  1. Ребята у которых модуль - как там с изменениями? Что изменилось по сравнению с этим видео?

  3. Команда "Поднять Рычаг Шасси" в Системах не работает и имеет две записи в настройках.
  4. Just slap it on the front dashboard and use tape to fasten it. What's the problem? I never understood people who want LESS options. If you don't want it - don't switch it on in the game settings. Using radio for navigation is not a purist approach - use the stars like our stone age ancestors (it's called STARboard for a reason, Frank!) who flew without any of this TACAN shamanism, then again Yak-52 flew near known cities for flight training, not some Soviet backwater like Georgia where you have to have some sort of navigation.
  5. Two bindings for it in the settings, yet they don't work. The lever does not move up, only down. I'm talking about the "move lever down"/"mover lever up" keybids, not the "gear up" "gear down". Since I don't want to bind another button for the neutral lever position, I'd like to just move it up and down with buttons on my HOTAS. In fact, the whole of keybinds for Yak are a mess. ---- Does anyone know how I can change this setting in the config in the text file so that they work? I am a little rusty on config editing.
  6. So, VOR or VORTAC is esentially a TACAN, and these frequencies are for two beacons to discern your actual position and distance without the use of GPS? That's what the VLOC is for? The frequencies should be from the beacons on the map? WPTInt: "intersections can only be selected by their identifier" What does that even mean? What are intersections? I can chose the true vs magnetic north for determining the bearing to closest VOR? Where? ---- I'm not even half-way through the manual, and either I pressed something that greyed out most of the options or A LOT of this module is missing.
  7. As I'm reading the godawful English manual, I can't help but get lots of questions, so I wanted to post them here as I progress further: Com and VLOC What are they for exactly? What are the frequencies for? What are the standby ones for? Manual does not really describe them at all. Also, does anyone have a link to the Russian manual? Also, why can I not see the sea, except in Nav Terrain mode? In the manual it is shown, but my screen is all black with just landmarks. Refering to the default Nav page you get when you press CLR for 2 seconds. Also, on the WPTFreq page, the ENT button does not seem to assign the Tower frequency to VLOC, even after VLOC standby frequency is selected. According to the manual - it should. Why do some pages like WPTApr have ALL the items on the menu greyed out? When you press the menu button, you can't select anyting. On Waypoint Arrival page nothing can be selected, even if airports are changed. ARRIVAL, TRANS or RUNWAY cannot be modified and display NONE.
  8. Updater is "looking for already downloaded files" forever, all of the apps give the same result, whether they are Update, Repair or DCS. DCS exe is missing I have disabled Windows Defender, still no luck. I don't have any anti-virus - fresh windows 10 install. ---- Turns out I had to wait a LOOONG time for it to work. But now I don't know how to delete thie topic, so disregard.
  9. Bombs and Rockets won't drop off pylons, Crosshair won't work sometimes Yeah, because lying is exactly what I’d do. Hence, I invented stories just to post them on these forums, because I have no better use of my time. But hey, when your ass gets handed to you - insinuate dishonesty in your opponent and run. You need to see the definition of “going out of your way”. And you need to work your sarcasm muscle - it can barely lift an ounce of my previous message. Props for that “graceful” exit, as graceful as a rhino in a small china porcelain store. Maybe try to use methods other than “haha funny name” to bring your point across before you get your own medicine given back to you after which point you promptly retreat. Also, try to think less of other people’s opinions, even if that’s a crowd, because following the voice of the crowd is unhealthy to say the least. That’s how they used to justify public executions of scientists in the West way back, maybe it’s in your genes?... But I digress. P.S. maybe before writing passive-aggressive replies, try to read the whole post? That could save you some embarrassment. Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Bombs and Rockets won't drop off pylons, Crosshair won't work sometimes I have no problem when people are telling me if I am wrong. But, when I repeat the test several times AND the problem persists even if the conditions are different and the controls are not touched at all, except for what is described in the tutorial - I have a problem. Besides, it wasn’t the sticks fault, as I’ve seen the button for pickle pressed in the game and my modes switch is on my HOTAS for easy access - trust me, as I’ve tried that too. I didn’t throw a tantrum and post here because of some emotional outburst, the problem persisted for two days, in both SP and MP. As for the peer pressure and crowd opinion - I don’t care. I’m in the business of telling people something they don’t know and discovering things nobody has ever found out before me in the name of Science (!), so if I would cave in to everyone’s opinion I wouldn’t be doing my job. As for my nickname, I mean... come one man. johnv2pt0... Apostle John was spreading Christian religion among the people who have never believed in Christ, probably never seen him, and they were all trying to convince him that he doesn’t exist, and you’re telling me that I have to succumb to everyone’s “proof”? The irony. I’m not saying Christianity is right or God exists, but the nickname game is not one you want to play here. Anyway, it hasn’t repeated itself yet, like I’ve said. 11. Yeah, sure. It can outturn the F-14 easily. What you don’t wan is a WVR in F-14, hence the big pointy stick they call Phoenix. