Thanks to both, both was good information however I did buy the laptop cooler and it works fantastic, temp stays around 65 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. perfect

My old computer died now I got a laptop notebook, ROG Strix Gaming, 64 RAM 2TB My problem is this, while fly and bombing, straffing etc, the back of the laptop get really hot, not hot enough to burn the hand but almost burn hand.
Has anyone got a laptop that does the same thing, fan run constantly in PLAY mode. I don't want to quit playing but if I have to quit I will.
can anyone tell me if thats normal or not normal, the heat. if its not normal then I have to quit, i do not want to ruin a $3000 machine
Please guy anyone who has a laptop who might help I would appreciate it, thanks

OK, my latest DCS World update is 291.48335 does that contain the New Syria Map by Ugra Media.
I could not tell if we already have the update or if it is coming
I have the Syria Map is it automatically updated with the next DCS update
Any help in interrupting the March 1 letter would be appreciated

My X-56 Joystick just went out! This is what happens: I move the joystick and the jet will not pitch or roll until I move the Joystick half the distance. in other words I cannot move the jet with the usual short movements. This happened all of a sudden, in order to pitch down or up I have to move the joystick half the distance of the joystick and it is very sluggish, slow, same with roll and no adjustments of the axis tune help. This is very hard to explain. Can someone please advise.
Before I pushed joystick for pitch down I could move jet with short movement now it takes long and sluggish movement just to move the aircraft, and not adjustments of the axis helps

TRIMMED AUTOPILOT WILL NOT HOLD POSITION, SHORTLY BEFORE WAS PERFECT, NOW IT WILL SLOWLY CLIMB OR DIVE IN EITHER ATTH OR BALT
Left MDI has on it ADV: Bit BALT AND ATTH when clicked on on either
Any know about this or have trouble with this system now and not before>

I don't usually make a comment in the time I have been with DCS, but I will never understand why we should loose all our combat hours when we are trying to learn a new aircraft and have an accident with another aircraft on the ground.

Ok, I have an X56, the Joystick all of a sudden went out, that is the yaw and roll have lots of play, aircraft, helicopter uncontrollably up, down, roll
tried to adjust does no good. Joystick takes large movements, no longer is tight pitch control or roll. Very difficult to explain. Can anyone assist

Have been using the X56, the only one I have ever used, for sometime now, flying different Helicopters, fixed wing. All of a sudden Joystick became sloppy, that is, in order to get a reaction from the aircraft I have to move the stick quite a distance for pitch and roll etc. It is no longer controlable. I was doing fine, then sloppy, can't even lock-on during a BFM. Jet all over the sky
Anyway, anyone know why this could have happen, (long movements of the stick). Its difficult to explain, its just that the joystick is no longer short tight movements to control the Jet.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a good throttle Joystick combo. or a FIX for the X56, thanks

For the life of me I cannot get this right, here goes: On MISSION, FA18, "combat mission-patriot Exp, load is 4x AGM-154a, 2 different targets, JSOW
I think I programed first target right, but what is confusing me is do I need to program each station, 3,7,2,8 separately OR ON PP do I program STA 3-7 using only STA 3 and then STA 7 will fire automatically for first target and STA 2 for second target all for PP mode. JSOW. In other words, how do I program IN PP Mode, for kill off two targets.

Normally when I purchased a module, aircraft, helicopter etc., I would get a receipt back from DCS. I just purchased the Mosquito, Pre-paid, but did not get any receipt from DCS, has something changed? Other then my Profile and Visa there is not a receipt from DCS.
Can someone tell me if that has changed

How long does it nomally take to open the "DCS World Open Beta" on your computer
Before, a couple of months ago, when I clicked the ICON DCS World Open Beta, program opened in about 15 to 20 seconds no it takes 43 secounds, is that about right with all the changes or should it be less,

I'm not a pilot, but I do know this, since I have been in DSC my F/A 18 has been my main enjoyment, my F-16 is fun, but not enjoyable. To me you have to enjoy to fly, especially if your 75 years old and never flown or played video games, like me.. I have all of the jets and most of the recips I have flown all, not good, but am having a ball before to late ha ha. I have alot to learn, however, guys here in DCS will bend over backwards to help. I will say air to air is really hard but am working on it, weapon system great at least to me it is. Carrier landing fun, few crashes but interesting. Final, purchase DCS F/A-18 I believe you will not regret it.
