  1. Where do I find the new training missions please?

All I have are the MO1 then it goes to the MO4 section etc.

I have the latest version of the Open Beta running.

edit, Just seen elsewhere that I have to download them myself. I'll wait until they are released in an update, sorry to bother you all.

  2. Another vote for the Ka-50 here. I've just started to learn this and the tutorials out there are very dated and haphazard, which is not surprising as this module is very old in the DCS stable.

There are lots of tutorials for the more recently released modules so maybe going back in time would fill some holes out there for those of us trying out the older versions.

Whatever, will look forward to seeing your next videos, thanks.

  3. This won't answer or help with your question but I gave up years ago with the Saitek software, it just drove me crazy.

I just set it direct with the ED controls in the game and generally I have little problems including modifiers. Not perfect but light years better than the in built rubbish in my opinion.

  4. In the home screen select Instant Action and in the next box in the top right is an option to choose a map. If you choose Create Fast Mission there is an option in the next box to choose Theatre. In Mission Editor there is an option to choose Normandy on the first screen when you open a new one. Training won't have these as none are available as far as I remember.

  5. All improvements and fixes are always nice to read about but when these updates are released they are always described in one small sentence. Half the time I have little idea what they mean or they are quite ambiguous. A link to somewhere with a more detailed description would be appreciated now and again.

  6. After several days trying to get up to speed in the MiG to brave this server I took the plunge last night. "Learn the radios and read the Brief" I was told, so I did and still I couldn't talk to anyone except my ground crew. Taxiing like a tourist and eventually remembering to close my canopy I crawled to the runway. 2 strafes by the enemy and with a plane full of holes and my canopy cracked I was in position. Should I quit or continue? The thought of explaining to a ground crew how I had filled their plane full of holes without even getting off the ground pushed me on.

To cut a long story short I made it up but got swooped on by my nemesis again. After 10 minutes of showing him all my evading moves he eventually got fed up or probably just ran out of fuel or ammo.

I decided after all that I would land and book some leave as soon as I got out. I avoided eye contact with my ground crew as I climbed out and found a dark room to lie down in.

    I'll be back :)

  7. Resuming:

1.- Clic on DRM button for the Mig-21 inside Module Manager.

2.- Follow the steps to DEACTIVATE the Mig-21.

3.- Check that in EVERY DCS version the Mig-21 module is CHECKED. ( green check ).

4.- Clean de Registry using the .reg file provided in this thread.

5.- Update EVERY DCS version the user have.

6.- Clic on DRM button for the Mig-21 inside Module Manager.

7.- Follow the steps to ACTIVATE the Mig-21.

Please explain where the .reg file is provided, I can't find it either in this thread or in the pdf document.

  8. Hope you don't mind me asking this question here.

After several months away from the SU-25T I thought I'd give it a run out. I was mucking about with the auto pilot and I found that whenever I pressed LALT 3 to go into level flight I immediately descended a few thousand feet then eventually levelled off. Several times I had to intervene to stop myself flying into the ground.

No idea why this should occur, any ideas would be welcome please.

  9. i am sad to see no screenshots capturing the moment when

"XXX in Spitfire -> killed -> XXX in Su27" appeared in the chatlog.

or when you accept the backseat request while flying the l-39za, only to have a crazy huey pilot popping your IFR hood down while you are diving in to destroy a zu23 AA emplacement with rockets/bombs :-D

crazy good times on open conflict.

As someone who quietly trundles around in his Huey rescuing downed pilots (rarely successfully) and trying desperately not to get in the way I had to think, "was I that huey lol?"

I doubt it because I'm not brave enough to go 50 miles from any AA emplacement, which is probably why I rarely rescue anyone :)

    Ramble over.

  10. I fly DSC in Steam, I buy my modules in Steam, I have to wait for newer modules longer because I use Steam. I get fewer discount opportunities because I use Steam. I never gripe about it because it's my choice. I just use Steam because I find life easier. If it worried me I would change and can never quite understand why others don't do the same rather than moan about it.

Just saying, no big deal. Merry Christmas.

  11. Yes another thumbs up from me. I spend a few weeks on the A-10C then drift over to another module and when I return it's all new again to me. (Brain like a sieve).

I've watched several tutorials to help me get back into it but this is a cut above the rest.

I really like the way they are done and not a second is wasted and every word is relevant. I hope you will eventually expand to include more.

  12. I think it would be great to be able to place aircraft where ever I like, the same as can be done with a helicopter. The OP would be covered with this suggestion as he would be able to place his warbirds exactly how he imagined. It opens all sorts of possibilities, For example when the Viggen is released, my squadron will be doing landings on roads. It would be great if we could set a farp by a road, and line a few Viggens up strategically, take off, blow stuff up, return, refuel and rearm, and so on.

    Oh no.

I have a feeling this comment could get a visit from the realism police anytime :)

  13. As the road map says that there will be no F18 or 2.5 in 2016 and F18 needs another whole year is it true and official?

I have been playing chitty arcade games to kill time till the 2106 ends. Oh God what am I gonna do for the whole year

Buy another module and learn that thoroughly? Must be better than playing games you don't like?

  14. Thanks for asking the question Cavemanhead. I was too trying to set up a mission that had all my modules at one airfield (start up, take off, fly, land practice) which is easy to do but also wanted to simulate lots of traffic in and around the area.

Being a noob at all this is holding me back with the latter and despite searching can't find any pointers. All my AI aircraft seem to get easily bored with me and head off into the sunset to find something more interesting to do or just disappear :) Hopefully some helpful & intelligent person can give us a few hints.
