I definitely have the latest 2.4.0.11 but I still get these options: Enable DLSS-FG override Enable DLSS-RR override Enable DLSS-SR override Not sure why that is, or what these 3 refer to but I will do as you suggested.

I can't seem to pick DCS.exe in the Inspector, I type "dcs" but nothing appears. I tried Digital Combat Simulator: Black Shark but then my options look very different to the screenshots people have put in the recent posts.. grateful for any ideas?

Question on CPU/GPU load measurement?
MichaelJWP15 replied to MichaelJWP15's topic in Virtual Reality
Thanks for replies, will do some testing -
Just wondering what people think is the best way currently of measuring stats while the game is playing, particularly CPU/GPU load, as I know there are quite a few ways of doing this? (Looking at what best to next target for upgrade, CPU, GPU, RAM...)

I know Part of me is glad though as it was a lot of money. I can manage with my 4070 for a bit longer.

I was on the Nvidia website at 2pm hoping to get a 5080 FE, refreshing every so often. It showed initially "Coming Soon" but after a few minutes that changed to "Out of Stock".. They must have sold out in seconds! Oh well, think I will stick to my 4070 for now, I'm not paying the inflated prices for 3rd party cards.

I have MIG Killers, and it's great, but way to much A2A for my liking. I'm VR only, and I don't like using labels as it breaks immersion, and at typical ranges in a turning fight in a fast jet, you just can't get the proper insight into your opponent's orientation and energy level. So I much prefer A2G. Need more missions for that please

Difficult to say unless a pilot has flown both types.. I guess someone, somewhere who has access to the actual stats (which wire, bolters and mishaps) could provide definitive evidence on that.

Interesting thread. Like many, I find air refuelling one of the most challenging flying tasks in DCS. In the F-4E I can connect fairly easily but very tricky staying on the boom, mainly due to the slow response of the throttles. It feels fairly realistic though. How do you mute Jester, he's not really saying anything wrong, I just find him distracting?

I find this the weirdest thing about the Phantom. No other aircraft I have flown (sim or real life) you would roll using the rudder alone.. takes some getting used to!

Anyone getting into VR on a PC needs to understand this is still very much a hobbyist environment. I have been involved in the industry and as a player in videogame graphics for 25+ years and I still find it challenging to setup and configure a PC application with optimal VR settings. And even then the software configuration requires constant attention. This is not to forgive Pimax, but there are a lot of "moving parts" both in hardware and software, not all of which are under their control. Patience very much required...

Feedback Thread - F-4E Phantom II Patch, September 30th 2024

Great work Heatblur .. just tried the first mission of the Yom Kippur mini-campaign, just the kind I like; low level ground attack with not too long distances for ingress/egress. -
DCS core game bugs impacting Mig Killers.

Yes, partly my fault in this case. Won't do it again! -

Yes, the DCS bugs are a little annoying. I had done everything in mission 6, checked my wingmans jet out for battle damage, no issues. Fell into trail, and as I was doing so, he managed to somehow reverse/slide right into me, killing us both I appreciate the way these missions are set up though, where you can play the parts individually if you want to. In the absence of a DCS save game these are very useful, even though it means playing them in the mission editor means you don't progress the campaign in the main interface. -
I've been very much enjoying the campaign, though I am a very undisciplined air combat pilot! Even though I have the best intentions of sticking to the blackboard plan, within very few seconds I am throwing the jet all over the sky on the very limit of control and AoA. I have no real clue whether I am doing an egg, a half-cuban or a rolling scissors I play in VR with full HOTAS which is superb but I do find it very hard to glance down at my airspeed/AoA without losing sight of the bandit. And yes, the AI crashes into the ground for me probably 3 out of every 4 fights. The algorithm doesn't seem to take the terrain into account so I really hope ED address this.
