Actually i dont lose in the vertical. On the horizontal I cant follow. When I try to turn with the mig i die. so I dont agree with you. The Mig is turning much tighter than the F-5. On the vertical though i can stay out of line using the rudders. I never lose on the vertical. But as I said the main issue here is the visibility in the DCS. I die flyging straight because I dont see anything. many times i lose sight above the sea, the enemy plane just disappears. also the thrust to weight ratio depends to the fuel quantity. When I drop tanks and I burnt 20-30% of internal fuel, I have no problem climbing. this is what usually happens. I dtop tanks, and by the 2nd or 3rd loop, I have burnt already 20-30% of my fuel using afterburner.

The whole idea is about maintaining the planes energy. I dont turn with a Mig. I go veryival. To change direction i climb and turn to maintain my energy. Turning on the same altitude or losing altitude you lose energy which needs time to regain. I usually go vertical and only turn fight when im already at 6 o clock and i try to get a tone for the lock. The main problem is the small field of view of the missile, and another problem is the missile is not looking in to the gun reticle. The last thing, and the biggest problem, i can easily lose the target at very close range, when is flying above terrain and merges with the ground which is not realistic. DCS should at least try to implement the smart scaling the military simulators are using. I have tried everything to increase the contrast so i can spot the planes easier when im close but many times i lost site even at 1 mile. The target just simply disappears. This is the most important issue and a big drawback. Effects the whole fun of the sinulator. We are not supposed to stick our eyes on the screen. Its frustrating, and all the joy is gone. Falcon BMS doesnt have this issue and i hope DCS to do something about it now. I dont have a big monitor, i dont have VR headset but still i want to have fun. Thats my experience with the F-5. The dogfights Mig-21 vs F-5 can be the best part of the game if they resolve the visibility issue. People were exoecting BFM and real dogfights for years. Radar kills is not so much fun and doesnt take much skill. So far F-5E is by far my favourite plane and the F-5 vs Mig-21 the only event i enjoy.

same problem to me. The Radar lose all information when I try to lock a target. It happens at random times. Then I lose all awareness and i dont know who is in the area.

Same here. I tried everything. I cant get to export the Radar.

Guys do you know if it works for the DCS 2 alpha or just for the 1.5? I have tried everything but I cant get the M2000 Radar nor RWR. I do get the MFDs of other planes though.

I believe you but since it was my very first post, i didnt want my day spoiled for no reason. I didnt mean to insult abyone, im just careful. There are many people who really enjoy being bad in forums and i want to avoid them. Thanks for your reply, you are a good and glad to know you.

Ok guys done, its working now. I did one last thing. i manually changed the monitor resolution in case it was preventing the game from loading. It was my monitor settings, I had to change it manually from the config file. Im not sure why it couldnt load before but it loads now. The problem was the monitor settings and had to manually change it, there was no gui to change it from inside the game. So keep that in mind, in case someone else has the same problem.

Well ok first I have 2 icons, one for 1.5 one for 2. Then in start up I hve the same in 2 different dolders and then in the folders in my HD i also have the 2 different versions in the 2 different folder structrures. So I have tried everything to run the 1.5, all icons, and in the folder. I did run the repair command even in the command like, I did all the updates etc. So the 1.5 is not loading to the boot screen. Also thanks for replying and Im happy you are all nice people here. Honestly I was reluctant to make a post because I didnt know what kind of reaction i will get.

When I click on the 1.5 version, I get the message of updating etc, and the HD is loading and then stops loading. Thats it. I could run the 1.5 before to install 2 alpha. Now i can only run 2.

I have done this. Still nothing. I really tried everything, all the commands, I did a lot of research before to make this post. I knew if the issue was known many would jump to start insulting me like people do in the forums. Not you thankfully :) You are polite and nice

i double click on the 1.5 and doesnt load at all. I even tried the run executable in the DCS 1.5 folder. I need to find the reason. Thanks at least I know that its not a common issue.

The subject says it all. How can i run 1.5 after installing 2? I try to find a answer the past few days but I couldn't get a clear answer. I searched in the forum, in google, everywhere. I tried to get an answer, and I did my best so I decided to post in the forum in case anyone can point me to the answer. Reply only if you know and if you are nice. No sarcasm please, no bad manners and no bad attitude. I won't tolerate that, if you insult me I will insult you back. I play DCS since the first Su27 flanker by eagle dynamics back in 90s. I have all the series in the original packaging. I couldnt play DCS since became 64bit only, and only few days ago i returned. I had an old system and didn't want to spend money for upgrades. I'm not a spoiled child, I work and pay with my own money so until few days ago didn't upgrade my system. Thanks in advance and have a nice day guys.