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. RalfiDude's F-14 Video Recon plane does not have any weapons (despite the ones US drew on it later). It does not have orders to engage either. Try again. And actually google stuff before you post nonsensical replies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Just awful “Before it was cool” when 15 was released you didn’t have much to play with. When I was making the 15bis missions I tried to use everything from Mustang and F-5 up to MiG 21 and Mirage 2000 (when they came about). It is fun to fight against impossible odds once in a while. The sense of achievement you get when you tear down a new-ish fighter on a 15bis is overwhelming. Mostly going fast does you no good as you get loss of control and rudder reversal. But if you let them tail you and then use the brake they either go high or they pass you and try to reduce speed to circle back. That’s when they get the triple cannon treatment. You can fight like this even with wet feet with no terrain cover (provided you get really close to them so their missiles fly past). But what I did in my missions is I’ve sent a fighter screen next to me, so that their radar missiles would be fired at my buddies. Also, in a close quarters dogfight, the F-5 tends to spend their missiles very quickly and they fire them off at very bad angles. Sure, you get shot down once in a while, but it isn’t the same as fighting a Sabre. That thing is vicious. Though, in the future if you make adjustments to a campaign, it’s much more fun to blow up tanks dodging Shilka than to get an IR missile up you afterburner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Yeah terrain and a lot of turning. I sometimes pop the brakes and flare to let them overshoot. They tend to go off into a climb. Watch your 6 and try to predict their next movement. Also, flying upside down tends to screw with their aim, so I sometimes turn my plane into upside down position. Mostly it’s terrain and speed management. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. RalfiDude's F-14 Video If you’re pushed - push harder. Some people are like stray dogs - they only understand forceful treatment. Nothing wrong with that. Already there is some sizzling but thirst from Tom Cruise lovers like turkeydriver who just can’t help but try to demean anyone who doesn’t like their platform. By the way, even the later models of F-14 where the engine was finally replaced were way below Russian tech at the time. Even in early-mid 90s. The only reason Tomcat survived this long was because USSR collapsed, as taking out Carriers was no longer Bear’s primary job, neither was Tomcat meant for Fleet mission defence in 90s, as escort ships could easily perform that task instead. 16. Just know that your opinion does not change facts, no matter how much you want it to be a Hollywood movie, okay? Just remember that. MiG-23 MLD can easily take on Eagle, to say nothing of F-14. And as for facts - see the Phoenix missile effectiveness for yourself. I also love how you probably know your “facts” from some Western “Military Expert” biography at most, as that’s not at all what MLD was designed for (sneak attacks are the stuff of transformers, maybe it’s time to change your comic books to textbooks)? Good try though, made me laugh a bit at how you take your jab at me seriously. The one thing Westerners have going for them is their superiority complex. How well did that work in Iraq? ))) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. RalfiDude's F-14 Video The lengths you have to go to to make sure that fanboys don’t attack you. I was jumped by them on Reddit, then mods banned me AND insulted me because apparently if you say anything about the F-14 module or criticise it in any way, a hundred thousand screeching babies will decide to ruin your day. To behave anything like a normal human being, and not a teenagerish British 60s girl seeing Beatles in front of her is extremely frowned upon. This is how sims get destroyed. Don’t dare mention that F-14 was not a good platform - especially due to weak engines and bad missile effectiveness and their extreme cost, by the way, and most people were glad it was phased out in the Navy. Just sayin’ that a MiG-23 could easily take it on (well, unless it’s an unarmed Libyan scout that is literally WVR). As for Jester - it’s one step away from being a buddy in a “certain” arcade game to provide plot development through dialogue. Maybe they’ll go even further and give him background in the campaign, like he used to be a shady mercenary who lost his entire family to a freak premature ejection accident. 18. You’re welcome, although, I wonder why people have to start new threads instead of posting in mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. “Monitor your six” I’ve spent 80% of the mission looking over my shoulder for possible missile launches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. One of them said to me something along the lines of “Screw you, but I know you wouldn’t understand cause English isn’t your first language”. That’s the “fluffy” version, the wording was... very different. This is bad, I mean even below steam-kazareal and VEAO-don’t-you-say-nothing-bout-muh-Hawk level bad. 21. This guy gets me. The only way I’ve done it which does not require playing several hundred times over and over again is staying over the FARP and hunting down SU-25Ts, don’t even think about going next to the hill as that is pretty much impossible (unless you are extremely lucky) and leave the Su-25As alone. Watch the buddies though, as they tend to bait you into attacking lead and then launch an IR into you. Zoom from the top and circle the FARP at 2,000 meters looking for targets. Engage them on their egress from attack as the first Su is followed almost surely by his buddy who is literally going to get you in his sights as you try to take the lead on the ingress. 22. Just awful Wow, the response I am getting is just sad. Either say it is great or get bullied by everyone into this opinion. Pathetic. If that’s the kind of attitude the community has, then I don’t think I’d want to make anything for it. Considering the absolute biological trash the reddit “Hoggit” admins are, I’m not surprised. 23. I’ve specifically said the voice acting was the highlight of the campaign, apart from one instance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Just awful Sure, autocomplete works. Did you maybe, not think for a second that the reason I criticise his design was because I was interested in completing the campaign (which I did), not because it was “hard”? The mission design is broken in some places, in some it is illogical. I do not fall into the fallacy of big effort = high marks and acknowledgement. I don’t value pure effort just because it was done, I value the end result. My sim experience is in my comments: I’ve been flying Retaliator and A-10 Cuba when the tanks were boxes and the GAU-8 was “voiced” by integrated speakers, but this campaign is awful.
