Quick Question I have always used your updater to update DCS I now have DCS 1.5.8.12823 as well as DCS 2.5.1.16543. At this point can I uninstall DCS 1.5.8.12823 using the programs and features page in Control Panel? I think I read somewhere that if you update using the DCS installer it will ask you if you want to uninstall DCS 1.5. As this does not happen when using your updater I take it it is ok for me to uninstall 1.5 myself at this point. Thanks

Just opened the autoupdate_log.txt file in DCS 2.5 folder and near the bottom it says STATUS:Successfully updated to 'openbeta' 2.5.0.14304.321. So I take it that all is well. I just don't understand why it is being referred to as open alpha in your updater app? The folder in Windows is still being called Eagle Dynamics/DCSWorld 2 OpenAlpha When I update to the release version will it change the folder name in Windows to DCSWorld 2.5 Thanks again

I did as you instructed. Clicked on Update to latest open Beta. I had 2.2.0.12343.297 installed. Your updater tells me I now have 2.5.0.14304.321 OPEN ALPHA installed? I do not understand why I ended up with Open Alpha instead of Open Beta I do not understand the difference between Open Alpha and Open Beta. Will I still be able to update to the 2.5 Release version? Updating to 2.5 Can your utility be used to update to 2.5? I have Release build 1.5.8.12667 and Open Alpha 2.2.0.12448 installed. I have read the post on the DCS forums on how we are supposed to update many times now and it is still not clear to me what has to be done? I just tried to update my Release build 1.5.8 to the 2.5 open beta but all it wanted to do was update to a newer version of 1.5.8? From their post on the forums about the update they mention 1.5.8 Open Beta not Release Build? So does that mean I can not update to 2.5 open beta? Do I need to update from within DSC once it is running? I am really in need of help understanding what to do. The 30 paged on the forum really did not clarify it for me. Hoping some kind soul can help guide me in the right direction. Thanks

I would sure like to know how you make it work? Any buttons or switches that I assign on the Gazelle will not stay on or off unless the button is held which renders any mapping of controls useless. Is there any way to get around this or do you have no other choice than to use the mouse for the Gazelle?

I Can Fly! I Can Fly!! Thanks guys I switched from game to Sim mode and it finally worked. I enabled the throttle switch and it had to be inverted as well? The throttle is not working properly because Windows calibration does not work as it should for the collective and throttle. Don't know what other people are doing to overcome that problem, guess I will ask Richard at Komodo Simulations Those Komodo controls are expensive but they make a world of difference in a persons ability to fly helis!!

I have the Komodo Cyclic and Collective and need to reverse the x axis on the collective. Had a hard time to program the collective, I assigned it to Joy X but it was not reacting in the sim,I checked it in windows so I know it was working. I assigned it quite a few time and finally it worked, but now it shows up as Joy_Z;Joy_X? It did this by itself I only assigned Joy_X. Now the problem is that the collective is reversed!! To raise the collective you have to push down? It is hard enough to fly a heli without the control working backwards! I have read some pdf's but can not find any info on reversing an axis. Updating Your Updater-Utility I have Updater Utility-95-29-2016-1 installed I have downloaded Updater Utility-10-06-2016-2 To update do I simply copy the new exe file and have it replace the old exe that is within the DCS folder? Thanks

I downloaded quite a few Video files last week and I have been searching for 3 days now and I can not find them again. They install into Mods/aircrafts/which ever model it is for/ Missions/en. There was one called Fighter_Weapons_School_Video_Setup_en.exe,A-10A_Video and Ka-50_Video to name a few. Could someone please tell me where to find them again. Thanks

Glad I found this post. I have DCS 1.5 and DCS 2 and was trying to install JSGME for both and was not having any luck.Works like a charm now that you explained how to do it. What is considered a mod? I know some of the things you can add are mods.but what about planes,helis and things like Flaming Cliffs are they considered mods? I just bought NTTR with the A-10C and the Red Flag Campaign. You can not download them then install you have to do it from within the game as far as I can see,or am I missing something? Thanks AS you can see I am a new to DCS!

I got mixed up with the Time zones and missed the sale by a few hours! Was all set to purchase Flaming Cliffs 3 +DCS A-10C Warthog +DCS Black Shark 2!! Guess I will have to wait till next time. By the time I Downloaded and installed DCS 1.5 I was too late.:(
