  1. Very frustrating... everytime I just finished my kneeboard, flew with it... sometimes shut everything down and then want to restart the program for a quick flight: crash. edit: moving everything that has been added out the the main directory and then just back in helps. But that cant be the solution.
  2. So I upgraded the basic Leap controller to the Pimax (double lenses) leap controller. Still a good idea, terrible implementation. While the original Leap software recognizes my hands and even the fingers quite accurate it totally fails in DCS. My right index and middle finger are twisted once I try to press ICP buttons / F16. I have to try it several times, hitting the wrong buttons and dropping me back to the beginning of the data input. While the index finger is at the correct spot, it just messes with the distortet middle finger. Last time I checked my original middle finger is pretty mainstream, it seems. So I think, since Leap software does it right, it's DCS messing it up. It's absolutely no use in using any of the side consoles, not even the MFS buttons. So I will put the thing to rest for another couple of years.
  3. Thank you. I currently use RSMapper and it works really fine.
  4. Thanks, I will test the DX keys.
  5. Just want to say "thank you" to Avantar and I hope he is well and will rejoin soon. This little program is amazing, works like a charm and eases things up so much!
  6. Any idea where this topic is? I found nothing so far. I can't get SV Mapper to work. It just sits there and I can't input any keys. I highlight the row, enter a key, nothing - I double click the button, it changes to yellow, I enter a key, nothing - I right click, no popup, nothing. In my frustration I hit like mad on my keyboard and suddenly there was a single entry. I couldn't reproduce, nothing. Started as admin, nothing. Solution: edit: one night later... double click the entry, it turn yellow, now mark the "key pressed" field, no mark, no indication that you just chose that field. Hit a key and voilà, there it is. Seems to work.
  7. One HOTAS Warthog throttle and the corresponding FLCS F16 together with two TM MFDs. DCS latest upgrade, F16 is the plane, running the HOTAS in virtual device mode / TARGET software running. Fyling in VR / Pimax 8KX. When I use Zoom and Spyglass in VR, which are designed as momentary, I defined the approbiate keys as "hold" in TARGET. "Press" doesn't work cause it just sends a short keypress to zoom in for a fraction and zoom to normal instantly. Normal behaviour, fine. While I hold down the HOTAS key to zoom in no other keys work apart mouse and joystick axis. Is there a workaround or am I doing something wrong?
  8. OMG... "stupid" questions for one stupid user... no! Despite I own a Pimax8KX I tend to set up the system in 2D. I just changed to 3D and... there it is! Thanks! Haha, that was really dumb. And ticking the arms box would have been the next issue, thanks too!
  9. Giving it another chance after a year or so. Installed Gemini 5.6.1, Leap is working fine, can see my hands in Gemini. Started DCS, latest update, Gemini running in the background, "settings" -> "special", found the Leap Motion entry, hit the check box and nothing. Red message "plug in device" or "device not found" (it's in german, so just a rough tranlation) Same w/o Gemini, still "plug in device". Changed USB port, no change. What am I doing wrong?
  10. The keyboard default.lua or the joystick's default.lua to edit? under DCS World\Config\Input\Aircrafts\Default or DCS World\Config\Input\Aircrafts\Common
  11. Hasn't anybody mapped his ATT Hold / ALT Hold to any TARGET switch? It just works with "hold" (on H2 for example) instead of pulse and it does not work with the APPAT and the corresponding 3 way switch. I'm getting mad.
  12. MF sends everything out... I managed to get keypresses into Word, Notepad etc with ease. No need to define anything. I remember from my old Falcon4 cockpit I used Xkeys back in 200x. Just sent keypresses and it worked.
  13. I'm getting nuts, tested 2 hrs, no success: I am talking about getting the autopilot pitch "Alt hold", "AP off", ATT Hold" 3 way switch to work with the Warthogs APPAT, APAH and APALT switch (the autopilot path, heading, alt switch). I am sending non modified, simple keys like a, t, r to the sim. Event tester gives the correct feedback. DCS recognizes it, i.e. I feed the keysettings with the keypresses from TARGET. a,t,r are routed to the controller settings. In the F16, sometimes "a" (autopilot off"), works, but I recognized that you have to hold the keys a second or so to move from fully down ATT HOLD to fully up ALT HOLD as the switch is pushed over 2 positions - in that one second. One keypress with the Warthog HOTAS does not work. Multi keypresses dont work neither. I simply dont get that damn Pitch AP to work. ROLL 2way switch works easily. Other switches work, just the Pitch...
  14. yes, I simply dont get it... MF folks say "it's DCS fault", DCS (the forum, tbh) say it's MF task. For me as a simple user it "get DCS to recognize keypresses from non.keyboards, simple!"
  15. Thanks, after a fast glimpse it looks like a lot of Python, I will dig through it a bit. But perhaps I just define an Arduino as a joystick. A shame all my MSFS gear is useless for DCS. Still I don't understand why MF's keypresses aren't recognized by DCS.
  16. Hello, using Mobiflight for MSFS and my homecockpit to quite an extensive degree I wondered why it does not seem to work with DCS. While MF uses FSUIPC and writes deep into the simulation it also is capable of just sending keys to, well, everywhere - they say over at their forum. Outputs don't work, but I don't need outputs for DCS, inputs are important for VR flying. DCS recognizes all my sticks, even the 3D mouse, but fails to accept key inputs from my mobiflight formatted Arduinos. Ok, I understand / accept that DCS might not recognize the (manipulated) boards, but as every other program (Word, Excel, games, browsers) gets the keys from the MF-Arduinos I wonder why DCS just refuses to do so. I got 2 keyboards attached, one is recognized (shows up in the controls section) and still both work. Anybody there who got Mobiflight working with DCS?
