Since the L-39 is a Russian jet, is there one of the other plane's profile close enough to be loaded to be used for the L-39 ?

GrizzW, I am also spanking new and as confused as can be. However, like some other has said, 1.5.x and start with the free SU-27T is likely a better course to get going. google "DCS SU-27T tutorial" you should find a few youtube video series also.

Flagada002, did you get an answer via PM or any communication ? I am thinking of ordering as well but with an unknown website in Europe, I am a little skittish as well.

Is F5 both 1.5.x and 2.x compatible ? And if it is 2.x compatible, does it come package with the Nevada Terrain or needs to be purchased separately ?

Thanks droopy. With your comments, info from this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=141698 and some trial and error, got it fixed in my case. End up the modules that had zoom issue had TRACKIR mapped to Zoom View. After changing it to "Absolute Longtitude Shift Camera View" under AXis Commands of Controls setting + Delete the View folder under Saved Game\Config did the trick. Thanks again community !

When I do the module load and you first see cockpit view, it usually slowly zoom back and set on a default view angle. With I have either HeadTrackNoIR and TrackIR5enabled, the zoom will start but than abruptly zoom in to a "closer zoomed in view of the instrument panel. Any similar experience or suggestion ?

Thanks Shaken. That works and understands the logic a little better now. Reading back Polaris' original instruction makes more sense now. For now, remaining question is what steps 2, "Install JSM" does. When do we need it ? Sounds like it is a Mod ?

100% Newbie here. But I did read all 18 pages first before posting question. Q1. Is step 2 "Install JSME" necessary if I am not using Custom Control ? I actually don't know what Custom Control in this context means. Q2. Without installing JSME (i.e. Step 2), I was able to import profile but got a lot of red highlight in the control panel. And for example the view function like joystick button 12 for F2 Aircraft view and other buttons do not work also. Is it because I did not install JSME ? As i delete the entire module folder, replace with the downloaded one, clear all the binding under throttle and joystick, and then import. So it should be very clean. Appreciate correction and direction to continue.

Thanks, I installed CH drivers and calibrated. Will try the suggestion to clear all and manually assign. Challenge is I don't even know what makes sense to map which key/control to which button. Assume that will be long trial and errors.

Disclaimer, this is a Nobo question for sure. I tried search on forum and google also but have not been able to find much posting that is recent enough. Totally new to DCS World, after keyboard and mouse, realize need to invest in gear so bought these: CH Products Fighterstick CH Products Pro Throttle Thrustmaster TFRP Flight Rudder Pedals (Just released) DCS World seem to "see" the CH Products equipment but flight stick and throttle on the computer cockpit jerks around. Plus I can't seem to even know what the rudder is doing. Any help pointing to a direction or source to learn and set up is appreciated.

Or if one wait long enough when 2.x is released and been out for a while, the new Nevada map will be bundled with other future 2.0 modules ?

Have 1.5.x right now. Just saw this week's Promo with the "L-39 Albatros + DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Range Map" deal that is only 2.0 compatible. Have not been able to find an answer on FAQ. So the question is. Can both 1.5.x and 2.x be run on the same computer (run at different time, i.e. not together of course).
