  1. Could I ask what is meant by 'ASW'? I too am a VR user (Oculus) and no matter which PD setting or graphic setting I use I cannot get anything better than 45fps
  2. Thanks for info. I've tried everything. Refresh tabs etc ... updated to 2.1, tried repair ... module shows (greyed out) along bottom but doesn't appear in the module manager. In frustration I've uninstalled 2.0 & am downloading/installing again. Im very dismayed in what you apparently have to do to get this module up and running. I have no clues on 'shells' or 'command prompts' etc and none of this wasn't stated whilst I was reading up the Normandy map. I just paid my money and waited patiently until 26th - expecting the module to 'rightfully' appear in the module manager after udpating the version to 2.1 etc. Guess I'm going to have to take a crash course in computer software writing before I can take to the skies of Normandy.
  3. Hi. So where do we download a release of DCS World 2.0 different to the early access (OpenAlpha)? Where do we find a stable release version that will have Normandy map show up within the module manager? Thanks.
  4. Thanks - Had a look at the examples etc and tried to dissect as well as I could but I think I'm running before I can walk as I do not even understand the basics it seems - 'flags' for example ... what they are?! their significance, how they're numbered, etc etc. I was following the other guys' "example" & was mirroring it ok up to the point I had a look at the advanced actions in the waypoint conditions & came across a 'ELPRS' or something similar & just lost it all after that as I couldn't find it within the drop down list on my little mission. I'm not a mission builder in any way & have no understandings of script language etc & all I merely want is to be able to have a vehicle waiting for me off the runway after roll out & to have it guide me back to the ramp. I thought it was going to an easy case of creating the unit, giving it waypoints & throwing down some kind've trigger whereby when the players enters that zone, the vehicle follows the route & waypoint parameters you've given it. If anyone knows of an idiots guide to triggers, 'flags' etc then I'd be very appreciative in wanting to view it. Cheers for the help thus far. I'm sure I'll get there ;)
  5. To both of you ... many many thanks for your help & links. Very much appreciated :)
  6. If no one can help with advice on creating a 'Follow Me' vehicle, does anyone know of a good & easy-to-understand tutorial on moving vehicles, triggers etc. My searches have been quite fruitless. Thank you.
  7. Having just finished the training missions in the awesome MiG-15, & particularly enjoying ther landing training whereby a 'follow me' vehicle was waiting for me to roll out at the end of the runway, & to guide me back to the ramp. It really was a great idea & very realistic/immersive & I came to thinking that I would love to include such things in the mission editor but my ME skills are quite basic; knowing that they possibly have something to do with triggers? Could someone with the right knowledge possibly explain to me in a few easy steps (if possible), just how to go about setting up to get such a vehicle waiting for me off the runway to guide the player back to parking ramp?! I'm assuming you give the vehicle it's set waypoints and set up some sort of trigger function for when the player enters a certain point at the runway's end? Any help would be very appreciated indeed.
  8. No disputes at all over the 3 winners on their great videos, many congratulations, and to a great competion. I would very much like to take away from this, a chance of learning in order to become better at this sim video making and any constructive criticism or comments on my vid really would be welcomed. Realising I need to perfect the skills of Jet flying a little more aswell as knowing how to get the smoke system to work but any other comments would be most welcomed.
  9. Ok - hoping they will be included. Since asking the question I've found quite a few commands that I use regularly in 1.5.3 that are also completely missing in 2.0.2, such as the ability to map the 2 NADIR knobs to joystick. So so much easier than using mouse, due to the nature of where they are. This Gazelle is a truly great simulation experience & I've spent rather a long time creating s workable joystick map which mirrors the real thing as much as possible and at the moment, with so many controls missing, I can't get to replicate my 1.5.3 map at all. Fingers crossed they this'll change ;)
  10. Hi -Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere but I can see no info on it so am asking the following. After having flown with the Gazelle in DCS 1.5.3 I've moved it over to 2.0.2 but I can find absolutely no sign of the TV brightness & Contrast axes which I have mapped to my slider & Rotary controls of my X52 Pro in 1.5.3; & more worryingly, no sign of a Trimmer Reset button (Left Control + T) which I also use all the time over in 1.5.3. Any help with finding how to map these functions in 2.0.2 would be very appreciatively received. Cheers.
  11. Thank you. Been a fan of SSP since their debut album, great band & as you say; great to fly to. It was either going to be Panic Switch or the recent Night Lights with this video. Some absolutely 'stunning' videos in this thread so to have a word of praise is remarkable indeed - cheers
  12. ... agreed. Different league. Amazing visuals & composition - stunning camera movements. Kicked well into touch :)
