5.3 patch but does not seem to have made it through to 2.0.1 update....very disappointing....another 2 weeks wait just to be able to take off !!
-
In yesterday's 1.5.3 update this problem seems to have been fixed.....much better ground handling. Applying brakes on landing is still a bit tricky. Great patch thanks.
-
After the 1.5.3 patch today....it behaves itself beautifully. Thanks for the fix...this update is amazing....thanks.
-
I agree...gear does seem to collapse far too easily now since the last updates....heavy landing or not.
-
I also have this problem...its a very annoying bug that's been around for a while now in 1.5.2 and 2.0.1. I am using an X55 set up properly calibrated. No matter what I try, take off is just plain ridiculous and unrealistic and is ruining my experience with this fine machine. Landing is also crazy and any braking results in a ridiculous uncontrollable skid. No other DCS planes have this problem. I hope this will be sorted soon as its begining to grind now....please focus on the basics before sorting out the more complex stuff. I am finding the M2M M2000C in FSX flies better at the moment !!

Going to be like Christmas next week....2.0.2 and 1.5.3 released together !!!
