  1. I’m glad they’re adding seeker bore sighting for realism, but I wouldn’t mind if this was a special option that we can enable or disable, sometimes I find it a bit tedious. Besides, do Mavericks lock onto anything but vehicles in DCS currently? Would make it hard to boresight.

They lock on to buildings as well currently.

  2. I am still waiting for anybody to provide a FLIGHT MANUAL Diagram that says Viper can safely go over 800 kts on the deck, Lockheed engineers don't spit on their fingers, rise them in the air and set the limit... they have their reasons... if you can't everything else is a hearsay and useless.

Who is saying it can go safely above 800 knots? It seems like you're arguing yourself

  3. I tested snowplow out some and it works fine for me. CCRP release data (SPI) correlates to the TGP when I exit snowplow wih a tms up or right.

My only issue is that the SPI reverts back to the selected steerpoint when you change master modes. IE switching to mrm override mode to scan the area causes the spi to revert to the steerpoint when you exit mrm override and go back to ground master mode.

  4. I don't think that striving for being exact in what is simulated is a silly idea. But I also like to have options. So if our Viper variant was technically capable of employing the TFR, I am all for it to include it.

I agree with this statement. With that said though, our viper should have the digital terrain system which offers coupled autopilot terrain following just like the lantirn pod. The only thing missing in that case is the flir nav camera... which was made obsolescent by nvgs.

  5. No lantirn nav pod but 16's did get an altitude map(Digital Terrain System) that kind of made the lantirn nav pod obsolescent, in addition to offering terrain and obstacle avoidance cues and passive bomb ranging like the A-10.

  6. You have crew chiefs in this thread telling you that they never loaded it and never trained to load it and you still want it? It’s a slippery slope to make concessions like that because when the next plane comes along people are going to look at the precedent you set and ask for an unrealistic configuration.

So don't load them on your jet.
