I obtained the AH-64D very recently, and was wondering why my trim inputs were making the aircraft less stable rather than easier to fly with pedal match up, less force required, etc. Well, it's because I had curvatures (fixed wing habit) in my axis tune configs. Under these circumstances (read helicopter) trim actions put your inputs out on the sensitive part of the input curve (steep in this case) and you have a bucking bronco on your hands. So my AH-64D 'curves' are now linear. Less slope as necessary with Y axis saturation (70) and maybe a unit or two of deadzone. But Curvature at zero (0). Lo and behold I can fly this beast. Winwing stick with short extension (light spring return to center); Thrustmaster TPR rudder pedals (Stock - return to center springs) and both Trimmer Modes set to "INSTANT TRIM (FFB FRIENDLY)". One second rather than an instantaneous trim re-position (as in Kiowa) would be better but it is what it is. Night and Day. jda8818

Thank you MAXsenna! We're done with this! Cheers back at ya! jda8818 PS: I'm enjoying the new fog!

I stated the order number, not the serial or license number. I specifically omitted calling out the license number and indicated that I had it if it became necessary. This portion of the forum is designated to provide a customer service function. I edited my post and removed the order number. MAXsenna reposted my post and that is the only remnant of the situation to include the order number. Was it necessary for MAXsenna to repost what is apparently a very sensitive number? Is it possible for MAXsenna to edit his own post? Am I able to ask that someone else's post be edited because I ask that it be done? If MAXsenna wants me to submit a support ticket I will be happy to do so.

Found the P-51D in the 'Piston Engine' section of the launcher, and cycled in on and off. Performed another repair. Brought up another machine and logged in (as myself) and the P-51 was available in that case on that machine. Went back to my main machine and it is working now as well. Using Malwarebytes. So problem solved. Actually it went away. I'm not sure why. I going to exclude the DCS folders in my AV scan material as a matter of course. jda8818 PS: I edited my post which was the subject of MAXsenna's reply to this thread. But apparently I can't edit the reposted quote. So if the reply needs to be edited/deleted please do so.

More Info: P-51D file appears in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\My Aircraft including P-51D. It appears that this is the folder that contains those modules that I have purchased. jda8818

Thanks to MAXsenna and pete_auau for their responses/suggestions, but I can't find any quarantined files that relate to DCS, and nothing since June of this year. Doesn't seem like a quarantine issue. Jda8818

Obtained and installed the F5-E update today, and since then my Authorization fails at login and I'm messaged that the my P-51 is being disabled. The P-51 appears in my in-game module manager as enabled. However the new launcher list of files does not contain the P-51. Hence the failure I suppose. Has been working fine although I haven't flown the P-51 recently. Tried a repair without change. As always, any and all suggestions or advice is appreciated, jda8818

Success. Obtained the upgrade price of $9.99 and was able to use my my miles. Thanks to Virgo47 for the solution. And my apologies to everyone else for my confusion. jda8818

OK, I think I need to login to the DCS website with my game ID and password. I must have surmised that if I was logged in at a sufficient level to play the game I would be logged in at a sufficient level to spend money. It's worked in the past, that's for sure. But maybe not for special offers. jda8818

I'm logged in as a player to the game, which is where the option under the "Special Offers" tab appears at a price of 9.99. I'm also logged in to the forum which I believe is necessary for me to post messages and replies. Maybe: My game username is jda, but my forum username is jda8818. Is it possible that this is causing a problem? I'd be suprised to discover I'm the first to be set up in this way but ??? jda8818

I own the original F-5E. I purchased it earlier this year, within the last six months or so. When clicking on 'Buy' in the module manager (at the quoted $9.99 price) I'm redirected to a purchase page where this price is shown to be $59.99. I added it to my cart and continued, but the price remained $59.99. At that point I deleted the item and typed up my message. Thank you for the reply and the affirmation of the actual price. Now I guess I need to ask you how to obtain the quoted discounted price of $9.99. Thank you in advance once again, jda8818

Purchased the DCS F5-E less than six months ago. My in-game Module Manager shows the upgrade price to be $9.99, but by clicking on the 'Buy' button I'm sent back to the generic availability option of $59.99. What is the actual price? I'm certainly ready to pay the $9.99, for the upgraded module. But an additional $59.99 for the upgrade? And when the $9.99 price is quoted in my module manager? What is going on? I'm not ready to believe you guys are working a bait-and-switch ... jda8818

Pitch line adjustment not working? (EB/CC)
jda8818 replied to gulredrel's topic in DCS: C-101 AvioJet
Greetings to everyone and Happy Thanksgiving 2024: Ref update v 2.9.9.2474 DCS Aviojet C-101EB -- ADI pitch indicator adjustment knob spins but does not move pitch indicator position. Backup Attitude indicator seems to work OK. C-101CC: Different ADI. Can't seem to find any way to attempt an adjustment of the pitch indicator position. Knob in usual suspect position apparently adjusts decision height. Same story with backup indicator. FYI -- Nicely modeled airplane. Well Done. jda8818 -
Youtube video guy whose channel is known as 'Growler Jams' has several videos of himself in the EA-18G Growler which are interesting. He apparently spent about ten years flying the Growler off of carriers etc and is now instructing somewhere in the southwest in the T-45. Pretty cool videos including one real-life example of in-flight refueling in the Growler which I enjoyed when I was struggling with the DCS F18. He is a good narrator. I'm hoping for more from him in the T-45. I'm certainly going to check out the DCS community version ... Thanks Again MAXsenna! jda8818
